The thought of eternal hell messed me up for a long time that it turned me away from god, it didn’t bring me closer to him, I did a lot of research and the more people preached about an eternal hell the more I rejected it, the idea and god. I couldn’t fathom knowing that my loved ones would be suffering for all eternity for a life’s worth of sins, including myself. It was so repugnant to me that I completely lost my faith in god to the point I didn’t believe a god existed so you can say I became an atheist, still living in sin more than ever actually I gave in to all sorts of sin. The idea of hell didn’t bring me to god, god brought me to him! How amazing is he ? He calls on everyone but are you willing to hear his calling in your whole being ? Don’t let the lies fool you, how many lies have we been taught that we actually believe are true ? Think back to your religion...... god is good in every sense of the word, if we “sinners” have the ability to love our children how much more can a perfect righteous loving god love you? Let’s use our common sense and let the holy spirit really speak to us when we read the Bible, and to the people who believe in an eternal hell, do you really ?
Hi Lilia, thank you for sharing about your testimony of how God brought you to him. We do not believe in eternally burning hell. Please read this: www.amazingfacts.org/media-library/book/e/30/t/hell-fire--a-twisted-truth-untangled May God bless you.
Hi Lilia, I believe in eternal hell, because God is eternal, saved people will go to heaven eternally, people died in sin will also end up in hell eternally, this is JUST. Do not forget: God is HOLY and JUST, this is why He is GOOD. This is why we LOVE Him and also FEAR Him at the same time.
Lilia , you said that you couldn’t fathom that people will suffer for all eternity for a life’s worth of sins. I understand what you’re saying. It seems that the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. Let me help you with this. The amount of time that a sinner sins is irrelevant. I can murder someone. It may take me only a moment to shoot and kill someone. If I stand before a judge and get LIFE in prison I can’t stand before the judge and say..... but I only broke the law for ten seconds!! Why am I being sentenced to life??. You see Lilia, it doesn’t matter how long a person sins. You can relax and believe that God is just and fair. God is the ultimate judge and He’s a loving judge but He’s also HOLY. He’s perfectly HOLY and our sin is rebellion against an eternal HOLY God. Also, it’s not like people in Hell stop sinning. They continue to hate God and sin against Him. The punishment never catches up to the crime. Hope that helped...
I told a friend of mine who's a Christian that I didn't believe that hell exist. He got a little upset and said"if hell doesn't exist then why am I going to church". So the only reason he's going to church is out of fear of hell. But God has not given us the spirit of fear. This is why I don't believe in eternal everlasting punishing.
Actually, Jesus himself stated very clearly, FEARING GOD and his ability to eternally destroy someone in hell, is a VERY VERY VERY good reason to repent, and turn to God. Very valid reason, and the fact he believes the Bible in what it says, proves he is faithful, regardless of what brought him to that conclusion. Fear of hell is WISE.

Thanks for this video. I grew up thinking God tortured people and it really hurt my relationship with God. I just found it deranged that we don't ask to be born but, yet because we were born we are destined all to be tortured endlessly and he is suppose to be a just and loving God.
I'm sorry you were taught a lie. God is loving and merciful. But, He is still a just God. When He says that the wages for man's sin is DEATH, He means it. That is why it is so important to tell others what Jesus did for us. He took our punishment of Death for us, and now we don't ever have to die. We can live forever. Tell everyone about Jesus and how his dying on the cross keeps them from death.
I'm very sorry that you have been misled and have been wrongly taught about the hell fire. We praise that this video set you free from those wrong teachings. We pray that you grow in God's love.
@@HL365 I've actually since ministerd to my friends about conditional immortality and I've actually made a number of converts. The view doesn't tk mental gymnastics when the language of death is actually death. It just makes more sense
@@HL365 I was also misled about hellfire. Then I’ve done my research and I have found god to be loving and never torture anyone otherwise he’d be the worstest being ever. But god told me that hell is not what I think it is and I told him really. So the church was lying to me. He said yes. He said that the church is teaching pagan lies to scare people out of his name. So I did my research and I was surprised of what I found. My family members still believe in hell but I don’t. I’m not going to waste my time with them. Because the facts are that Jesus never taught hellfire at all. Hellfire is just Greek and pagan mythology that got written and mixed with gods original word. I can’t believe my family members want people who don’t believe in god to be burned by hellfire which is so unchristian and it’s not what Christ wanted at all. They still believe in that Greek and pagan lie that if they did their research they would realize god would be looked on as a tyrannical dictator but he’s not. The pagan Catholic Church really taught this lie so hard. I hope god will prove that hell is not what we once thought it was. Too bad the original copies are lost and we will never know what was in it. God telling me hell is a state of non existence rather than a lake of fire made me love him more than anyone and anything else. Than god told me not to waste my time with my family members he told me to let them be deceived by the church. And I told him ok and so I decided to come back to god.
That because to think God tortures the wicked in hel🎉makes you ignorant of God and his personality. He would never even think to torture his creation. It goes against his nature. Only a fool would believe that God is a monster that hurts his creation in any way.
This is powerful. I have not heard this doctrine and pray that it is true. I think its true. I have friends and family members that are not saved and at least their pain will only be for a limited time and not forever.
Hi, you can believe with certainty that it is true because that is what the scripture teaches. It is sad that you have friends and family members do not know God and are not saved. But this should motivate us to reach out to them and share the saving knowledge of God to them.
Everything is so well put.Except for the fact that WE ALL SHUD FEEL AT EASE THAT HELL IS SHORT N SWEET. I think that is the most dangerous statement I have ever heard. the amount of wicked people on this earth are just gona get a free pass. Sorry but I Pray that is not the Case
I agree with you. Also, even if the fire lasted forever, or "eternally" as some believe, that doesn't mean that the people IN the fire lived eternally or forever. It simply means the FIRE was eternal.
Fire is being used to illustrate the complete destruction of anything put into it. People can understand that. It's ment to be applied as an illustration to show eternal death. It's not a literal place as so many people believe. The churches have taught them that. They have not been taught the truth because I believe they don't even know what God true purpose even is. Don't expect them to teach you to something they don't even know themselves. That's my opinion. Believe what you want. I'll stick to learning the Truth about God on my own. It's far better than being taught by the opinion of men who don't know what the purpose of God even is. That my opinion. I don't expect you to believe what I say. Study and learn and make your own conclusions. The world is not the place where God is treated as having any influence in our day to day lives. That's about to change and will be completely unexpected by the people of this generation. Nothing we think is going to stop what God has planned for the inhabitants of the earth. It's Incredible to me that so many people are so far from having any knowledge about his plans and don't even think it's possible to be the truth. They are making a hugh miscalculation of the Truth about God and his purpose. Soon all this chatter about what they think will be over. Man's opinions are worthless compared to what God thinks and has planned for his human creation. What a relief to be living in the Truth of his purpose. I'm tired of hearing man's interpretations. They are meaningless to anyone who's looking for what God has planned.
Fire destroys anything put into it. That's a perfect illustration of complete destruction for anyone judged as unworthy to live under the Kingdom rulership of Jesus Christ in his millennial rein over the earth. Being completely cut off from any possible future hope of life is the worst possible position you can ever be in. Thats why it's a permanent judgement that is easily understood by anyone who thinks logically about it. We'll soon see exactly what it means once God installs his Kingdom on the earth.
Thank you so much I struggled with this for over 20 years. until I discovered the truth 20 years ago, or what I believed to be the truth that is you just confirmed it in a very powerful way I am not a Seventh-Day Adventist I'm a born-again Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and my salvation lies in him and him alone. This video has made clear to me the meaning of punishment and hell. I had an idea in my mind that a soul that is cast into hell is burned into ashes and therefor no longer exists. I couldn't hold on the idea that a loving God would torture a soul for eternity. I liked the differentiation between punishing and punishment, it explains God's actions.

