So U think GOD is that sadistic (its even an understatement) to punish the unsaved for all eternity without end with such a horrific & unprecented kind of torture? The Bible itself suggest that only few of humans that have ever existed in planet earth (meaning even dating back to Adam ,& Eve) will be saved. What does that tell us? That majority of all mankind since the first human beings that walked the earth, are hell-bound. Anybody can go to hell. Your father or mother, your siblings, your wife or husband, your sons or daughters, your best friends, anybody that you love. Do U imagine that some of them will be tormented endlessly in hell? That's the problem with some people - they oversimplify such a sensitive topic/matter without really realising how horrific the theory that they want to believe.

When the Adventists and the JW's go to a funeral, they only see a dead body and they say, that is all there was. They are like the carnal Atheists who believe and say the same thing. . Like rich man's brothers (Luke 16:19-31) , they only saw their brother's dead body and knew not that he was judged immediately after his death, and his soul went to Hades and was tormented "in this flame" . The Adventist's deny Christ very words and teach the exact opposite of Christ. Moreover, they have made it their mission to tell the whole world they won't be judged immediately after death and the wicked have nothing to fear nor the righteous to have no reward.
The Adventists do the same carnal reasoning with the scriptures regarding Sodom and Gomorrah, they say, "see, they just died" and went to soul sleep. They say were not punished afterwards, exactly like the Atheists and the carnal minded, who only see with their fleshly minds and not as Christ who is God sees it and taught it.
The Adventists and the cults seize upon every place in the Old Testament where the destruction of the wicked is promised on a physical level and then say it mean annihilation, just as the rich man's brothers did not know of the torment of the wicked themselves. In this respect, they are just like the Atheists.
While every reader of the Old Testament scripture and prophet who wrote them were NOT annihilationist at all. Just as the author did not believe in annihilation of the wicked so the reader did not as well. They knew that when God had destroyed the wicked in the flood or Sodom and Gomorrah, God had intervened in human affairs to send those wicked directly to hades to be tormented because there was not so much as to be an allotted time to repent. This is thoroughly and explicitly shown in the teaching of Christ that "Moses and the Prophets" (that includes every verse of the entire Old Testament) had taught the torment of the wicked immediately after the death of body. And this is not concealed at all in the Old Testament. *Therefore, all those who use the Old Testament scriptures to support conditional immortality are condemned by Christ.* Because Christ taught the Old Testament taught the exact opposite of conditional immortality.
Isaiah 34:9-11 is no different which parallel to Rev.14:9-11. In both cases the scripture proclaims the torment of the wicked, and picture which is painted is that of unending torment. And, like the carnal flesh which only sees with is fleshly eyes, it does not have the mind of God to see with HIS eyes, even though he is told. And, therefore, he cannot see nor understand the scripture. So, it was with the story of the rich man and his brothers, who knew not that his brother was being "tormented in this flame" . So, the rich man wanted to send someone back to his brothers to warn them. But what says the scripture, "THEY HAVE MOSES AND THE PROPHETS TO WARN THEM, LET THEM HEAR THEM" but, like the Adventists, they don't not believe either! So then, the scripture says as if speaking of the Adventist, "NEITHER WOULD THEY BELIEVE THAT IF ONE CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD TO WARN THEM" . And so it is with the carnal and stubborn foolhardy Adventists under their false prophet.
Nonetheless, In Luke 16:16-31 Christ makes it very plain that NOT ONE SCRIPTURE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT REMOTELY TEACHES THE NON-EXISTENCE OF THE SOUL OR SOUL SLEEP FOR THE WICKED BUT TORMENT DAY AND NIGHT.
Likewise, the carnal minded Adventist seize upon every place where the destruction of the wicked off the earth is spoken of when it speaks of the person's body and not their soul. Yet every reader of the Old Testament truly understood that that was not the end of the punishment for the wicked and that their soul continued to be punished. But, the fleshly minded Adventists only see what is visible to them and not believing God or Christ about the torment of the soul of the wicked immediately after death as Christ and the Apostles taught. The Adventists, the Atheists and the JW's are just like the Atheists and the rich man's 5 brothers of Luke 16:19-31!!
They ONLY saw that he was physically dead and knew NOTHING of his UNSEEN TORMENT IN THE FLAME. Therefore, like the carnal minded The Adventists, the Atheists and the JW's refuse to hear Christ's words about the unseen torment of the rich man in Hades. Because they can only see with the flesh even when Christ warns them of what will happen to them also after death. The Adventists, the Atheists and the JW's refuse to believe. Thus, Christ answer them, "Neither would they believe even if someone came from the dead to warn them. And so it is with these fools.
In Revelation 14:9-11, we are told that anyone who worships the beast and receives his mark “will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever. "The Adventists, the Atheists and the JW's and all the wicked preach that no one will suffer* *torment forever and ever* A complete denial of the teachings of Christ and the Apostles. And they do so because they have been taught that the true Christ is "Satan" , while it is Satan himself, that leads them to deny the explicit words of scripture. And, because they disbelieve the scripture, they FIGHT against Christ and his Church, as an agent of the Wicked One.
And what do you suppose the beast is telling the wicked who worships them? That if they do, they will be tormented forever and ever? Who would then follow them? The Adventists, the Atheists and the JW's will believe the beast when He tells them there is no HELL AND NO TORMENT, THEY ALREADY HAVE BELIEVED AND FOLLOWED THAT GREAT FALSE TEACHING. Then what do The Adventists, the Atheists and the JW's and the wicked do? They call Christ "Satan, a Monster, a Tyrant" because they have been taught by a false prophet to hate the just and righteous punishments of Christ upon the wicked.
The carnal mind only sees what is fleshly and not as Christ and the Church taught. Adventism is fully carnal. When they see the wicked die, they only see the death of the body and not the torment of the soul. This is exactly what happened to the rich man in Luke 16:19-31. Any 3rd grader can read the story and see the end of the matter, but not an Adventists, because they have been WILFULLY blinded by their carnal mind and Ellen G. White. Like Sodom and Gomorrah, the people in Edom are still burning and in torment. That is what Christ, and the Apostles taught. The Adventists are so carnal you can only see what is earthly. You are fully prepared to go to hell yourselves for corrupting the gospel of Christ and the Apostles and charming the wicked. You all have sent all your followers to hell and many more millions who did not repent with your Atheistic gospel of soul sleep and annihilationism. Get ready, because except you repent, you will find yourself there shortly.
Why do the Adventists and their like, so despise the eternal punishment? Because they know they are evil and rather than repent of their evil, they find it much easier to deny the explicit teachings of Christ and Christ Himself, than to repent. A righteous man does not fear the just punishments of God.
One day, the Adventist will be like the rich man in Luke 16 wishing you could send someone back from the dead to warn your brothers “Lest they come to this place of torment” where they are!! It’s happened MILLIONS of times already to Adventists!

