I do praise Shawn for this message; however, I have a couple of points worth addressing. The man of lawlessness or anomia is not particularly a power structure such as the Roman Catholic Church; not is it particularly a set of doctrinal points.
I believe this anomian or lawless power can be shown in its true light by the beastly methods of the rule of law-a system of rules w/o inherent consequence that require the rule-giver to police breeches in the law by judicial oversight and enforcement by police state.
Martin Luther himself was an Augustinian monk who had great praise for the writings of Augustine; however, much of Augustine's writings had very pagan views of who God is and how His justice works. He thought that God operated to retributively to punish the oppressor and deliver the oppressed; however, sin, selfishness and fear of death does not pick favorites in each and every person as everyone is ruled by the law of sin and death before coming into knowledge of Him who saves to the uttermost.
In fact, Martin Luther himself had doubts about the authenticity of the books of Hebrews as well as holding James, Jude, and Revelation in contempt because he held works not in similitude with faith and he rejected the Great Controversy theme continually demonstrated throughout Scripture.

And some people have itchy ears. 2 Tim 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears

Here is the quote that sums up this presentation: 40:56 - "It's over. America's not coming back" and then there is this: 41:27 - "You're not going to fix it. It's over" So what he is saying is to ignore evil, don't oppose it, don't vote, don't do anything about it. There is nothing you can do to improve things so you might as well not try, just live with it. Halley's comet is coming tomorrow and is going to beam you out anyway. Granted, the Halley's comet bit is satire, but I think you see the point.

To be fair you cannot use satanic enforcement by edicts in state legislation to be able to transform hearts and minds that's why Zechariah 4:6 not by my nor by power but by how my spirit works. God cannot use the beastly powers of legislation in police enforcement to be able to renew hearts and minds into Christ-likeness. It is not possible and I think that that is what Shawn is getting at.