I will say, who are you to judge God who's judgement is perfect. But Gods word does not support that view of hell and He should be praised for his mercy and righteousness, even for dealing with evil people who deserve it.
@@jeezed2950 He is the one who GAVE us a conscience. We only have one in imitation of his own. So when you hear something stupid like burning a person for millennia, you automatically know its nonsense.
FYI- people don’t stop sinning after death. They stay in rebellion in the next life as well. All live eternally. We are all created in Gods image. He is eternal. We are eternal.
@@jeezed2950 I've heard this rationalization (who are we to judge God's perfect judgment) many times. On the surface, this sounds solid. However, I assert that it isn't actually very logical, since that is kind of the whole point! I.e., it is precisely BECAUSE we do not understand the extent of our "sins against an eternal, perfect God" that an eternal punishment is hard to defend. In other words, is it really "just" (by even God's standards) to torture someone for eternity that truly *did not even understand* what he/she had done?
In eternal hell fire. You know who else teaches the false teaching of no hell? Jehovah' witnesses. This false teacher is leading MANY TO HELL. Hes basically saying hey wicked person. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. Matthew 7:13
Thats nonsense. Hell is were everyone goes when they die. It's the grave. It's the condition of being dead. It has nothing to do with punishment or any kind of interaction with the living. To think that God is torturing his creation like an animal is beyond my comprehension to understand what kind of person would think such a thing about God. You would have to be an idiot to believe that God tortures his creation like an animal. He is far removed from even thinking such a thing.
Those of you who are believers in Jesus the Christ and Messiah. I am seeing a lot of divisiveness over Teachings and beliefs that are different from your own. We are not going to believe all the same things perfectly in line on this side of eternity. We are to search the Scriptures daily to see if things are so. In many areas you can disagree on and still make it to Heaven and love God. As long as it does not mess with core truths of God and the Lord Jesus and Salvation. We are still brothers and sisters in Christ.
It is true that there maybe some minor things we maybe in disagreement with one another yet make it to heaven. The whole point is not agreement or disagreement with one another, but with the major and clear teachings of the Bible. We need to individually and corporately align ourselves with the truths of the Bible day by day (Isaiah 8:20).

I sometimes even doubt the existence of fire in Hell. I like to think that people aren't 'burning to death' literally, but rather they experience intense emotional grievance while they're being wiped out of existence.
It is undoubtedly a horrible experience- burning in hell or intense emotional grivienece. However, the Bible teaches in Jude 7 (KJV 1900): “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them, in like manner giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

