I watched a documentary about this Tradition, and there it was said by a Japanese man that this is not meant to be inhaled. And I also do believe that it is not meant to be inhaled, since pipe and cigar smoke is not meant to be inhaled. Only with cigarettes really it bacame a thing that the smoke is being inhaled, at least afaik.
After the very funny moment of noticing the slightly unappropriate design of the white lines and Jacobs perfectly appropriate reaction to that I was expecting yet a second funny moment of bringing up an even more unappropriate link between that very design and the country where the tobacco is made, that would really challenge Jacobs ability to an even more appropriate spontaneous reaction 😁
U should do reviews on other stuff too maybe, i watched this entire thing tbh i would buy this but prolly not really. I just like to listen to you talk and give your opinion on stuff.
jacob, there's no way it can be the metal that smells. pipes aren't made out of soft metals with a low melting temperature. it's either some sort of coating or just genuinely the taste of the tobacco.
Similar, but not the same, and they originate from separate places of course! Medwakhs these days generally have a built in filter, whereas Kiseru pipes never do, to name on difference, although usability wise, they are much more similar than not of course
Fascinating hearing about Japanese pipe smoking. The very fine shag cut is uncommon in pipe tobaccos in the west, although I came across one recently that's fantastic - GL Pease Penny Farthing.

Hey Jacob, I find the majority of your videos to be enjoyable. However, I would like to bring up one point. From what I see, you're smoking too fast and aggressively, and I'm not sure how you'll test the drag and texture of the smoke. Not to mention the initial taste.
