They sell out every stadium. Best live band out there. Love them..
Mondial Muse génies
They were the first band to sell out the newly rebuilt Wembley stadium over in England back in 2007 (90K capacity). Kind of a big deal.
Came here to say this
They're yuge
You forgot to say it was 2 nights in a row!
First band to sell out Wembley *twice
sold it out two nights in a row
Muse's song Survival was also selected as the official song for the 2012 London Olympics too 🥰
Yes, I would LOVE them to React to Survival Live @ Olympic stadium
@@MsNewsted This!
@@MsNewsted Rome Olympic stadium to clarify. Not the actual performance at the 2012 Olympics
@@hoguemusic9706 yeah, they were sadly forced to play it on playbac k at the olympics, though they absolutely hate playback, so yes, ONLY at rome
I've always loved the irony, because the song and the themes of the album is that the rat race, always wanting more, being the best and number 1 all the time, is what's destroying the planet.
Even as a punk and metalfan, easy top 3 best showband I've ever seen live ,thats how big
This song was put forward to be used as a Bond theme for Skyfall but that honour went to Adele instead. Shame it wasn't used or even included for a Bond soundtrack.
Thank you for mentioning this. Against anyone but Adele, this would have been the Skyfall theme :)
Knew it sounded like a bond theme
The Brits are the British version of the Grammy Awards. Supremacy was the official and opening song of the London Olympics. That's how big Muse are.
Not Supremacy - Survival
@@kidallv same album at least 😂
The best live band in the last twenty years, bar none ,great reaction guys👍🇬🇧
"Wake to see, your true emancipation is a fantasy" How true!!
I think with that blend, muse really feels like prog, classic rock, hard rock, metal, hip hop, 80s pop/synth, and classical all blended together
Oui d'accord avec vous
Muse is still huge will be in a 65k crowd next July to see them. Oh and you have to add the song ‘You make me feel like Halloween’ from the latest album to your playlist for the end of October. There is a great MV
This is the Bond theme that never was. And yes, this is how it sounded on the studio version
Btw, that song sounds exactly the same in the studio version. They are just brilliant!
Muse used to call themselves "the biggest band you've never heard of".
I've never really listened to Muse and I feel I've been doing myself a great disservice by not doing so. I believe I'll dive into their catalog and see what happens! Thanks for the wonderful selection and, as always, great reaction fellers! 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼
You won't be disappointed
do it! they are amazing
how was the journey so far?
Thanks for the reaction, I ❤ how blown away you always are by Muse! Believe it or not, you still find plenty of people in uk and Europe who don’t know amuse🙈 but their fans, Musers, are fanatical! I included myself in that group. They sell out tours in minutes. Keep them coming!🙏❤️
They have so many good songs you could do. Assassin, plug in baby, instant messenger, starlight, black holes, hysteria, knights of cydonia, Stockholm syndrome, hell now I need to listen.
You mean Supermassive Black Hole? Or the whole Black Holes and Revelations album? Lol
@@BooToadstool im confused 🧐
An amazing band
Saw them live when i was 12/13, they were insane.. and again at 18/19, they were better.. then again last month and im 35 and they are without a doubt the best band i have ever seen live. They sell out every stadium they play in worldwide
🙏💖👍👏😱
best live band for the last 20years, easily.
Muse are absolutely HUGE worldwide - maybe not quite so in North America, but throughout Europe, especially the UK where they're from, they sell out massive stadiums! And they do so here too! Their North American tours are pretty broad and include many dates.
This song was perfectly designed for an orchestra. The studio version does have horns, and most likely synth violins, but here they're using the real thing - perfection!!
As one who has played in concert & jazz bands, you don't 'need' a conductor, but he/she completely dictates the tempo of a song - they're basically there to make sure everyone is in sync. In typical 'bands', the conductor is the drummer and possibly the bassist - the rhythm section. They have complete control over the song - if they go off, the rest of the band goes off.
I've noticed that you still haven't done Hysteria yet! If you want to hear a ridiculous bass line, this is your next Muse track!
Great reaction guys!
Muse are very big fill all stadium s world wide
They are amazing live. Done.
One line: gigaparsec.
Its a unit of length in space as 1 billion parsecs.
I feel like Muse is a gigaparsec. Modern day Led Zeppelin, modern day Queen, modern day Rage Against the Machine and so on! They have such an amazing…”blend”, of music! So good live too! Thanks for doing this one, do more and never stop. Your vids are perfect and never change boys!
In case everyone else hasn't told you, they've been HUGE in almost every country but the US for about 20 years, topping charts, selling out stadiums, winning awards for both studio recordings and live performances. Not long ago I was having a conversation with my old head boss, he was asking who the actual rock icons would be these days. To me, the Foo Fighters are probably a close equivalent to The Rolling Stones, and Muse is like some combination of Zeppelin, Beatles, and Queen all in one.