So, it is good to know that there are others who actually read and study the word of God to get the truth. I rarely find a believer in Christ who believes as I do about hell and heaven and what happens to those who die. Patty, thanks for commenting. It is amazing how God leads us to the same understanding of truth. Here is a commentary on the word "perish": Perish. Gr. apollumi, “to utterly destroy,” “to blot out,” “to vanish into nothingness.” “The wages of sin is death” (Rom. 6:23). The opposite of “everlasting life” is not everlasting misery, but eternal annihilation, everlasting death. Sin has within itself the seeds of dissolution. Death ensues, not simply because God wills it, but because the sinner chooses to separate himself from God, the source of life." Nichol, F. D. (Ed.). (1980). @@charleswilliams8248 The rich man and Lazarus is a PARABLE about the soon coming Kingdom, and should not be taken as literal truth. The rich man represents Israel (Judah in particular) and the poor man represents the Gentile Nations. It is NOT about Heaven or Hell at all. Neither of those 2 places are ever mentioned. Hades is NOT Hell. Hades is the resting place for all the dead. Jesus was telling the Jews that he would soon be turning from them (divorcing them) and pouring out his grace on another group, the Gentiles, who would accept him as their Messiah. Notice that amidst a group of parables he was teaching about the Kingdom of God that he talks "out of the blue" about "divorce" in verse 18 of the same chapter? Notice that the rich man was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. Purple is worn by kings and fine linen by the Jewish priesthood. The Jews were rich and lived in luxury while the Gentiles were poor and were not allowed in the Temple. The rich man called Abraham his Father. All Jews did this. The rich man had 5 brothers (verse 28). Judah had 5 brothers. They have Moses and the Prophets (verse 29) All the Jews had Moses and the Prophets. The great chasm represents the fact that God has blinded the Jews to the truth and they will not have their eyes opened until the "fullness of the Gentiles has come in". This will happen in the tribulation period. And the 'torment' or "agony" that the Jews are in is evident even till this day (verse 24) They have been suffering hatred ever since Jesus died and rose again. The world hates them and for no reason, where at one time the Gentiles were hated by the Jews and for no reason. The Jews did not recognize Jesus as their Messiah "even though he was raised from the dead." (verse 31) Lazarus "laid at the gate", covered in sores, and longed to eat what fell from the rich man's table and the "dogs" licked his sores. The Gentiles longed for what the Jews had with God. They were "unclean" according to the Jews, and this is what the sores represent. Jews could not even touch a Gentile! The Jews called the gentiles "dogs". Read Matthew 15:27 to hear the Canaanite woman’s reply to Jesus when he told her he was sent to the lost sheep of Israel. It was “Yes it is, Lord, even the DOGS eat the crumbs that fall from the master’s table.” The Gentiles always received the Jew’s “crumbs”. Did you know that Abraham had a servant named Eleazar that was going to inherit all that he had because he had no heir? Eleazar is Hebrew for Lazarus. The Jews KNEW exactly who Jesus was referring to in this parable. This is not a literal story because people who die do not go to Abraham's bosom, nor could all who have died fit in his chest area. If you were in a firey hell you would not ask for a 'drop' of water, you'd ask for a lake to jump into! Also, your tongue and hands would be burned off! Nowhere in scripture, except for this story, does it teach that angels carry the dead spirits to heaven. This job is reserved for God who takes us all to himself at our deaths. Psalm 49:15 "But GOD will redeem me from the dead; HE will surely take me to himself." Scripture does not contradict. You must read and study it with ALL the books together to get a true and clear teaching. This is not a literal, true story. It was a parable that Jesus told to teach a greater truth. Jesus’ parable potently symbolizes the main theme of the New Testament. It’s a prophecy of the rejection of unrepentant Israel and the coming Church Age where reconciliation with God and eternal life are made available to the whole world. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. That parable is NOT about Heaven or Hell at all and in fact never mentions either of those places.

Thank you Pastor. I've been trying to learn more about Christianity but have always felt very constricted and actually physically ill, when I think about joining a church or a Bible study group, because of the concept of an eternal hell. After listening to you I'm much more open and feel love in my heart towards the possibility of the one and only true God being the God of Christianity. I can't claim to know anything about the nature of God or of reality, but at least this brings me a step closer to learning more about this particular religion.
Another thing people dont mention is that in Revelation, Babylon the city who is personified as a woman is "tormented" and her "smoke rises forever and ever". This is the same language used for hell, but its not describing a literal person suffering, but a city being destroyed. Likewise, the beast, who is also an empire, is sent to hell for destruction. Even death and hades (which are not collections of wicked people, as the wicked are resurrected for judgement and listed separately) are destroyed in hell. In keeping with the apocalyptic genre of the entire book, Hell is clearly described as a place of metaphysical torment, and one would have to incorrectly add more to the text to claim its, in addition, physical/literal torment.

the fact that people believe that there will be an eternal hell fire burning forever and ever and ever just shows the wickedness of their heart and the deep deception that has taken place. they haven't really studied their bible and let the Holy Spirit show them the truth. I can't stand to see my love ones suffer sickness or pain on earth. not to talk of seeing them crying and burning in hell for ever and ever. If I, a wicked person can't stand the suffering of a loved one on earth. just imagine an ever loving God standing the suffering of folks for all eternity. that is not possible , cause it doesn't depict the image of God. the ideology of a burning hell for all eternity shows that God is worst than the hitler. But the bible teaches that God is ever loving. He is the kindest being you will ever met
@@kingnate9534 hello there friend. Of course, there are going to be consequences, which it to be cut off from God, gone forever off the face of the world. The person will not have the pleasure of seeing the face of Elohim and enjoy the new earth that is going to be made. I know people think that the consequences of sinning is going to hell and be burnt forever and forever. But Elohim doesn’t work that way. Let us look at some passages “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” Genesis 2:17 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 So from these passages, we see that sin causes death. That’s the punishment And we know that sin is the transgression of Elohim’s laws Adam and Eve both broke the commandments of God and therefore death came into existence, since then the world and everything in it has been dying. God saw this and he promised to rectify it and he sacrificed his son for it God promised who ever believes in his son would not perish but have eternal life This has been the reoccurring theme through out the scriptures It is the Roman Catholic Church that brought the teachings of eternal hellfire to defraud people of their possessions and control them We are suffering from the effects of sin already. Hurricanes, earthquakes, cancers, STDs, poverty, killings, hatred, greed, malnutrition, obesity, allergies, autism, forest fires outbreaks, harsh weather conditions, bad leaderships, rape, theft, deaths etc I could go on and on It was not God’s intention that we go through all these, it was sin which brought these things and it all leads to death Elohim says he would create a new world where these kinds of things as I have stated earlier as a result of sin wouldn’t exist. All we have to do is believe in Jesus and obey all his commandments Hope I was able to explain things into perspective for you Sorry for the long write up God bless
Dont compare God's justice to be parallel with our human sentiments.... Even His way is not our way , His thoughts are not the same with our thoughts.. human understanding how God decides or How he will make things according to his plan is limited ...that is why we must fear Him with trembling..not just love Him.... He says there is eternal torment so be it!!!! Let us not twist His truth with our humanistic sentiments.

