Hello this why hard core fans like me go to see them in live concerts for me 22 mainly in France, UK, Portugal, they are the best band ever, 3 genius, nobody sound like them
Muse shows are the best i’ve ever seen. And i saw Rammstein! In their drones tour they had 10 huge drones flying around in patterns . It was awesome!! Love Muse and their endless creativity!!
2007 and the parabolic antennas & dancer on air balloons, 2010 and huge scene with crazy riot entrance, 2013 and the crazy scenography (and the robot on Unsustainable), 2015 and the Drones, 2019 with dancers and Murph ! I'm not tired seeing them live!
OMG! Unsustainable is sooo unreal live. That Bass! The whole floor is moving! When it came out on the album, I was like meh, where is the singing, but when I experienced it live, it became one of my fave's of Muse!
This is from The 2nd Law album released in 2012, Muse tried dubstep among other things in this album especially on this song though they played it all with real instruments (fans lost their mind when this track was released and everyone was screaming "Muse went Dubstep" XD). It's funny that you would mention Mylene Farmer, because there were talks of a possible collaboration between Muse and her at some point, but it never happened ! It would be fun to watch though !
I'm hardcore Muse fan since 2001 best (live) band alive! Been to almost every tour This one too.. when Unsustainable opened i had goosebumps all over my body.. and please just watch their video's and lyrics closely... theyre ahead of time ... Matt is brilliant!!!
I don't mean to be rude but let me correct you... It's actually a midi controller that then goes to the kaoss pad off stage, or whatever he wants it to control. While yes he does make a lot of crazy sounds, this song actually uses a digitech wammy for a ton of the crazy pitch shifting sounds. Either way Muse is awesome!
That "LED Pad" is the screen portion taken from a "Korg Kaoss Pad", he's essentially just using the X&Y axis as an interface for pitch shifting on the fly, he'll use it for things like the solo section in Super Massive Blackhole. The Second Law album was some of the most experimental tracks they had put out to date, electronic sounds have always been in their albums quite early.
This song is amazing live.. The bass is unreal! And yes it's all played via guitar.. All the silly cool sounds are played using Matts Manson guitar with the x y controller and a lot of programming.
This opened the show in Montreal in 2013, the 24th of April when I was there on vacation with a friend (partly for the concert). It was... well, amazing doesn't quite cover it, but you know which direction I'm pointing!
For this track, pitch shift MIDI data is being sent to manipulate the guitar signal live. The pad is a KAOSS pad, which can also be used as a MIDI controller live
I've been avoiding muse live videos since the pandemic started before this. I miss them so much :( I'll have to see them live at least 3 more times on the next tour
for the effects in question, he's using a whammy pedal to pitch up and down octaves but its being controlled via midi to be able to switch settings quickly and toe up/down faster than a human could.
Hi saw you were about Matts guitar effects his guitars are custom made in Devon, UK by manson guitars the the electronic pad is also made nearby and is called a chaos pad Muse also hold the world record for breaking the most guitars on tour about 120 😬👍
So Matt's usual guitar contains a fuzz factory pedal, a sustainiac (magnets that produce infinite sustain) and an XY pad to control guitar effects. This song he's practically just playing a few notes, which is being changed by MIDI in his Digitec Whammy pedal (pitch shifter). The majority of the noises he makes is generally some f*ed up combination of all of that going off at once. He uses other effects but those are the main ones.
You can’t really appreciate this band until you see them live. It’s three guys (yes, there’s background artists sometimes when they can’t play multiple instruments at the same time). Three guys make more diverse sounds than bands with double the members. And they’re great at everything. You just have to see them to see just how talented they are
You should react to Bruce Springsteen and Tom Morello live playing The Ghost of Tom Joad, then you will understand how Matt does electronic sound in his guitar, as Matt is a Morello's fan
Hi guys can you plz do a reaction to the handler & survival live by muse love your reactions to muse you guys are fantastic by the way lots of love from England xxxxxx

Sorry to tell you but the first 3 to be sucked up by aliens are you guys, to stop the ridiculously long intro’s and constant interruptions to the best live band out there.
im more of a heavy metal guy, but it was an absolute religious experience seeing this band live. hard to describe how good they are live.
Brother, it’s mind melting.

You guys should see behind the scene video when that song recorded.

This was the first Encore when I saw them in Melbourne 2013. The dub step bass removed the lining of my bowel.

Dominic Howard's kick-drum guys - another aspect that needs more appreciation.
That led pad is a chaos pad! Matt makes most of the sounds on that!

You should hear this in concert, during the Liverpool one you could feels this through your feet!
if you watch the making of the 2nd law he uses his MB 1 guitar and a Digit tech Whammy

Back in the day they play this song to open their concerts, so awesome!
The first time I saw Muse they opened with this, it’s was AMAZING!!!
This tour was amazing
I agree. I've seen four, and I found this to be my favorite....... so far.
Isn't this the sound track from "World War Z" which MUSE both wrote and performed?
@The Wolf HunterZ

The guitars are probably custom from Rors guitars like the midi Pro 2
If y’all think this stage production is wild look up the simulation theory tour with MURPH
Maybe a good video version of the metal medley?
@@TheMiataDriver the one from Dallas is pretty solid