The Protestants who rebel and have fallen away as those spoken of in 2Thess. 2, have stumbled at the Stumbling stone because you all have refused Christ who named Simon, "Peter" meaning Rock and Gave Him the power to bind and loosen on earth in Christ's visible absence. It is not the Pope you reject, it is Christ. . John 13:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, *He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me;* and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. Thus it is written: 1John 4:6 (KJV) 6 *We are of God:* he that knoweth God *heareth US;* *he that is NOT OF GOD HEARETH NOT US.* *Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.* THAT'S HOW YOU KNOW PEOPLE ARE A HERETIC, IF THEY REFUSE TO HEAR THE CHURCH.
1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: *but unto them which be disobedient,* the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 *And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.*
Many a Protestant has gone to hell preferring to read the bible rather than obeying the Church as Christ commanded. *When the Bible itself commands you to obey the Church.* You all might as well be Mormon or Adventist.
What idiocy is it that fool who would use sacred scripture to as tool to justify their rebellion against the Church Christ Himself Instituted. But, the Protestants have done that very thing

@@augustcarvalho2162 I think this applies to you. When you read about eternal or everlasting fire, you use your own understanding instead of allowing the Bible to explain itself. The Bible explains eternal fire as what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah (Jude 1:7). If we go by your understanding of eternal fire, then Sodom and Gomorrah will still be burning today. However, the Bible shows that eternal fire means fire that has eternal or everlasting consequences, since these cities have been destroyed forever and can never be rebuilt. There are two options, you either PERISH OR have ETERNAL LIFE (John 3:16). To say people will live in hell forever means they will also have eternal life (albeit in hell). God will destroy both body and soul in hell (Matt 10:28). Study this a bit further please. It is not as simple as you think. May God be with you.