I study Wednesday evenings with the local church in the small town I live near---one of the men there is so attached to the doctrine of Hell. He will not listen to certain scripture---about Hell, about "the millenium", about the dead resting in their graves. It's disturbing. He loves God. But God must teach him these.
That is what I would think as well. Unfortunately people hold on to their ideas and are unwilling to give them up. Maybe you could share this with them: www.amazingfacts.org/media-library/book/e/30/t/hell-fire--a-twisted-truth-untangled
After years of fear, I finally figured out that hell, a place of eternal torment does not exist.... that knowledge has actually brought me closer to the Father!
We praise God that you found the truth. Yes, hell is not a place but it’s an event that will happen after the millennium. If you have further questions, please email us at info@hopelives365.com and we’d be glad to talk to you more.
God bless your church with a PURE message. Free your people from the perverted fiction of Dante's "Inferno". I can't think of anything that has caused more confusion and rejection of the message we're commanded to carry. I can understand the world rejecting the LIGHT of the gospel. But when they reject what we have to say because we're trying to shove an insane false teaching down the throat...That's a different story! "Arise, shine for thy light has come. And the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee."
Wow thank you! I had been struggling with this for several weeks. I Looked at every scripture I could fine, listened to multiple pastors explaining it on RUclips and I finally feel like I understand it after having heard this. I grew up as a nondenominational Christian and my Wife an 7th Day Adventist and we had conflicting views about this (to the point where we got into a heated argument last night). I pleaded with GOD this morning on my way to work asking that he will provide understanding and I feel he had answered my prayer through this. Thank you for doing GOD’s work. Also I appreciate you backing every point you made with scripture(s). Is there anyway you can list all scripture in the description part of this video? I feel like that would be helpful to many who want to go back and reread the scriptures mentioned. God is great! Amen!
You’re welcome! Praise the Lord that He has answered your prayers in helping you understand the Biblical truth on hell. Thanks for your idea, will share it with the media team. Email us, info@hopelives365.com for a digital Bible study handout on hell with all the scriptures and explanations.

Countless people have never come to Christ because of being introduced to the news your proclaiming as a “hell’r”. And you call it “good news”? Well if that’s the good news I’ve got some really really astoundingly fantastic news. JESUS SAVES ALL!!! Hallelujah
@@kennedymichaelson50 I learned recently that the worm and constant fire that Jesus was referring to is an actual place outside of Jerusalem which was known as the valley of Gehna. The locals would keep the fires there burning constantly so they could destroy their garbage they would dump there. It's not a reference that you might apply to what many interpret as what many associate as a place of eternal punishment of the dead who are judged to that condemnation and judged as worthy of an eternal punishment. Gehna was was a garbage dump were people knew the worms were always there and the fire was always kept going to burn up their garbage. That's the truth about Jesus referring to it. The locals knew it was as Jesus said it was. Not a place of punishment. It was Jesus use of an illustration that the people who heard him understood what the illustration meant. It's not referring to a place of eternal punishment by an eternal fire to torment the wicked because of their unrighteousness. God's doesn't punish his imperfect creation. It's said in the Bible that such a thing as that wouldn't even come up to his thoughts, let alone him actually punishing any of his creation for their inherited imperfection. It's something beyond his nature. He would never do such a thing. He is said to be love as recorded at 1john 4:8 it would be an impossible thing for him to do. That's what I believe about our Creator. The doctrines of men don't compare to the incredible power and authority of the God of the universe.

Oh what a christianity that claims Jesus as lier on the Cross of Calvery. Please be aware of this Anti Christ Religion!
Sin is a sin no matter how small it is. And the wages of sin is death. A person who may just steal a candy for today might steal things of bigger value if such an opportunity presents itself.
The wages of sin is death , Jesus paid that wage with His own death, if the wages of sin was more then death (burning forever) then the wage Jesus paid for all mankind was not a full payment. Jesus had to pay the full wages of sin for our salvation. Also if we see what else gets thrown into the lake of fire in Revelation 20 " 13 The sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds. 14Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death-the lake of fire." So death and hades are cast into the lake of fire, you cant torment death and hades so I believe it is saying gone forever or destroyed as its says in 1 Corinthians 15: "26The last enemy to be destroyed is death." and Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away."
Dan I agree this comment is beautiful. Also Jesus' death wasnt specifically for us...it was to finish the transgression spoken of by Daniel 9 verse 24...it erased the need for yearly sacrifices made in the holies of holies yearly which is why the veil was rent in two.

You are calling God a liar. God isn't just love, he's Holy and just and hates as well, scripture teaches this. "Jacob I loved, bit esau I hated" God hates sin and also hates the unjust and the sinner who does not repent. The bible literally teaches this, yes God is love and he demonstrated that by sending g his son and dying the desth of the cross for sinners but make no mistake, God's wrath abides on those who reject that and love their sin. Jesus spoke more about hell than anything else, he even illustrated the rich man and the poor man and how they both died and one was comforted and the other was in agony in the flame. Folks that teach this aren't doing anyone a service but leading them astray and really it's unrepentant behavior.
@@JoshA0669Than you know that God is the one who gives repentance, so Jacob was created for the sole purpose of being tortured for all eternity like 97% of the world's population
@CappieBG instead of going off wild assumptions, use the word to make your point. You're not really saying anything, just throwing out nonsense. Is your issue with the scripture?
I have several reasons why the tree of Life proves Hell is not eternal. God clearly said 'do not eat from the tree of Life, or you will live forever.' Some people probably wonder why the tree of life was not mentioned before Adam and Eve sinned and I can see why it wasn't. Before they sinned, it would not have mattered if Adam and Eve ate from the tree of Life because if they had, it would not have affected them because they were already living forever, but the reason God kicked them out of the garden of Edan was so they wouldn't eat from it and live forever in their sins. Why would God trade eating the tree of life sinfully for an eternal suffering in a fire!

Good video, interesting the last several years I've learned so much about the false teachings in church that has been debunked and now getting closer to the the real truth.
The dead are conscious of NOTHING at all (Ecclesiastical 9:5,10), the righteous and the unrighteous are going to be resurrected and taught the truth. What they do with those truths will determine if they have everlasting life or everlasting destruction, not torment. Acts 24:15; Isaiah54:13.

Saint Isaac of Nineveh said very clearly that those who burn in hell are burnt by the fire of God's love. The idea of God creating a place specifically to place people who refuse Him does not suit His character as a loving God. This reading made so much more sense when we realize that those who follow Christ will ultimately experience God's glory as beatification, while those who reject Christ will experience it as damnation because of its all-consuming nature.