Smokey is spot on. A conductor is the same thing as an airpilot. The plane flies itself on autopilot but the conductor still has to take it off and land it on its on and thats what a conductor does. He speeds and slows the orchestra. There are SO LANY minor tempo and dynamic changes within orchestral music that you hear but dont realize is controlled by the conductor. He controls volume of orchestral sections that may be playing competing parts. He also gives cues to players that have only small but important parts. An orchestral player is not going to follow along to sheet music that doesnt exist for them because the only sheet music in front of a player IS THEIR OWN INSTRUMENT, meaning it is impossible to follow ANYTHING besides your own notes. You’re gonna need to swallow the fat L on this one Hollywood.
Speed. Timing a lot of ESPECIALLY Metal bands have 1 song no matter speed of singer the BAND GO FASTER AND FASTER. KAMI BAND DO IT ON BABYMETAL ROAD OF RESISTANCE
It's truly amazing how each intricate part comes together to make the masterpiece but, if you think about it, each individual part on its own most likely would sound like 💩 but along with all the others is complete beauty!
Matt Bellemy is an incredible guitar player
One ofvthe best and most versatile.
@@jhamilton1007 lu et approuvé Matt génie
Tarja has done an amazing cover of this song, it's worth watching.
one line: Muse was prophecy to become much bigger, back when i was into them 20yrs ago!
Also, how have you not done Plug in Baby, yet 😲
Yeah gotta do Plug In Baby
Great guitar riff
Agreed this song must be done
I remember finding your channel a few months back and to be honest I was skeptical (I am an old cynic by nature) but I have to say I love how open you guys are to others genres other than rap, I love watching how you really get into Muse, Tool and others, keep up the great work fellas, I've even subscribed now
Idem abonnée depuis Muse et il sont très bons et réaliste en donnant leurs Annalyse très correct et juste
Tarja from nightwish live version takes this to another level
Motionless in White - masterpiece 🙏💯🔥
Muse is, hands down, the best live band I’ve ever seen. My husband is a 60 year old metal head, guitar player, who has been to more concerts than I even know, says the same thing about them.
Also, I love to trash talk with people! If I can dish it, I can take it 😂.
Septicflesh did a concert like that. 100 piece orchestra with a choir. Unbelievable concert. You wouldn't think it would work with a death metal band but man it's epic.
MUSE is HUGE in the USA but MASSIVE Globally. This performance is just an awards show and fairly true to the album version.
One of the coolest things about them is they are a three man band. They’ll bring in others here and there. But, they are talented to create that big of a sound with the three of them. Matthew Bellamy plays multiple instruments.
Of 100+ (maybe 200) bands I've seen live, Muse is, hands-down, the best one ever.
Ohh love the shirt. U gotta do FAITH and the muse
Tarja did an awesome version of this in her own style. It was absolutely killer!
I dare to say that version of Tarja is better just because her divine voice! It was absolutely killer indeed! You Should Chek it out!
Please react to Tarja Turunen's live cover of this Muse song. Tarja was the first vocalist for Nightwish. Her live performance of Supremacy is incredible.
EPIC
I can agree with everyone in the comments that this song was composed for a James Bond movie called Skyfall. The drummer went to the producers of Skyfall and said here is a song for this movie. But they denied that song. And gave it to Adele. This song would have been awesome for the movie. Maybe one day the James Bond franchise will have Muse as one of the soundtracks.
I heard a demo tape of Muse on a job site before they even released anything and I knew they would be huge!!I didn't even know who to compare them to because there is really no comparison!!! Then I found out that there were only 3 guys I was shocked
1 line... Muse has headlined Glastonbury 3 times!!!!
If you guys are in Atlanta, Muse are headlining Shaky Knees Music Festival in May next year. Y'all should go. I'd freak if I saw y'all in the crowd.
They’re huge enough to sell out two nights in a row in a same stadium everywhere they go during their world tours in the last 15 years.
If you want to get tickets, you better have to buy them the same day they put them for sale 😂
One liner: Muse on spotify has more monthly listeners than Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax COMBINED. Also. Plug in Baby will not disappoint, it was my introduction to them and still rocks hard.
An example of playing without a conductor is Clint Mansell - "Moon" - Fimucité 3
Wow, this is phenomenal 👍👍👍👍❤️💥💥
This songs astonishing. One of my favourites in the past decade. Muse are BBC.😂 Matt Bellamy would have oversaw the conduction beforehand during rehearsals (as he put it togetger for the album version) and if you watch him, he's doing it mid performance at times. The guy is a musical genius, overlooked by too many!
Say them live in London and it was incredible
Immeasurable!
Morning fellas! Wow! That was awesome! Great song great video! Great choice guys!👍🤓
best british export of the last 30 years
also was top 10 on rolling stones bands you must see live
This song was for a James Bond theme song, specifically, Skyfall. But Adele's was the one chosen. The song really has that Bond feel to it.
this is the best live band of last 20 years, specially considering big epic stadium type show. Yeah, the real deal.