Matthew 25:31-36 says, "Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you cursed. . . And these will go away into ETERNAL punishment, but the righteous into ETERNAL life.”
Revelation 14:9-11 says, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath...and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have NO REST, day or night." If they were annihilated out of existence, then the statement no rest day or night makes no sense.
Revelation 20:10 says, "And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be TORMENTED day and night FOREVER and ever. . .Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if ANYONE"S name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." By the way, the word torment is translated from the Greek word Basanismos, and it means to torture. It absolutely does NOT mean to annihilate and put out of existence.
Luke 16:22-24 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.” Notice the rich man is NOT annihilated but rather in torment in flames. He can feel pain, he can see, he can have a rational conversation. How does this in any metaphorical sense point to annihilation?

Thank you very much. I am getting closer to my answers that I am searching for but not there yet. Will have to continoue my search.
We were created with the capacity to sin. This resulted as it had to in sin. This means that death had to be preplanned which also would mean that god was willing to sacrifice some/many of his creation. A question one could ask is if god was surprised by how many would succomb to sin which then could place a question if he really knew what the end would be at creation or if that only came along slowly afterwards.
Even today there is so much perfection to be seen resulting from the creation. It is hard to believe that the creator of this could be suprised by anything.
But that again opens the question of how much of his creation was he willing to loose to the evil side and ultimately to destruction.
If this is a big portion I start having a problem with love, as I know the future and still am willing to create humans in a way where I would loose so many and would have lost all if not the intervention of Jesus would have happened.
Is there any good literature that helps bring this in perspective?

@@tayloreschberger9328 yea that's what every main stream christian states. So did I for so long. Maybe right before he died he got saved. Right? What happens when I go to heaven and he's not there? Is God going to wipe away all my tears? How's He going to do that. Lobotomize me? I don't want to forget my son. I don't mean to sound cold, but I've studied the bible for over 30 years and allot of gnawing questions I have had never got answered. This guy sounds like the rest of them. Yes, he has a different concept on hell but annihilation was not the answer I was looking for. Still doesn't make sense. I think universal restoration answered more of all the questions I've had over the years than any other christian view point. Allot of scripture proves that. I started studying UR about 6 months ago, who knows maybe God himself was trying to point me in that direction because He knew what I would be facing. I'm still angry with Him to take away my sons life so soon. I know He didn't kill him but my prayers as usual are never answered. Or maybe I'm just not seeing it yet. Why did He pick me to test? I have both my sons dogs living with me now. He loved them so much. He has one brother who is devastated. Lost his father 8 years ago now his only brother. What kind of God allows this to happen. Yes, I know, we don't know the answers. Not yet. But the pain is unbearable. Thank you for loving me even though you don't know me. God knows me and you showed more love than He has. I wish He would let me know why. Sorry, just letting out my hurt. I still love God even though right now I'm very disappointed. I wish I had the same faith and strength as some of the believers the bible speaks about. Thanks for your kind words though.

So in the afterlife he goes to hell & will be tormented there forever without end. Remember, we are just talking here of an averaged sinner. We aren't talking here of the Adolf Hitlers, the Joe Stalins, the Saddam Husseins or the Pol Pots. How can an averaged sinner get that kind of punishment so horrible & with no end? It simply defies the very basic logic & rationale.

Another example of how incoherent the Evangelical understanding of Hell is is found in Matthew 5:29-30. It is better for one of your members to perish than for your whole body to be cast into Hell.” Evangelicals teach that it is the soul, or psyche in the Greek, that goes to Hell immediately after death. But Jesus says that it is the body, or soma in the Greek, that goes to Hell. Which is it? Because you can visit the grave of many infidels and find their bodies if you are inclined to dig them up. And for the pain associated with burning to occur, means that the heat is literally damaging literal nerve endings. If the physical matter responsible for the physical pain is not actually being consumed, there is no mechanism by which the physical pain can occur, or for there to be any smoke to go up forever and ever.

One more thing. As for the story of the rich man and Lazarus, consider this made up story from WW2. A column of Sherman tanks was ambushed in France and one of them was hit by a Panzerfaust rocket propelled grenade. The tank immediately caught fire and only the tank commander was able to exit the tank, though his body was wrapped in flame - leaving him screaming in agony. However, he spotted an infantryman. With a coherent voice, he commanded the infantryman to dip the tip of his finger into his canteen and place a drop of water on his tongue, which the infantryman did. Instantly, the tank commander felt relief from his pain and he was able to make a full recovery back at the field hospital. This is essentially what Evangelicals have to accept as plausible if they want to interpret the Rich Man and Lazarus story literally. What good would a drop of water on the tongue do for a person whose body is wrapped in flames - and that, molten earth?

