First drive in my CHEAP E92 BMW 335i

  • Ride with me for the first drive in the CHEAP 2007 E92 335i I just bought. We head to the local DMV to register it and then drive it to a local Indy shop for an inspection and to check out some cool antique cars. Let me know in the comments what mods I should do to this N54. Im new to this platform! Thanks for watching!

    2.5k I definitely he'll of a steal. You can actually remove turbos with out dropping subframe. Have to take out passenger side engine mount and jack engine up ever so slightly to angle engine upward and you can pull front n rears out plus reinstall. Shaft play on friends unit is normal usually theirs oil pressure thay would make it have less movement. Definitely weld the Westgate flapper to bushing it will return if ya don't lol
    I suggest doing an old school oil flush. Usually people don't do proper timing oil change internals. Minimizing sludge .. Carbon intake clean for sure. Catch cans for both hi/lo vacum line rb catch can kit . Clutch might be able to hold stg2 power so you can see..stg1 if does. Mhd ver 5 is the kill map for stockers. Suggest heavier weight oil 5w40.
    Once you complete with throughing everything on.
    Replace connecting rod bearing. King Bearings
    Also Ac Delco fuel injection (dodge bottle) soak piston rings prone to carbon build up with DI system n poor crank vent design.
    So be soild from there definitely bring that paint back with a stg1 correction n interior clean. Good luck

      Thanks a lot for the info. I ended up getting those turbos from my buddy and found out theyre actually upgraded with Td04 internals I believe he said and of course the billet wheel. After inspecting them myself I agree the shaft play isnt too bad and im just going to replace/ adjust wastegates before install. His 535 pulled really hard with them.

    Would love to see some E30 content, also wouldn’t mind some advice on a similar build, do you think I could run stock tune on a stroker motor with the same turbo kit? What do you need to do to the idle?

      Id be weary of increasing the compression on an m20 and then adding boost with no tune. Ive just been lucky with mine i think lol as far as the idle goes the stock dme just adapted to the slightly large injectors and it idles like stock.
