    It feels incredible that we still get movies like Oppenheimer from time to time

    We are awful selfish people ;-) Yes, Oppenheimer made the first practical analysis of potential Black holes. Dr Goedel, briefly in the Einstein scene ... was a mathematician that triggered the development of the computer, by Alan Turing et al. The clicking is the first nuclear reactor.

      I thought it was awful. Christopher Nolan would try to make getting your mail the most suspenseful thing ever. The constant endless background music was ridiculous.

    To be honest, even though I regard Christopher Nolan as one of my favourite, if not favourite film directors, when I first heard that Oppenheimer was his next film, I was a bit skeptical. Oppenheimer is a drama/biography is a genre Nolan has not tackled before. So I was not sure how this one would come out, and was cautious to jump on the hype of the Barbenheimer craze.

    Loved your reaction as always. You should watch society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing

    Society of the Snow (which you still totally need to make a reaction for - bring tissues and blankets) was better. Again, not a bad movie, but so surprised by, along with everyone who has seen the movie, by the lack of acknowledgment.

    It thought it was ok but should have been great; I wasn’t interested in the court room pts, only the science pts. I do want to rewatch it someday

    • @kevinl8440
      @kevinl8440 8 месяцев назад +3

      I thought it was bad. The constant endless background music was annoying (trying to make non-suspenseful dialog suspenseful). And why did a court room drama need to be IMAX???? So i can see everyone's pores?

    • @ahangautam8471
      @ahangautam8471 8 месяцев назад +2

      Well, it was not about science. It was about Oppenheimer's whole life. That is why it is named Oppenheimer amd not "The Atomic Bomb".

      @@kevinl8440 Especially the music keeps me remembering the movie and specific scenes of it. Göransson did such an amazing job, and so did Nolan, of course!