MASSIVE
When you have 30 or 40 musicians, the absence of a conductor would be noticeable. All it takes is one violin to be off by a fraction and the experience changes, probably not for the best lol
A conductor is necessary to keep time and volume. Even when people know a piece, some may unintentionally speed up or slow down or not be at the right volume with the rest of the Orchestra. It just allows one person to interpret how a piece is played and the band follows that person’s interpretation.
I swear if they ever change the name of “The Volunteers” …😂🤣🙄😵💫🤐
Metallica S&M is one of my favourite all time albums. Please react to something from there. I can seriously recommend For whom the bell tolls. Amazing with the symphony.
Have you seen the trash talkers reaction to the good the bad the ugly cover by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra? I wasn’t aware that part of that is what Metallica used as their intro on the S&M album.
@@bgarmstrong1446 I'll definitely check it out. I watch most of their posts but one slips through every once in a while! Thanks!
Sold out the Roman Coliseum a few times
they are like linkin park big except in the US,matt arranged every string section you hear
Matt Bellamy can play every instrument that's ever existed it seems 🤣
Prediction: Hollywood would love "Sing for absolution" by Muse
🤣🤣🤣
this was the opening song to their 2013 world tour of their album "The 2nd Law", the world tour that introduced me to Muse. EDIT: Also the album version is a bit more timid yes, but the symphonic element is in the original. Side note, Muse share manager with Metallica, so they actually got offered that symphony gig, but declined, cause Metaliica did it first
Where souls come to dance…….❤
I'd love reactions to Assassin at The Mutan and Reapers from Cologne, both by Muse......obviously.
A great Bond 007 theme that never was 🎉🎉
Humbly ask for you to react to Helloween's "How Many Tears" live at Wacken in 2018, you won't be disappointed. Thanks guys!
I loved your cradle of filth t shirt!!!! Great reaction to a great song
Another Level!!!
This is muse’s Kashmir
If that is fully live I’d be surprised
MUSE = G.O.A.T
In the Sam category as Floyd
Great band, great song. On the conductor point. Many bands sing remakes of others peoples songs and in a slightly different style. With orchestral music it's kind of the same. Each conductor will have their own style so each version of the song (depending on the conductor) will sound a bit different.
About words getting negative connotation. It feels like "bad guys" has power to change the meaning of words and then "good guys" decide not to use "bad words". But I do not know any reverse example. Why good has no power?
Want to see a great heavy metal orchestra show.... Dimmu Borgir gents, trust.
Muse - dead star
Reaction,please😁🤘🤘🤘
Love you guys, you’re class the way you react to music. Please please please can you react to what I consider to be Muse’s greatest musical moment Exogenesis: Symphony Parts 1 through 3. Trust me guys you won’t regret it, it’s pure genius (and not what you will be expecting I suspect).
Yes, absolutely.
Lu et approuvé 👍👏🎸💖🙏
There’s an English slang phrase for “begging for a cigarette” that always freaks out Americans lol. I’ll let you Google it because I don’t want this comment removed. I agree words specifically created to be derogatory are wrong. Words that people later corrupt to become derogatory are not. I think I said in the comments on one of your previous vids, when someone takes offence to your usage of the word, “the” then we know we’ve f’d up as a species and should probably have our keys taken away as we can’t be trusted to look after ourselves. Saw muse live in 2007. They are every bit as epic face to face as they appear
If you search for a synphonic song from muse check the exogenesys symphony part 1-2-3 live
Epic!!!
This song was supposed to be a song for a Bond movie, I think Skyfall but they chose Adell. The bass line and lyrics to the song are all Bond. I’ve seen them twice & it’s a crazy show.
Epic!
Should do anything off the absolution album. Or anything pre 2009
They have had 3 different eras pre 2003 was heavy and shorter songs, 2004-2009 more progressive and heavier and post 2009 more pop like they mix some opera in on the resistance (2009) which is pretty cool.
It's the muse multiverse 🤣🤣🔥
Big time, big time. They are regularly voted best live band in the world
I used to think PC culture was society getting soft. Now I tend to see it more as a progressive movement of people caring how their actions affect their fellow people. Yes there are people who take it to the extreme, but for the most part it comes with good intention.
Greatest Band ever. Tied for my first spot in performances with Linkin Park no other bands like them.
Lu et approuvé
Best band ever
❤Muse❤
I am guessing you are in LA. I think they are playing The Wiltern pretty soon. Get tickets (if there's any still to be got)
Sold out im afraid
Supermassive
James Bond thème 🤘
Feels like a James Bond Theme
I'm British, we have people like Jimmy Carr. We are hard to offend! Unless you refuse tea, Queen, Muse, or jump a queue!
Muse is humongous in every country it seems besides the US, I mean - at the time Muse was coming out the market was not really for the high singing alternative rockers with soft piano parts and orchestra so it just never rly took off
React Muse Reapers Live! 💥
Sounds just like a bond theme tune
It's just MUSE there's not "the" in it, and MUSE could play to the entire universe and it still wouldn't be their biggest show
