If there's an oil leak coming from the oil filter housing area, it could be the oil cooler lines, or could be the oil thermostat and associated spring, seal and snap ring. The oil filter thermostat seal kit is very inexpensive, but you need to compress the spring using a C-clamp (or remove the filter adapter from the car, and use a table vice to compress the spring).

pop clutch comes in handy, i drove all summer long in high school popping clutch , me and my buddies kept that vw bug going all summer bad starter.