Hi Nina, from my understanding, even though they will be permanently destroyed at the end of the age, there is still a concept of those that did worse will receive a worse punishment. So there is still levels of punishment in hell for those people UNTIL they are thrown into the lake of fire, which will destroy them indefinitely. Not really like purgatory since purgatory is the person will suffer and eventually be saved, but in this case they are just punished until the end of the age and then destroyed indefinitely. Idk when exactly that would take place, if it’s now or after the final judgement, but there is a possibility that those people who have had NDE saw a vision of the punishment that people will have in the future or are currently having until the end of the age comes. I hope this helps. God bless you!
@@HL365 so you believe that Hell isn't eternal is that what you're saying 🤔 and you don't think that hell is eternal can you explain that to me why you believe that way especially when the Bible says different then what you say
@@caseyoliver4718 Hi Casey: I saw that your post a year ago did not get an answer. I have one for you if you are still interested. I have used my write-up on other sites so here goes: The Gospel is the Good News which means that we live forever. The Good News is that believers live forever and NOT that we are saved from an eternity in hell. One would have to be immortal to be in hell forever. Only believers in Christ live forever. The Good News is God has given us eternal life and this life is in his son, he who has the son has life (eternal life) and he who does not have the son does not have life. Eternal life is living forever, and that is something we did not have before having the Son. All unbelievers will not live forever because they do not have the Son. Which also means that they will not suffer forever because they are not immortal. People are not born immortal. Believing in the Son qualifies us for immortality. To believe in hell really robs Christ of what he accomplished at the cross and resurrection, Eternal Life is a gift. If everyone lives forever, where then is the Gift? A study of the Greek words in the historic grammatical usage in the New Testament will show that death, destruction, and perish all mean the same thing.....cease to exist. The majority of passages in the new testament regarding final judgment uses these terms and their meaning is fixed from the historical Greek usage. There are a few exceptions in Revelations which seem to indicate an eternal punishment but compared to the preponderance of verses that in the Greek mean death - total dissolution of ones being. The Gospel that is Good News does not include salvation from eternal torment....The Good News is that fellowship with the Son qualifies me to live forever. I can smile and be happy and thankful about that and share enthusiastically. I once believed as you do but through further study of volumes of books, not utube shorts, I have come to this happy conclusion. Also, those good human beings who have never heard of Christ will be judged by Him and it could be possible that they would be granted eternal life. In 2nd Peter it says that Christ preached the gospel to those who perished in the deluge. I don’t know the outcome for every class of people, but what I do know from doing my homework is that believers have eternal life and non-believers do not suffer in hell forever and that is strictly biblical. There may be hope for some even after they die but our job is to not know all but tell people the Good News. The wages of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord!!
The Bible tells us that the devil, the evil angels and the wicked will be burned up in hell. "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." Revelation 19:20. Jesus himself mentions in Matthew 10:28 that "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." So it is pretty clear form the Bible. Now, I also want to add that the Hell is not burning now. It is a future event. For more questions, please email us at info@hopelives365.com
The Scriptures tell us that the wicked will be destroyed, done away with, annihilated. John 3:16; 2 Thessalonians1:9; 2 Peter 3:7. Also that the dead are conscious of nothing at all, Ecclesiastes 9:5,10, that the soul dies, Ezekiel 18:4,20. Then in Romans, 6:23 it says that the wages or price paid for sinning is, just as God told Adam, death! Not torment or torture in a firey hell. Notice that those who have died are acquitted from their sins, Romans 6:7. The promise for those who have died that God chooses to remember, is a resurrection, John 5:28,29. They will be given an opportunity to really learn the truth, if they are obedient to the truth they can live forever, most on a cleansed earth, Matthew 5:5; Psalms 37:11. God is not a sadistic tyrant. Satan wants us to believe that he is though. The lake of fire is symbolic of eternal destruction, not a literal place of fire. Death and the grave are said to be thrown into the lake of fire. Can you burn death? The grave? No! But God can do away with death, Revelation 21:4, and then there will be no need for the grave. Both are done away with. As if.....thrown into the fire.....gone forever! What a loving, merciful God! Psalms 83:18!
I'm glad that more of these videos exposing the eternal torture doctrine are coming out. The hellfire doctrine most churches teach is why I don't attend church anymore. The bible obviously proves your point already but so does logic. How would eternal torture be a just punishment for this very brief period of time if a person choses against GOD.
You not attending church is on you but I promise you before the throne of the Lord Jesus Christ you will find out that hell fire is for real and the torment of it is day-and-night for ever and ever... @MJ No everlasting life is only in God if your separated from god there is no life therefore no. Hell of suffering and fire is the hell of the man not tru godbless‼
@MJ No, they are merely conscious, that doesn't mean they have LIFE. They are surrounded by death and taste death over and over. No one in that state would consider themselves to have LIFE. Its like when a car is destroyed and completely totaled, the car itself still exists, but it is dead and will be of no more use again
God is a God of justice, holiness, and love far beyond our understanding. Eternal torment cannot possibly be just or loving, because it is ceaseless punishing for finite sins. Think of it this way: If a child stole a piece of candy from your candy shop, would you have his hands cut off so that his life would never be the same? Or let's use even an extreme example. Say a child or teenager viciously murdered one of your family. Would you lock him up and have him tortured for half a lifetime until he was a starved, crippled, helpless and traumatised shell of a human? That isn't loving justice, that's a hateful vengeance. Now let me ask: Does God not see us as His children? When He says He longs to gather His people as a mother hen gathers her chicks, is that not fatherly love for a child? When Christ died in agony on the cross and said, 'Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do?' Did Jesus not understand in that moment that we are infinitely smaller, weaker, and more ignorant compared to a God whose throne is the heavens and whose footstool is the earth? That we don't always know what we do? So just as you would not torture a child -- someone who doesn't understand things the way you as an adult understand -- for days, weeks, maybe months, and watch him suffer for the rest of his life as a consequence and call that 'justice' (you would call it sick and sadistic), neither can you call hell 'justice.'