To share with you another clue about this subject, we need to read Romans 6:23 where Paul the Apostle says...."For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." This seems a great opportunity for Paul to say "The wages of sin is eternal punishment in hell,"....but He does not say this does he? Also, if a person is going to receive eternal life as a gift from God through Christ Jesus, wouldn't it be feasible that a person suffering in hell for all eternity would have to be given eternal life also? Eternal suffering in hell came about through the medieval church accepting the Greek philosophy that we have an immortal soul and that soul is tormented in hell shortly after death. But the bible says nothing of mankind having an immortal soul whatsoever. So, according to Paul's message here, God gives a repentant person eternal life through Christ Jesus as an eternal gift and an unrepentant sinner will not receive the gift of eternal life, but only death awaits him. According to Paul, all a sinful person would have is eternal death because he does not have the gift of eternal life given to us through Jesus. And if a person receives the gift of eternal life through Christ....Then he would not be in hell whatsoever! Any comment on this?

Or you’ll be the one saying it’s not fair when sinners are forgiven. The sinners who were never religious on earth but walked in love will be confused to find out they are sheep. The religious hypocrites who condemned sinners will be confused to find out they aren’t. Notice how the sheep do not say “minister” but the goats say “minister.” The sheep actually fed the hungry & visited the sick & imprisoned while the goats only “ministered” to them.

I like your approach and the exposing of the error of eternal conscious torment doctrine. You are just a short step away from universal reconciliation theology. I think the bible is clear that all are children (offspring) of God and in Him we live and move and have our being. It also indicates that at some point every tongue will gladly and voluntarily confess Jesus Christ as Lord to the glory of the Father. According to Paul's writings, this results in salvation.
You may or may not arrive at that conclusion but there are a question or two that you may want to address for your followers.
One is, who are the wicked that you suggest will be terminated and burnt up? For example; one who lived a pure life, visiting the prisoners, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, but had incorrect theology and failed to "accept Jesus as Savior". Would their fate be the same as Hitler for example?
And, explain how Paul's example of fire burning up wood and hay and bringing the gold and silver through the fire unharmed. Both these conditions are in reference to one individual that has both wood and gold in their life.
FYI next time you read through the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, consider Judah who has the royal scepter and also has 5 brothers, and Lazarus whose name in Hebrew, is a form of Eliezer, who was the Gentile servant of Abram. It is an interesting story and those representative characters add some depth to your presentation of it.
    Have a great day.

Isaiah says God created the Waster, and the destroyer to destroy. God was not taken by surprise, yet went ahead anyway. God wants to be known; there is a purpose for everything including evil. Judgment also means correction. In that day, God is a refining fire. 1 Cor 15 says that all in Adam bringing death, will also be made alive. The context is not verse 1. Those folks saved by faith are already alive. They stand now, and are seated now in heavenly places ephesians and colossians. In the end they believe by sight as did Thomas and Paul; all will bow to glory of God and they will not be forced.
God will wash away the filth, the dross, they will be melted, Is ch 4, Ezekiel 22. In Is ch 33 there are everlasting burnings and devouring fire. So, yes the results are permanent. In proverbs God tries the hearts like silver in a fire, the impurities removed. Therefore no one is eliminated. A grand beautiful reunion is coming for the whole earth. Mothers no longer have to worry about their sons and daughters.

NO!; there is no choice after death or before; our body deteriorates in the grave and our spirit goes to Heaven. That's it! When you finally believe that there is no hell doesn't mean you have to start believing annihilation! ... because annihilation is also false.

So what about the Rich man and Lazarus. Luke 16:19-21… where Jesus says the man was in hell tormented in agony and fire and asked Father Abraham to allow Lazarus to come and dip cool water on his tongue. Why would Jesus refer to hell in this way if there is not a current place of hell or it’s not for eternity.

The book of Revelations is full of symbols and imagery don't take everything literally. Fire and burning are used to give us the idea that hell is not a place you want to be. Hell is a place where there is no presence of god. Every good thing we have comes from God. Hell will have nothing. Repent now there will be no second chance.

Your god not the God of the Bible. Final destruction is what is promised. Eternal life is only for the righteous in Christ. Nahum 1 vs 9. KJV Isaiah 33:14-15
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
      15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
For one to be kept alive eternally would mean that God gave them immortality.

Its a spiritual fire in the center of the earth. So Jesus wasn't being honest about the rich man and Lazarus. After judgemant l thoughs not born again are thrown into the into lake of fire. There souls are thrown into lake of fire. Hell is in the center of the earth. You teach from a cult. Not biblical. Hope you find Jesus. Sounds like universalism.
