i remember the entire theater gasps at the reveal! i love how every once in a while, a new generation of audiences get to enjoy this movie for the first time
My wife ruined the movie for me when she said, before the end, he is dead.
@@Rick-or2kq LOL
It's a very interesting and rather mystical film. I loved some of the moments from that movie, which is when Malcolm Crowe wears the same shirt he was killed in. Cole says he "sees dead people." Malcolm Crowe can't open the door. The scene in the restaurant and the relationship with his wife and Malcolm's wedding ring. The mystery that we, as viewers, have to solve, this moment, aroused my special interest in the film. The tension lasts until the very end. The most interesting moment was the sound of mysterious, mystical, slightly frightening, but beautiful music. It fits perfectly with the overall idea of the film. And of course, I can't help but pay attention to the details that are thought out to the smallest detail. The figurines in Cole's makeshift hut, the toy in Kira's house - all this makes the film more complete. • The image of Cole's mother. A young woman after a divorce drags her son alone, and then there are endless behavior problems and some oddities. But how she fights for her child. The famous final twist. It was borrowed from the children's TV show, the episode "The Story of the Girl from Dreams" of the series "Are you afraid of the dark?". During the course of the film, it becomes clear that the whole hidden meaning of the film lies in the therapeutic concept. The film shows a positive scenario for the development of relations between a host mother and her special child (with the help of a competent specialist). Disturbing fantasy-visions of a child get goal setting: Cole realizes that ghosts need help. Meeting with "ghosts" helps a child to gain maturity: he overcomes fears and gradually heals, becoming a part of the collective and society. The relationship of the main characters is dosed intertwined with the breath of the world of the dead. I loved the way the dialogues are built in this movie. Skillful dialogues. They give way to suspense and short but chilling episodes.
🦊The ending was very unexpected. Thanks to Michelle & Ketty for the amazing reaction to this dramatic, psychological and mystical movie!🦊
I love how everyone goes from disliking the wife to being so empathetic and sad for her in a matter of seconds.
Possibly one of the greatest reveals in the history of movies. The writing in this movie is impeccable
All that time, Cole knew he was seeing another ghost...but by pure coincidence, he met the one ghost whose last purpose in life was to help children. Nothing could have hurt Malcolm more than knowing that he'd failed a kid in need, and left his wife suffering alone...so he hung on to existing. Malcolm helps Cole, while teaching Cole how to help Malcolm. So beautiful it almost hurts to watch, even after decades. One of the greatest films ever made.
Probably the best plot twist in movie history, you guys aren’t alone in not picking it up, not by a long long way! Also don’t ask yourself why are you crying, it means the movie is doing its job, evoking emotions, never question your emotions, love that Michelle was knocked back a bit by the ending too, she’s usually pretty clued in, but like the beginning of my comment said…😉
3:42, Ketty " OK, he's alive"
All of us, " Oh no he's not!"
But back then it was probably a lot of people’s reaction until we see he wasnt. But its fun watching reactors 😂
never seen Michelle so emotional.
the females reaction to Cole and his mother in the car is so strong. every time.
You're crying because you have a heart. Great reaction to a great movie.
Notice the color red in symbolism in this film. The red sweater, the red door knob, the red balloon, etc...the color red symbolizes our strongest emotions and warns of imminent danger. When it appears in the film it is preparing us that something exciting is about to happen. The common phrase, 'it raises a red flag'.
My favorite is the red on the tape recorder, covering more and more of the numbers and Malcolm turns the volume up...
I love when people just let a film wash over them and take it in, instead of trying to figure it out.
Your reaction was perfect.
This movie needs to come with a Kleenex warning.
"I'm not crying, you're crying."
Director M Night Shyamalan , who makes cameos, here briefly as the medical doctor of Cole in the middle of the movie ,
referenced the fact that the mom ( not stepmom) of the dead girl had a condition
' Munchausen syndrome by proxy'
Clever usage of that fact...
In my opinion, this is the greatest plot twist in cinematic history! People's reactions to it are the main reason I like to watch these videos.
The kid, Haley Joel Osment, was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in this.
Yes Cole was afraid of Malcolm at first; but the main reason he suddenly didn’t want to speak that day was because his MOM was just in the next room making dinner. He didn’t want her to start wondering who he is talking to
That was an amazing ending for you two lovely ladies. The fact that it didn't dawn upon you until the very end! Wow! I was shocked. These actors directed by M. Night was perfect. Excellent reaction ladies. I can't express how wonderful you two are and this film was fabulous. Thank you! Well done. ~ Robert in California 😎
In the scene at their restaurant, it appeared that she looked up at him occasionally. She was actually reacting to the happy people behind him because she was so lonely.
1. Haley Joel Osment played Forrestt Gump Jr, in "AI", Pay it forward" and absolutely kills in this.🤩
2. I first knew when he met his wife when she was morning him alone at the anniversary meal. Only one place setting.
3. I watched my now ex to see when she got it but she never picked it up until the reveal.
4. They help each other.
5. Cole knew he wouldn't see Malcolm again.
6. Cole to Malcolm, "How can you help me, if you don't believe me?" "Some magic's real".
7. A fun movie for review of a Bruce Willis is, "The Last Boy Scout". HINT HINT
8. Missing you Bruce.😢
The young actor who played Cole you might recognize if you have seen the movie Forrest Gump. He played Jenny's son. The actor that played Vincent was Marky Mark aka Mark Walburg .
You are incorrect, it's his brother Donnie Wahlberg
@SandyPlank-v6t Oops yes I did know that at one time. Thank you for correcting my error.