Glory be to my God forever and ever for once again he as revealed his truth and himself to me I never believed in dat doctrine, I just couldn't see Jesus Christ in that light Am I above glad he as set me free today halleluya to the king of kings
Funny how some commenters focus on how evil God is for "sending" people to hell, but never acknowledge His totally unselfish love for humanity in giving His only begotten Son to be TORTURED to keep us out of hell...but, He also warned us of scoffers and false prophets beforehand so I am not at all surprised.
Evil is not outweighed by good. A God who would mercilessly torture people for trillions of years times infinity deserves only hatred and fear, not love. Messiah DIED for our sins, he did not endlessly suffer in fiery torment. The wages of sin is DEATH. The soul that sins shall DIE. Fear him who can DESTROY both body and soul in Gehenna.
I totally agree the human heart is wicked and deceitful days so in scripture not one of us is perfect only our dear Lord was perfect we are all sinners all evil underneath and capable of hate malicious lying and tons more stuff. Fact remains people will all go oh he was great guy she was lovely woman but there is no such person!! To God we are all sinners only true repentance and total sincerity with strength of the holy spirit helping us to change our hearts and become new creations in Christ will any of us see heaven. Exodus 21:6 "Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him FOREVER." -- Forever in this instance was not without end. It was "until death." Jonah 2:6 "I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me FOREVER."-- Forever in this instance was not without end. It was "3 days." These are only 2, of multiple times, in the bible "forever" did not mean without end.
First of all, it is the SMOKE that goes up forever and ever, not the Torment. Read it again. Secondly, this verse in Revelation is NOT speaking of people in hell. Read the FULL chapter to get the context. It is speaking of the people who are going through the 7 year Tribulation period. THEY, the people going through the tribulation on the Earth, will be suffering during that time.
Hell is eternal. An argument to the contrary is mainly emotional. Why is it no one argues about an eternal heaven, but only an eternal hell? Heaven and hell are 2 sides of the same God. We pick which one we wish to deal with for all eternity. Just as the burning bush was burned but not consumed, so too will be the souls of the lost. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hell may be eternal, but it does not burn for all time. Those are two different things. Pastor Mark covers this in the video. It's very easy to prove this. If you read Jude 7:7 it says that Sodom was burned with "eternal fire". Eternal doesn't mean forever and every and ever. It just means until the goal is finished and the consequences are permanent. If what I'm saying isn't true then Sodom would still be burning today and of course that's not the case. See the text below. Jude 7:7 "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. 12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. This interpretation is more based on the assumption that God is love and will not execute a punishment forever, but that's not what the bible said, Hell is the consequence of sin, and real death, is the death in the spirit, the everlasting separation with God. Every spirit is created for ETERNITY, so when we die in the body, you will either reconcile with the lord in Heaven, or end up in the separation from the lord which is in Hell. Unfortunately, the perish of the spirit is a downgraded punishment for sin and it is not the case, one could only choose from the two ways of eternity so follow Jesus and be saved.
Once again you people better stop listening to this guy he is not explaining the word.. get yourself a Bible Dictionary and concordance and sit down and study study study for yourself.. for yourself.. he's wrong..
The Scriptures say that the dead are conscious of NOTHING at all! Ecclesiastical 9:5,10; that the wages sin pays is death Roman's 6:20; that the one who has died is acquitted from his sin Roman's 6:7. What would be the point of a literal fired hell? It's symbolic.
Hi Carol, you have asked a very good question. I agree with all the verses you have quoted. But the Bible talks about two types of death (Revelation 20:6). The second death is what the wicked will face and the righteous will have no share in it. So what is the second death? The physical death that we all face is a consequence of sin. But the second death is the eternal death and that is the penalty for sin. After the millennium the wicked dead will be resurrected and will receive the punishment for sin. So, hell is real. If you have any further questions, please email us at info@hopelives365.com and we'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.
@@HL365 the second death is eternal death. Destruction, not eternal torture. God is love! He puts life and death before us, not life and torture. The second death is symbolic of eternal destruction.
Hi Carol, the second death is as real. It is not symbolic of eternal destruction. It is eternal destruction. When we say eternal fire, we do not talk about a fire that will both forever. No. The effects of this fire will be eternal. The wicked will be reduced to ashes.
Lared, for an understanding of what eternal refers to, read Jude 1:7. It talks about the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. But, those cities are not burning now. “The fire that annihilated the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah completed its work. When all that could be burned up had been burned up the fire went out. That fire has long since ceased to burn, but its effect will continue throughout eternity. It is in this sense that these cities suffered “the vengeance of eternal fire.”
Scripture actually says much about the topic. One who thinks they 'know enough to not go there', when it comes to topics covered in scripture cannot claim they are only interested in seeking God. How does one seek God by avoiding those things upon which He has specifically spoken? Knowing God is about understanding His expressed revelation.
@@tdickensheets The resurrection of judgment is described as 'the second death.' This is the eternal judgment from which one will never recover or return. The Bible says the punishment is eternal. It never says the punishing is eternal. Your explanation for the final judgment being anything less than complete and final destruction, in which the individual ceases entirely to exist in mind, body and spirit, requires great inference to arrive at such a conclusion. If one sticks to the simple words of the many texts in scripture about the subject, this idea of a non-existent existence, an eternally conscious death, has no solid foundation. It is indirectly inferred. It is never explicitly revealed.

