so wonderful that your birthday is soon! had a big win in convincing my parents to make another big garden area, chipping away at a seemingly dry and sad looking small hillside of long struggling lawn. took off massive amounts of dead branches from a spruce, and my dad was the one who wanted to make a huge habitat pile in the woodland edge, now i have more space for three new trees around the older one, and got my mom on board with the idea of planting a whole bunch of low lying shrubs and some tall grasses to stabilize and ground everything.
i hope that all of us sharing how much we all love what you do, and inspiring us, brings you a similar joy of community
Crows are the best! My little Squawk Squad figured out which room is mine and if I don't get up on time, they come tap on the window, like, "HEY LADY! BREAKFAST!!!" They love roasted peanuts (in the shell, unsalted). Pretty sure they view them as edible toys.

I too love crows, and I think they are soooo intelligent, and know what is going on in our world, much more than we human beings do, as they are part of nature. They talk to each other, and can see so much from flying above everything. I talk to them most days, as see a lot down here in Devon, on the newly seeded fields. I try to always look up, at the beautiful trees where I live. No buildings or chimneys, but it is wonderful how nature can take over a chimney pot, or roof above us.

Our anniversary is on Samhain, and not by accident. ;) As I sit next to a wide open window, with the rain and golden leaves with crisp air...it's pure autumnal bliss. It's always very nourishing to the soul to see kindred spirits out there, that's why I've enjoyed your channel and blogs for so long. 🌲
Good evening Colette, thank you once again for your video,wonderful day here today working in my garden is always a joy . I have collard Doves that come into feed and on occasion if I'm sitting in my lounge one or two of Doves come and sit on the window ledge stare at me through the glass until I go out with food top up for them the grey squirrels have a similar habit when they see me move out of room I open back door and they are sitting with a pleading look in their eyes , works every time I give out squirrel nuts, I too consider my garden their sanctuary haven as much as mine .I look up at the sky and buildings all the time, The vegetation seems to stay green all year round on the roof tops the birds have lots of nesting materials and plenty of bugs for their meals too .Also go further and check out the cloud formations always pictures and drama. The aeroplanes on long haul flights passing overhead so high like Silver birds glinting in the sunlight there is magic everywhere when you look for it .

I live on an island that is considered extremely beautiful however we do not have the gift of autumn as it is tropical here, so only green and flowers year round. Thank you Colette and you're very welcome on this beautiful morning and happy birthday soon. At night I put a small candle in one jar, and surround it with other jars with water, and a little mirror. It produces all the light I need at night and seems very soothing. I think the crows planted the chimney top garden in Sligo, and you inspired them. The advertising on youtube is mostly about trying to swindle people.

I start most of my days with coffee , and a think ,in my yard . The spring water looks so good . I love good cold spring water. During my growing year years. Lot's of people had springs and almost everyone kept a clean tin can there for anyone passing by , to enjoy a cool drink ..lovely timed. Where did they go,??

Looking up there is so much to see Clouds are wonderful I take photos as I see so many shapes of creatures . One moment they are there and then they are gone ☁ The moon in all its spender a sight to behold 🌝
I also feed a variety of birds that come each day A family of Maggie's , Cockatoos ,Rainbow Lorikeets , Butcher birds, Rosela's ,Currawongs even a lone seagull drops in from time to get a feed
Along with my wild yard of plants and trees life is never dull each day something new

Finally, after months of no rain, the sky opened yesterday! It's been so dry in Oregon, the trees haven't even bothered to change color for the fall. They are just dropping green or brown leaves. Climate change is wreaking havoc. I remember when I moved to Oregon 16 years ago, the climate was just like Ireland. Those days are long gone. I went for a 4 mile walk today in the wetness and was thrilled!
