Oppenheimer is an absolute masterpiece that left me captivated from start to finish. This biographical drama is a cinematic triumph that skillfully weaves history, emotion, and thought-provoking themes together to create an unforgettable film experience.
@Shawn_Dark_Heart I think it might have There Will Be Blood disease. One of those movies that fades into the background while the lead performance- Daniel Day Lewis as Daniel Plainview, Cilian Murphy as Oppenheimer, is remembered
The US government built many towns for special projects and for weapons production during WWII. Certain metals were in such high demand, like silver, that they melted down millions of silver dollars stored in the US Treasury Depository to provide wiring and buss bars for the Y-12 nuclear Plant located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
They’re questioning Oppenheimer because back then, just like there is in America today, there’s a big panic about Communism. Being connected to it in any way, as Oppenheimer was through various family and proximity to certain organizations, was good enough to be considered a traitor or potential traitor.

My favorite movie from this year. Cillian deserves to win an Oscar for his performance, his acting is outstanding and he has been giving great performances for a while
I have not experienced high level of academia but from my understanding it's not exactly a noble search to help humanity. From what my experience people compete in all things. I've been around the block enough to know how people can be the worst cut throats imaginable. Now try to imagine those same types of competitive people super intelligent... I personally don't find that realm all that appealing. I'd rather hang out with the movie explorers any day of the week.
Wouldn't call it gratuitous. It speaks to their mindset, character and what they were going through. Ignoring sex is treating sex as a huge deal, not showing it.
Nolan mentioned the black and white aspect is a representation of Strauss’ perspective while the part that is in color is supposed to be that of Oppenheimers perspective.
The black and white stands for a more "objective" perspective by showing the conspiracy and paranoia of this patheticly narcissistic politician that was Strauss
This Movie is such a good but also an Cruel . Just the scence where Oppenheimer Sees how many people Are death because of his work is such as much heartbreaking them is beatiful ( sry for my Bad englisch)
Cruel? His work saved millions and millions of lives. Including millions of Japanese. In addition the bomb stopped wars between major powers saving potentially 100 million.
Bhagavad Gita - In the epic Mahabharata war, it is said that the weapon Brahmāstra was able to destroy the whole universe, capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings. No wonder why Oppenheimer was so inspired and obsessed with this book.
The black and white scenes are the parts of the movie that are definitive fact. The coloured scenes are the one being told from someone's point of view or personal accounts

This is ridiculous! How do these reaction channels expect viewers to follow along when, every few seconds, the film is cut in order to avoid being copyrighted? Only a Patreon subscription makes this type of video watchable.
@@mrog2433 Which I would've liked were it not for the bad editing, wobly camera work, constant shouting and that hideous constant music in every second of the film. Highly overrated.
@@mrog2433 I get it but first off they market it as an action packed extravaganza from the creator of Inception. Let’s start with Tenet. I don’t understand the movie but I still believe it’s a masterpiece. I believe it’s one of the greatest movies of this decade or of all time. Because of how creative it was to think of and then execute. As much as I admire Inception and understand it way better I still feel that Tenet is even better than that. But Oppenheimer? First of all I like jerking off to Florence Pugh as much as the next guy but that seen in the office was laughable. The science was glossed over and not even the explosion made the movie worth it… they didn’t even show an explosion. Just a flash and close up if a rising cloud of fire. I firmly believe people just say they liked it just to appear smart.

2:30 one of the best soundtracks of all time. Every composer should try to create music on that level.
Yep - Ludwig’s score for this movie surely deserves an Oscar. I will be disappointed if it doesn’t win
Hope this movie will take home all the Oscars.
Here we are lol
"To end all wars" is a reference to the fact that there has never been a major war between great powers since the atom bomb.
FAVOURITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME THANK YOUUUU ELLIE AND MICHELLEEE

One of the best movies of 2023! Definitely see Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. getting Oscar nominations

I actually think this is more supposed to be the hand of Oppenheimer, who feels responsible for this su*cide :)

I watched this movie in IMAX when it came out and i loved it, always love watching your reactions!
i can tell the movie went over their heads
Yeah it’s rough, they’re just reacting to moments and words they think they should have a reaction for.
What movie doesn't? I've repeatedly stated that these 2 should never react to anything alone. They're complete air heads.
New to the channel?
Oppenheimer learned dutch in 6 weeks just so he could teach physic clesses.
Amazing movie! Amazing ladies reacting to it!

I thought they where from Strauss prespective, since he always appears on them.

Maybe leave at least a picture on the screen when muting the sound. To have no sound and no picture makes it hard to watch. Just a suggestion.

Except for the gratuitous sex, a good movie. My professor in Logic, Dr Kalal, was a WWII Manhattan veteran. I got an A+ in logic.