The truth will set you free - and your witness! I have been struggling with my witness lately just because of this. I LOVE the people I witness to, I love the people I am sharing Christ with, and I just have not been able to give them the hellfire and brimstone routine anymore (and I am in my mid-60's, serving the Lord since I was in my 20's!) So the Lord has put me on this path to be "transformed by the renewing of my mind" and the wrenching correction of bad doctrine. But it is liberating to have BALANCE. Yes, there is judgement, we ALL will be judged - and I am sorry, it's not going to be fun or pretty, BUT God is JUST and compassionate. He will save every single person He possibly can, but the willfully wicked, the ones that delight in the suffering of others, the ones that openly and willingly are enemies of God and His Christ, well, I have no doubt that they will not be able to stand before a Righteous God and last very long.
If Hell is not is not eternal, how do you explain Daniel 12:2? "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."
Are you assuming that shame and contempt means "unspeakable torture in fiery agony for a trillion years times infinity"? Because that's not what those words mean. I had an uncle on my mother's side who murdered his wife and killed himself. He does not feel shame nor contempt, but he is a black spot on the family name, who are ashamed of him and hold his name in contempt. The same goes for the unrepentant who are thrown into the lake of fire. Their rejection of Messiah and his father is both shameful and contemptible.

Which verses were out of context and what is the correct context? The only problem I noticed was that Mark read the "no fire to warm yourself by" verse weirdly. When taking verses out of context, Revelation is the most severely abused by your side of the argument. Firstly, the book is easily recognized by scholars as 'apocalyptic literature', which uses figurative language to describe real events. That is no reason to ignore the text, but to take it as a one-to-one description of the future is irresponsible. No scholarly Christian disagrees on that, not even in the hell debate. Research that if you need to, and the following: The second thing that Christian scholars agree upon is that the beast in revelation represents an empire. This can be seen by the fact that it is composed of the 4 animals in Daniel 7, which are also symbolic, all of which are interpreted as "four kings" or kingdoms, 7;17. They are known to be Babylon, Medio-Persia, Greece, and Rome. Furthermore, The beast in revelation has 10 horns 7;7 (10 kings) Rev 17:12, corresponding to the 4th Daniel animal. This beast exercises empirical power such as persecution and changing laws. 7;25 It is then said that this beast empire is tormented in hell. How do you torment a political/economic machine? The bible explains. The harlot, who is the city of Babylon personified, 17;18, is destroyed. Nobody lives or trades there anymore and she is made desolate, 18;19. This destruction is called "torment with fire", and "eternal smoke", 18;7-8 and 19;3. This has nothing to do with eternal conscious pain, as it is explicitly a personification of the destruction of a city throughout chapter 18. Cities are and were commonly personified, like Israel as a woman who often committed sexual adultery, a symbol for idol worship. The harlot is no more an actual person being tortured and eaten 16;17 than Israel was one big woman having horse sex. Eziekiel 23;20. I say this respectfully and factually; nobody who has more than a rudimentary acquaintance with text disagrees here, but many simply ignore the text after correctly reading it, failing to let scripture interpret itself when it comes to the beast and the lake of fire. The harlot (a city) and the beast she rides 17;3 (an empire) both meet the same fate; destruction. The torment in hell is NOT literal conscious pain, unless you explicitly ignore WHAT is being tormented. The bible is clear that hell is a place of destruction for all things contrary to Gods design, man and machine. Even death and hades go to hell to "be no more". (Some argue that these represent the temporarily dead wicked, which is wrong because the wicked are resurrected and clearly listed separate from death and hades) One could be forced to argue that there must be two types of torment, the metaphysical type that the bible lays out, and a physical type, but that makes no sense and is adding to the text what is not stated.

Hi Lilia, I believe in eternal hell, because God is eternal, saved people will go to heaven eternally, people died in sin will also end up in hell eternally, this is JUST. Do not forget: God is HOLY and JUST, this is why He is GOOD. This is why we LOVE Him and also FEAR Him at the same time.
We sins against the Eternal Holy God.
@@truthlies7018 eternal PUNISHMENT is not eternal PUNISHING. Eternal punishments means forever DEAD never waking up and joining God's kingdom
Fear of hell (death, eternal grave, eternal destruction, turned to ashes) Eternal meaning one destroyed in death its eternal non-existance.
So why does Jesus speak more on he'll than on heaven.

According to your answer, Heaven might not be eternal either then. The Bible describes both places as forever AND ever .
The smoke of their torments lasts forever, not the the torments themselves.
Study and learn and make your own
conclusions.

Yes.
So, it is good to know that there are others who actually read and study the word of God to get the truth. I rarely find a believer in Christ who believes as I do about hell and heaven and what happens to those who die. I've been studying scripture for over 30 years and can not understand how Preachers, Pastors, Ministers, Evangelists, and Teachers of the word can come up with everlasting life (immortality) for unbelievers in hell. It's just NOT in there. Thank you for this video. Read John 3:16, then tell me YOUR definition of "perish".
Death ensues, not simply because God wills it, but because the sinner chooses to separate himself from God, the source of life."

Ms Patty the word Hell appears 23 times in the N.T. There are 3 Greek words for it.
1. Gehenna 12 times, Jesus mentions it 11 times himself Matt 5:22,29,30, 10:28, 18:9, 25:15,33 - Mark 9:43,45,47 - Luke 12:5, James 3:6. 2. Hades is mentioned 10 times this is a holding place for the righteous (paradise) and the wicked ( torment) Luke 16 . Waiting for judgment. 3. Tartaros 2 Peter 2:4. Study it yourself!
@@charleswilliams8248 Yes, hell is a real place and Jesus mentioned it often, BUT, unbelievers receiving LIFE in Hell is NOT real. They DIE there. ONLY believers can get the free gift of immortality and live forever, unbelievers can NOT become immortal for they did not seek after immortality. Romans 2:7 "To those who by persistence in doing good SEEK glory, honor and IMMORTALITY, he will give eternal life." So, what of those who do NOT seek after immortality? They don't get it! They die in fires of Hell.
@Patty Green: Exactly!!! I'll never understand how people turn the word (PERISH) into ever lasting life.

Eddie, good question. We would like to give a detailed explanation on this. Please email- info@hopelives365.com
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Please email us at info@hopelives365.com and we would be glad to talk to you about it.