I saw this in the cinema and did not figure out it before it was revealed. People leaving the cinema didn't figure it out either. Much later, suddenly everyone claims they knew what was going on from early on.
I guess you could say they had a seventh sense. The sense of BS.
Thanks for the beautiful reaction.
I was taking a girl on our first date to see this movie. While in college. I went on the recommendation of my buddy. He was like, "dude, go see the sixth sense. It's awesome. He's dead the whole time." I was like, OK that sounds pretty good. I was 5 minutes into the movie, and was like you idiot. Why would you tell me that? She enjoyed it very much, I mad sure not to spoil it.
I knew there was a twist going in, but still didn't figure it out. I got caught up in it and wasn't looking for anything.
@@timlois Well timlois, that would have been a good enough reason for me to end that friendship. Few things I hate more than spoilers.
@@dogawful Good, you enjoyed it more. Just a shame you knew there was a twist to begin with.
16:10 "I hope the kids nowadays aren't like this anymore."
Human nature hasn't changed in a long time. Bullying _styles_ change, but the bullying always continues.
We ALL had that reaction to the twist the first time we watched. Genius
The mother who was keeping her daughter sick was doing it for the attention she got from having a sick child. I don't think it has anything to do with her feelings of the child. Although reasonably one would assume her feelings are on vacation in general save her id.
Man Ketty got destroyed! Haha. Just became a member for this reaction, good job.
24:10 No. I took it as the kid found his dad's gun and was playing with it and accidentally shot himself.
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001-IMDb 7,2) The same young actor from: The 6th Sense
Pay It Forward (2000-IMDb 7,2) with H. J. Osment
The only other movie I can think of that had a twist that shocked me as much as this one is "The Crying Game" - another great movie.
Ooo... I took a girl to it on a date, and just as we started making out.... BOOM! There it was ten feet long on the Big screen!
6:25 - Watch that scene again. It's "creepy" because of how fast it happened. The mom just went into the laundry room for a second and when she came back every single cabinet door and drawer was opened. How did that happen without a single sound, in a matter of seconds? Also, from a filmmaking standpoint, I think that's an awesome practical effect because the camera didn't cut at all, it followed the mom to show you that that happened in "real time". I still don't know how they achieved that.
Mich is such a sweet soul.❤
Amazing that after 26 years people don't know the ending....
Out of respect for the art. If it were a film that was not as well crafted, people would spill the tricks...
One of my favorite films of all time. So fun watching you two discover it.
2 more good movies you MUST see are 'Jacob's Ladder' (psychological horror) and 'ALIVE', (true story of survivors of a plane crash in the Andes mountains!) Both 90s movies! EPIC! Xxx
This is such a good movie and recently watched this one for the first time with you girl’s last year, can’t wait to watch your reaction to this one!!❤❤
This movie hurts alot more knowing that Bruce Willis is now retired
Great reaction ladies. My all time favourite movie. I will definitely watch your reaction again.
Great ending. Definitely top 5.
You must really love this movie. This is your third reaction to it. 😂
welcome to the M Knight Shyamalan twist. he plays the doctor in this movie.
The ending has a twist that you never saw it coming. 😯😧😮
no psychaiatrist tucks you in at night
red is a big marker for things in the movie if you go back and watch it again you'll see how it crops up in major events also the mom was keeping the girl sick because she liked the attention from all those people and was starting to make the little sister sick to keep it going
One of you ALREADY SAW IT Illkeep the secret😅
I thought so too, but it turns out that last time was just Ellie, Lia, and Viki. Originally, it was Ellie with Larry coming in halfway because she got scared. 😱
To answer your girls questions about whether it’s “door knob” or “door handle” I think it more depends on the person but I believe the technical term is door knob, but still either works :)
I think it is more properly a door handle when it is shaped like a bar, but it is probably a regional thing.
It’s easy to tell the difference, a door knob is turned, a door handle is grabbed.
@ So you don't grab a door knob?
@@Mark-t9z technically you need to grab and turn both of them, but the way you grab and turn them differs slightly
Wow, out of all the reactions I've seen, you're the first person to recognize Mischa Barton.
You gals need to react to
HELLRAISER (1987). Stat!
Listen to the song My Immortal
Wow. Now this is how you do a reaction. Thank you!
This is like a favorite movie. You're just going to be taking over the script the whole time. No thanks.
it's called Munchausen By Proxy
Again you two picked a great movie and as always a great reaction
I'll always watch a reaction to this movie. As it's punch line floors every one.
Back when Shyamalan was hailed as "the next Spielberg"
Yeah, little did we know it was all downhill from here. Unbreakable was good, Signs was ok. Split is ok. The other films..... yeah
He also played the doctor that Mom talked to in one scene.
whenever women reactors see this film
they always assume the woman who poisons the daughter is a step mom
the movie never says it's a step mom
Great video.
Munchausen by proxy - that’s the term for keeping someone sick, so you get all the sympathy attention
A great one!!!
Swear this channel has reacted to the same movies at least 3 times each lol
🎬🥺😔
Awesome video
Spoiler: One reason not to go to the theatre It was packed, I think the weekend it opened. So, we being watching this movie. Someone shouts 'Bruce Willis is a ghost.' or something like that.
I can't tell if they liked it or not because they said almost nothing right after watching it. I guess they didn't like it very much.
Is Larry not part of Homies anymore? 😢
Pop tarts are gross. You're okay.
At least I can watch you here, Michelle. ♥
Who is Ketty? Your daughter or sister?
Pop-Tarts are not very good, if you have them you must heat them in a toaster first.
