Hello I was there in 2015 incredible Muse concert, I was already a Mise hard core fan then I became totally mad with 5 concerts this year, My biggest souvenir, and one in the antique Arena in Nîmes it was grandiose , these old stones made a gorgious sound
Yeah I am amazed always that its only 3 members to the band. Muse has such a huge sound its really surprising. Matt is simply a musical genius and it shows a lot, the most amazing thing is how he uses his vocals, he controls the volume and some of the vocal effects with his voice, he manipulates vowels so that it sounds the way it does, and he has perfect pitch. What I mean by doing his own effects is he leans in and out to control volume on the mic, he also swallows the mic so it overdrives the mic into break up and it distorts his voice for him (smart way of using distortion on a vocal). He is not post processing a lot of the stuff he does vocally. Plus he figures out riffs that sound good and can be played live very easily (its why you never see him sit down and play on a stool), every riff he has written has always had a "can I play this on stage" element to it and he works around that aspect. It shows he has incredible foresight. Everything they all seem to do is done in a way to make it fun and entertaining to the people they play for, and they plan it out very well. They really do keep their fans and their experience in mind. Great band.
Great reaction. This is one of the flagship songs of Muse, in the fanbase, not really in the "public eye". I also think this was the last world tour they've played this song. Love the uses of transitions in this song, it's in my opinion a hidden art and underrated. Its just not as apparent in this live version. I think Unnatural Selection is another great example of this. Where its just restricted in how many chords are used
incredible foresight on that band, they literally have a back catalog of songs that were so far ahead of their time they can still play them today and it sounds like it was written today and not 20 years ago. Muse is an amazing band.
I love how people this band just gets better with every listen. Some serious talent in all three members. Try Deadstar live at V fest or Microcuts live at hullabaloo
OMG phenomenal ce groupe Muse la voix Matt un génie merci react 👍👏😱🙏💖je veux le voir sur scène dingue OMG live vous avez raison il a une voix unique wouahhhh
I am sure you are now getting to understand the thrill of listening to any track this band produces . I never know what im gonna hear but I know that its gonna be a musical journey that does not subscribe to any other format/genre and will draw my eardrums in and make my imagination soar!!
I really love how Dom looks when playing Citizens Erased. Especially at BDO 2004. Tbh that’s probably my favorite performance of Citizens that I’ve seen so far. They’re just absolutely awesome there
Just been going through your Dave Muse Reaction playlist having been lucky enough to be there personally for most of these gigs, to relive them for the first time through someone elses eyes has been so tremendously enjoyable. Having grown up under my fathers classic rock collection from Floyd, Zeppelin, Who, Genesis, Fleetwood Mac, ELO, Tool, Van Halen, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins. Muse is the ultimate culmination of all of these fantastic bands you reference. Truly they are one of a kind live, and their performances speak to the power of hearing a record out of the studio the little flaws and idiosyncrasies that come with that. As a non religious person seeing them live is as close to a religious experience that I can really have.
It should be noted while this footage is from 2015, this song is from 2001! Also this 7 string guitar is only for this single song. EDIT: I totally forgot: It's (another) also, the song is from great trio of thematic songs being Citizen Erased, Resistance and United States of Eurasia, which deals with a human living in a totalitarian manipulated society where free individuality [state approved message: exists]
Hysteria + Munich Jam at roskilde 2015 Dom and Chris do a little drum and bass Matt going bzrk backstage Its only 9 minutes 😊 Munich Jam is also found separate you might commented on hysteria already 👍🏻
Hi Justinto! Here is Dave's reaction to Darkshines, but another venue/performance ruclips.net/video/9Zes3sNHN0g/видео.html Thanks for the song suggestion!
Hi Lee! Here is Dave's reaction to The Handler, but from a different venue. ruclips.net/video/JQXSQpN4im0/видео.html Thanks for the song suggestion. =)

Muse as a Band are Incredible no Doubt but Matt has to be One of the Most Talented Musicians of All Time.

About the drummer. He’s left handed. That’s why he isn’t crossing over.
This is muse personified.
Since Queen, the best Band of the World. Saw Them 3 Times. With Love from Germany
Ive seen muse twice, portland each time. 2013 and just earlier this year 2023, april.
"For a live it's pretty flawless vocals." - welcome to Muse my friend :)

@@brendon1470 lucky. Seen em 4 times, still yet to hear them play this.
@@blissken1 I’ve seen them 18 times and have still never gotten CE. I’ve missed it by one gig on 3 separate occasions. Pain.
Beautiful song, released in 2001 ahead of its time and genius, and now they are doing remixes of their best album for it's 20th anniversary

This song ends like: "and then it kicks in.". Where the 'it' is your substance of choice. I love this song. Favorite from MUSE.
Thanks Dave. Micro cuts and Muscle museum live from hullabaloo please, Dave loves the energy of early Muse

MUSE is just insane!
They played this on the Drones tour in DC in 2016. Took me, and I think a lot of others there, totally by surprise.
Muse are like rock opera- one of the greatest live acts of all time 🥰🥰🥰
I really love how Dom looks when playing Citizens Erased. Especially at BDO 2004. Tbh that’s probably my favorite performance of Citizens that I’ve seen so far. They’re just absolutely awesome there
"Like a steak" is one of the best ways I've heard Muse music described.. Seared on the outside, juicy on the inside lol.