Clear and plain as day
the fact that people believe that there will be an eternal hell fire burning forever and ever and ever just shows the wickedness of their heart and the deep deception that has taken place. they haven't really studied their bible and let the Holy Spirit show them the truth.
So, there's no consequence's? just asking.
Let us look at some passages
“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die”
Genesis 2:17
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
So from these passages, we see that sin causes death. That’s the punishment
And we know that sin is the transgression of Elohim’s laws
Adam and Eve both broke the commandments of God and therefore death came into existence, since then the world and everything in it has been dying. God saw this and he promised to rectify it and he sacrificed his son for it
God promised who ever believes in his son would not perish but have eternal life
This has been the reoccurring theme through out the scriptures
It is the Roman Catholic Church that brought the teachings of eternal hellfire to defraud people of their possessions and control them
We are suffering from the effects of sin already. Hurricanes, earthquakes, cancers, STDs, poverty, killings, hatred, greed, malnutrition, obesity, allergies, autism, forest fires outbreaks, harsh weather conditions, bad leaderships, rape, theft, deaths etc I could go on and on
It was not God’s intention that we go through all these, it was sin which brought these things and it all leads to death
Elohim says he would create a new world where these kinds of things as I have stated earlier as a result of sin wouldn’t exist. All we have to do is believe in Jesus and obey all his commandments
Hope I was able to explain things into perspective for you
Sorry for the long write up
God bless
Dont compare God's justice to be parallel with our human sentiments.... Even His way is not our way , His thoughts are not the same with our thoughts.. human understanding how God decides or How he will make things according to his plan is limited ...that is why we must fear Him with trembling..not just love Him.... Would an earthly judge sentence a person to death for stealing a paper clip or a few pieces of candy?
This is the second death-the lake of fire." So death and hades are cast into the lake of fire, you cant torment death and hades so I believe it is saying gone forever or destroyed as its says in 1 Corinthians 15: "26The last enemy to be destroyed is death." and Revelation 21:4
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away."

@@HL365 I wish I had a bible that showed each word for hell as its original word in Greek. Why they translated all 3 words as 'hell' is puzzling.

Condemnation is the equivalent to "damnation". This is expressly mentioned in numerous passages throughout Scripture, including Rom. 5:12, 1 Cor. 15:22, Gen 2:17, Rom. 5:18, etc. It's fairly straight-forward.

I have used my write-up on other sites so here goes:
The Gospel is the Good News which means that we live forever.
@@HL365 Did you ever answer this? :)
Where does it say that God created a firey place for sinners? It says He created the heavens and the earth!
Jesus himself mentions in Matthew 10:28 that "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
So it is pretty clear form the Bible.

Its like when a car is destroyed and completely totaled, the car itself still exists, but it is dead and will be of no more use again
No
God is a God of justice, holiness, and love far beyond our understanding.

We have a choice Jesus died for us to have that choice if we end up in eternal damnation and he'll which I do believe in its our own choice on that. God is kind and loving and extremely patient but keep on sinning you better watch out!!!
_"Fear him who can DESTROY both body and soul in gehenna."_
Jude 7:7 "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

11 And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. 12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. 14 Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. 15 And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
I agree, Foe ever and ever, you can't change that. He is misleading the saints

It's great sermon... I believe this sermon upon truth.

Friend
Seventh-day Adventist "church" is a false cult.
Once again you people better stop listening to this guy he is not explaining the word.. get yourself a Bible Dictionary and concordance and sit down and study study study for yourself.. for yourself.. he's wrong..
Why would anyone voluntarily surrender their ability to think in a rational manner just to buy into this fairytale?
Rational? What do you consider rational. Did you even watch the video?

@@HL365 the second death is eternal death. Destruction, not eternal torture. God is love! He puts life and death before us, not life and torture. The second death is symbolic of eternal destruction.
Psalm 37:9,10 says the wicked will be no more ; Psalm 145:20 says ....all the wicked he will annihilate!
I see God has not explained this subject. We know enough to not to go there. I wish to seek God, Not just the knowledge of hell, but of God.
Of course he did, listen again, the bible is words God speaking to us
Scripture actually says much about the topic.
@@johnnybgoode2484 I like to put it this way. It says eternal punishment, not eternal torment. IF i love a hand in an accident, it is forever. But the torment I went thru when I lost it, isnt forever.
@@BP7BlackPearl Right. But it's really just as simple as a death from which one never returns to life. It's final. No reconsideration. No release for good behavior. The punishment is eternal.
Death is destruction. The devil doesnt die so he has to be punished forever.
But every human being dies, wicked or not. Terrifying. The only hope we have is for Jesus to ressurect us.
Where does the Bible say that the devil doesn't die? If the devil doesn't die, then he must live forever. But the punishment for sin is death which is cessation of life.

May God continue to teach you more and more truth as you are being transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Glory to God, thanks for this teaching. Bless you

It is the effect of the punishment that is everlasting.

Eternal Hell is the truth. Do not believe SDA false church.

Don’t believe any of these people they have an answer for everything just like this ear tickler in the video. Hell is eternal and it’s so plain that my 6 year old nephew can understand it.
Thank you for taking scripture completely out of context and eliminating punishment for wrongdoing all at the same time
Which verses were out of context and what is the correct context? The only problem I noticed was that Mark read the "no fire to warm yourself by" verse weirdly.
When taking verses out of context, Revelation is the most severely abused by your side of the argument.
Firstly, the book is easily recognized by scholars as 'apocalyptic literature', which uses figurative language to describe real events. That is no reason to ignore the text, but to take it as a one-to-one description of the future is irresponsible. No scholarly Christian disagrees on that, not even in the hell debate. Research that if you need to, and the following:
The second thing that Christian scholars agree upon is that the beast in revelation represents an empire. 7;25
It is then said that this beast empire is tormented in hell.
(Some argue that these represent the temporarily dead wicked, which is wrong because the wicked are resurrected and clearly listed separate from death and hades)
One could be forced to argue that there must be two types of torment, the metaphysical type that the bible lays out, and a physical type, but that makes no sense and is adding to the text what is not stated.
What scripture is taken out of context? Please email us at info@Hopelives365.com and we would be glad to talk to you about it.
