Hi Sean. Ive had CFS for many years. When they say you have topace yourself they dont tell you its by the hour not by the week. Youhave done so much amazing activity recently, propelled by enthusiasm and vision. Your body has thrown up the brakes. I learnt the hard way as I was always very gung ho to get things done and expell lots of energy to achieve it. You have to pace by the hour to keep the batteries evenly balanced or it will knockyou out.

100% agree. Right now I do a little work for an hour and then rest for an hour. Just walking up a steep flight of stairs necessitates me to take a rest and it’s not because of overweight. Sometimes it’s wise to NOT push through but honor what our body is trying to tell us.

Hey Sean, Marja here from the US. Here’s my “from what it’s worth” dept. As you stated, from past experience, this too shall pass - the chronic fatigue. However, and I am sure you know this, because of your history with depression, you need to be super vigilant about your “thinking” so you don’t spiral down. Those “stinking” thoughts are insidious and can sneak in there and then next thing you know another and another has piled on top leading to “oh woe is me”. Think of it like this, just like tending to your garden and pulling out weeds, that’s what you do with the stinking thoughts. You are such a brave soul and have accomplished so much in your move to Wales and the inspiration you are to all of us. Be kind to yourself and focus on the kitties and whatever brings you some joy right now.

I am sorry you are going through this Sean I have fibromyalgia and if I overdo things or have lot of stress I am greatly affected. I try to keep my carbs low as sugars seem to affect me but I find lots of food to enjoy. My weight often makes me depressed and if I see a photograph that one of my friends take of me I hate it. I have to lose 10 kgs as my joints are suffering too.
Be kind to yourself you are such a talented guy. Take care ❤

Hi Sean i also suffer from chronic fatigue...i hate it. I'm always looking for energy. I'm very tired of the pain all over. I try my best just like you do. Some days are write-offs. Most people don't understand. But on a better note...someone gave me a mint roots which I potted up right away. I keep up with watering my vegetable garden but the energy is not there to do more. I taught the ducklings how to get to the pond and that was fun. Every day I hope for energy. Eat very clean, excersize some every day, vitamins...nothing helps. But we do keep trying. Hugs for your day. Maybe tomorrow will be better...Sue from Arizona

Hi Sean 👋 from Nova scotia, Canada 🇨🇦. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can be very tricky sometimes. I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome as well, 4 years ago, and I am still learning how to adjust to it. For decades I worked hard like a work horse and enjoyed it very much, but the chronic fatigue syndrome really puts the brakes on. I hope you feel better soon. Rest up and take care. 😀

Feel better soon Sean. These unseen illnesses are so annoying and sometimes debilitating, you are resilient and will feel better soon, just take it slow. I had a great day in the garden yesterday, sun shone most of the day here in South Yorkshire and lots of sowing and potting on was done. Today is wet and miserable and my 70yr old body is feeling it, not much gardening being done today, a lot of sleeping and resting my arthritic bones 😊. Take it easy Sean, you will bounce back soon and feel much better and stronger. Best wishes

Coming at you from Nova Scotia, the weather is warming up now into the 20's. It's sunny. Nights are still cold. 2 C at present. Had a frost warning last night, so I have to cover my plants with domes and then for good measure i put a sheet of greenhouse plastic over all that. In another week or 2, i should be able to plant basil and tomatoes. I will still have to cover things at night probably into mid June depending on the forecast. Feel better soon.🙂

I feel for you, as these things are horrible. I too find I have lack of energy, but mine is sometimes because I am not eating much, due to not being able to afford much food anymore. It is good that you can sleep, as having cats, at least you do not have to take them out for a walk. I love my rescue greyhound Madge, but she has me up at 6.00am to take her out, and about 4/5 times for walks during the day, as we do not have a garden for her to do her business or exercise in, just a little front bit, where I have potted plants and potted trees, and we can sit out in. At least she gets me out walking in nature and the fresh air, and if it was not for her, I do not know where I would be now, as she is my only company. I had to sell my car, as due to my severe anxiety with going out, I was not using it, and could not afford to keep it in the end anyway. I do not live near any shops, so get everything delivered, as I live out in the sticks in West Devon, but I love where I live in my little house. Get rested, get well. Blessings from Jilly & Madge. xxx

Hi from Canada. It was 10 degrees here yesterday, but it seems to be getting better. I just moved into a rented room in a house, my first ever time living with people in shared accommodations ( except my family ). It is an interesting experience. They are lovely people and I am just grateful to have a roof over my head. I have lived alone for 17 years until financial circumstances led me to the rented room. I am a senior now, and our government pension is quite low. ( Still extremely grateful for any help, no matter what amount it is.) I have reached a stage in my life that is challenging, but I am a happy and cheerful person. I love to help others and I am so happy to be able to help this wonderful family in small ways. I am not lonely anymore, which is so nice. I hope you feel better soon. Rest and do something you love to do. Buy yourself a sweet treat or watch a good tv show. Take care.

