    That was 100% a touchback on the Bailey fumble after the INT. Funny how calls like that can completely change history…No guarantee New England would have come back after that but that was absolutely the wrong call, and I’m a Ravens fan so there is no bias.

    • @jrg2010
      @jrg2010 3 месяца назад

      If it was 100% a touchback then there would need to be conclusive video evidence to overturn the call on the field, which they could not find. It was close but ultimately there was never a definitive angle to show that the ball went through the back of the end zone.
      It was too big of a play for NE not to challenge in that situation but there was never enough evidence to overturn the original call on the field. It was a nerve wracking review but they got the call correct

      @adisridharan4299 3 года назад +1

      @@JohnGoetzGaming that pick sucked, but he really doesn't deserve most of the blame for this loss. All around, the team didn't play well. His o-line kept on getting false start penalties that hindered or even killed drives. Brown, Hobbs, and Faulk fumbled in this game, giving the broncos more opportunities to score (they scored 14 of 27 points off of those fumbles). Vinatieri's fg miss also sucked. So I agree that Brady didn't make the best decision with that pick, but he wasn't the pats biggest problem that day.

    I still think it should have been a safety on Bailey's INT. Something about playing in Miami and Denver has always had Brady struggling. This Pats team was injured so much they set a record with 45 different starters throughout the year. Bruschi was never the same after his stroke. Losing Rodney in week 3 to an ACL injury. 5 turnovers. Just wasn't in the cards to win that year

      I remember that no camera angle at the time could give me a definitive answer on whether it was touchback or not on Bailey's fumble, so i find hard to question the referees decision on that.
      But your comment is pretty much spot on. I'd also add that on that same week 3 game the Patriots also lost Matt Light, their best pass protector, to a broken leg. And there was also Corey Dillon going from the best year of his career in 2004 to the worst in 2005.

      @@IanMalcolm-rw5pn Yes and all those games were in Foxborough. But as much as i respect the toughness with how the Ravens play on the road in the playoffs, my point is how senseless those comparisons are.
      I mean, it's just like i said before, if you want to compare stats: Brady is 30-10 overall in the playoffs while the Ravens as a franchise has literally half the number of playoff wins as Brady (15-9).

    It's sad this was the year Mike Shanahan had a 13-3 team and could of silence the critics of "He Can't win without Elway and Terrell Davis" but man Plummer had to be a INT and Fumble machine the following week to Pittsburgh don't blame Shanahan getting Cutler even though he sucked Shanahan after 06 never built around a defense and he had 3 Defense coordinators 06,07,08 and never silence anyone he was lucky he had John Elway

      Plummer to a fault tried to make up for the defense playing like crap and the o-line making Steelers on top of Jake look like gang rape.
      Plummer had a 102 in feever the morning of the AFCC game, and he was pretty much the only one trying to win.
      It was a BAD game by all - Bailey dropped an int on Steelers first drive, and defense did not stop drives.

      I was at that AFC Championship game. Jake Plummer did everything he could. The team was it playing their best and Jake was too accustomed to trying to carry the whole team to win in AZ. It was heartbreaking to watch. Like Stafford, he was one of those guy you always wanted to see succeed after playing from behind his whole career.