Sending a virtual cuppa & a healing hug your way.
Rest up, enjoy some duvet tranquility with Amber & Topsy.
We'll all be here when you are well & ready ...
When you have a little energy, try doing cow & cat, yoga poses, supposed to help with fatigue / exhaustion (according to my healing yoga book.)
Try an epsom salt balth & some of your berrocca?
I have a very rare almost all the day off, was going to have a journey out into lands unknown ... but changed my mind - the weather looks a bit tempermental. So now being sensible, fixing the wheelbarrow, planting out the runner beans, & maybe finish painting the fence depending on the weather & time.
Then a bit of work this evening :)
Take care of yourself, is this the 3rd time you have been poorly within about a month? whilst it will pass, Please do take it steady when you feel a bit better. Your adage of do a little do it often, is so true, (& has stopped me from doing too much - thank you.)
You've had massive life changes this year, & whilst all very positive long term, still takes time to adjust, & settle into a routine to find the balance of work, rest and fun etc.
I'm sure you have many ppl who would willingly lend a hand, to tackle those awkward (almost impossible to do on your own) type tasks. Call in a favour or two if you need to. What is the worst they can say?😂

It's a great idea when you have days like that to in the mornings put something in the slow cooker and just leave it so you can rest for a good few hours then when you get up and feel ready the meal is all ready for you with no fuss, thats the beauty of a slow cooker for days like that. Really hope you will feel much better in a few days, so we can get back to watching/ listening to your normal cheery self. 😊😉 Oh and just to add never worry about just making a video of you just sat down chatting those type are getting my guilty pleasure 🤫😊

Dear Sean, sorry you are having a ME flare up. It is so frustrating. But it sounds like you are accepting of the situation and know about self care. Go gently is my mantra. I used to be able to do that well, but caring for a daughter with cancer and once more living with family has kind of derailed my self care process. Now, I have to practice self forgiveness as well, for the days when I can't do what is needed for anyone else or me. Thinking of you, from Down Under, where I have just bought a couple of plants for autumn colour and finished watching Breaking Bad, a brilliant American series. I usually only watch English programs, but I was really impressed with BB. Brilliantly crafted by all concerned.( I grew up in our local cinema where my dad was the projectionist, in the days when that was a skilled trade. I learnt about quality films early on. Good times.)

With my CFS, Fibromyalgia and ME I find the rain makes the pain worse, so maybe that has contributed to your flare up. Thank you Sean for doing this vlog while poorly, much appreciated, but put yourself first or your crash will last longer. The hay fever has been bad during this heatwave for sufferers, so you could have that too, one of my sons has hay fever quite badly which gives him CFS flare up and he has to go to bed for days with headaches, sore throat and fatigue, so please rest and take it easy.

Sean, Storm Dennis in February 2020 cause severe flooding in South Wales. Half of our allotment site next to the Taff was under water. If the Homestead did not flood then you should be OK in the future Rivers in the South Wales Valleys tend to rise and fall very quickly. Get better soon ...

Good to hear that Sean's plot may not to succumb to flooding, sorry you were not so fortunate.hope you didn't lose a lot of produce and you have now recovered the site 💜

@@ChristineHillier67 my plot was OK but as the allotment site is on the flood plain the soil is excellent. The water receded within five hours but left quiet a mess. Unfortunately more importantly many peoples houses suffered severe flood damage further up the valley.

Lost most of my sweet peas. At least my daylilies look good. I look forward to seeing you plant your new plants. Take care

Hi Sean, i thought of you the other day here in New Zealand when i cooked up some mushrooms and eggs, i do mine a bit different to you but pretty sure the end result is the same. Thought i would mention that. I am impressed with your camera, what a good score, so lovely watching nature in that way. Good luck with your health. Sometimes it is nice to add a sliver of ginger to a cuppa tea, especially when you have a cold. Take care.

Hi Sean , l am sitting here watching you with a bad cold too, hope you get better soon. I have small metal raised garden beds for my veg growing and at the moment l am emptying some out to move to another position. The reason why is that over the back fence there is 2 dogs that as soon as they hear me there they start barking and scratching the fence so much l have to go inside and they ruin my garden joy. I hope to get a Ibc container cut in half to make a wicking bed to give it ago too. I live in the Sub trops of Brisbane and it's Autumn here, glorious days of 24c with rain at times. Going up to the mountains for lunch on Friday but instead of English trees it is a wet to dry rainforest, native gingers , orchids and ferns high up in the rainforest trees ,it's always cooler up there then down on the coastal plains , Maleny is the town we are heading to, look it up on google maps if you like .Take care, don't rush back till your better!!!❤

Hi Sean. So sorry to see you are unwell, .you have my deepest sympathy.
I have suffered Chronic Fatigue for many years along with other Autoimmune problems.
I have been enjoying your videos for a few months now and really enjoy seeing all the nature and of course Wales.
I know it’s very frustrating being under the weather.
I really battle with having to give in to my body. I have found taking Vitamin D Vit C vit K2 and Zinc have all helped stave off the colds and Flu.
Also making sure my B12 is optimal, low B12;can lead to awful achy joints.
    Wishing you a speedy recovery.😊
