The colors of the bike hurt meh physically
No joke I was looking at this and a Ducati super sport 😂😂
Yammie can you grab a Honda X ADV 750 and tell us what's that all about
Cause to me that's the weirdest thing iv ever see
🔥
Hell yea 🔥🔥
Oh my god, after mentioning how the ninja 650 sounds like a lawnmower, and he said "Here's the ninja 650's exhaust sound" I literally got an add for a lawnmower loooool.
I had one, it sounded like a waverunner. It was in blue too so it fit.
Idk, to me they sound exactly the same.
@@lukej4143 same anyone else?
Everyone hates so much lmao with the right exhaust they sound a lot better. Videos don't do them justice
This is what the R7 needs to aspire to be
The R7 will likely be the Sport version of the MT-07 with same engine and equipements.
Like the Ninja 650 and the Z650.
They can still surprise us.
But cheap
@@Josh-cw8by They can't do anything serious with the MT-07 engine. But they can make something great based on the R6 and they should. It seems Aprilia and Ducati are breaking new ground. It's a good thing because Supersport doesn't work anymore outside the track.
International sales are catastrophic.
I don’t want another beginner bike I want a Yamaha 600cc supersport dammit
STAY AWAY FROM HIS GARBAGE.. Canoli 600s or 1000s are UNRELIABLE AF. Pretty Yes and THATS IT.
I was looking at getting an R6 but the Aprilia caught my eye a couple months ago and I’m starting to lean heavily towards the RS660, it’s just so beautiful
The R6 is designed for the race but can be used on the road, the RS660 is designed for the road but can be used on track.
It depends on what do you expect from a bike.
For a daily use, the R6 doesn't seem to be the right choice.
I was about to get a ZX6R just before they announced the RS660 that's what I already wanted.
I agree as an R6 owner! How many track days are you actually gonna have in a year? Prolly not too many! I really like this platform and I can't wait to test ride one to see what it's actually all about.
@@dannydopamine2744 If you do so, can you repost a comment here?
@@dannydopamine2744 yes, just buy a scooter- for everyday ride its 90% will suit your need than :) :) - i cat believe people even compare this moped to R6!!
There is a really simple awnser to the oil problem, some European brands put a thicker Oil in their motorcycle which is changed in the 1000km Inspektion, it helps to drive in the engine.
Rider: Hey, I wan't to buy a new bike.
Yam: *Execute order 660*
We need the "So You Want an Aprilia..." video
Ah, Aprilia
You've been on my mind girl since the flood
Ah, Aprilia
Heaven help a fool who falls in love
Still sounds like a quad, like my Ninja 650. I hate it at idle, but at 3-5k rpms, under load it opens up to a growl and I love it
You're on the pulse Yammi! lovin the video feeds. Love your work!
I love this guys videos so much that i just picked up my first bike and gear. Been doing lots of research as well. So thanks yammie 😘
I would think this bike would be even more sought after for club racing because the classes (LWT twins, sv650, MT07 class) this bike is far above its competitors! Super excited for your track day breakdown! I want to make this my race bike.
I mean the title gives it all away, who wouldn't want one....
Pure love and adrenaline.
I'll grab mine with the Akrapovic racing line on April the 15th, can't wait!
I'm so excited to see the future of these 660's and what other new add ons they decide to add but it really seems like it doesn't need anything else besides a new exhaust and tune
Yes, yes I do. One of the bikes that's highest on my list for a new bike. Though I'm wondering if I should hold off a year to see what the Tuareg will offer.
I did so much research and I just purchased the 2022 limited edition red, white , and blue. Can’t wait to get her on the track and then take her to my second house in the Smoky Mountains near the Tail of the Dragon. Thx for the review!
Oh boy the new aprilia rs660 is gorgeous, has everything I ask for and even more and is the perfect choice after my yamaha r3, and this video just got me hyped even more, it's gonna be hard wait until October...
yep! the only good comment- aprilia is only to go after r3; but compared to other 60cc - its a moped
I really like this bike, I would love it if it was like 2k cheaper with only the Quickshifter.
beautiful
awesome
im still dreaming to own one of this bike
but still
its just a dream
godbless sir
ridesafe always
I'm one of those few folks out there cross-shopping a Ducati Supersport and the RS660. Both seem like great bikes for a Sportbike Dad who still wants to look cool, but travel long distances.
I love the value and features that you get with the RS660. The Supersport is missing features that the RS660 comes with, which is strange since it is more expensive. But at the same time, I think I like the Panigale-inspired looks more.
Ah, what to do, what to do...
Crossed shopped the RS660 and Supersport as well. No regrets with the RS660 so far
white ss 950s!
Did you ever make your decision? I’m at that crossroads right now.
@@davids4110 I got my RS660 3 weeks ago, no regret at all.
Papa yam, I love that you acknowledged the similarities with the ducati supersport! Very 'close' in power, farkles, and MSRP. The displacement is different but the ethos I think is similar-ish. My problem with the supersport is the riding position is total ass, turned me off from the bike immediately. Sitting on it was almost like the handlebars were in my lap with my back being far too upright and straight, almost like I was riding a TTR125 with my balls up on the gas tank. I could hardly tuck in regular clothes, no way I could tuck in a suit! Trash! I recently got to sit on an RS660 (no test rides sadly, dealer called me to tell me they got one in each colorway, I had to wait just 1 day to be able to stop by, and they were already sold!) and thought the riding position was much more sporty, yet comfy on the back, but still be able to tuck chin to the tank. For reference, I am just about Spite sized; 6' 2.5", 230lb / 105kg, 34" inseam, 83.5" reach (as measured like in boxing).
Yeah this happens to be the new dream for sure LETS GET IT
Ordered one, hopefully coming early april and can't fucking wait
Cheers I was really curious about whether i should get a Ducati or an aprilia next!
Good bike and nice package for beginner.
you should try my daily driver the Aprilia rsv4 I luv it on track , but on the street it's a bit much
Oh good you watched that Fort Nine video, now about your last few Royal Enfield videos.
@Sega HangOn As someone who actually owns bikes and doesn't just talk about them online. Does anyone know anything about RE? other than what this chuckle head says about them being POS(yes older single iron barrel from the past 20-30 years are not reliable.) has yammy ridden one...nope. are there people with 30K+ on them(with out issue) in country's that a R1 would actually fall apart going down the road on..yep.
this is my first bike from a tw200. its fast and easy to ride. its my daily driver i make a 150 mile road trip with it every weekend. no complaints here.
I have a 2024 CFMOTO 450SRS (my first bike), but I keep going back and lusting over the Aprilia RS660! I think I might upgrade to the RS660 (the restricted version) and once I'm off my restricted license, I'll get the ECU flashed to release all the glorious RS660 HP.
My little baby, she's such cute one, waiting for the good weather.
Ooof that sound comparison was actually very close lmao
Both sound like shit 😆 I'll take a CBR650R in the class, sorry, not sorry
@@Josh-cw8by I just picked an RS 660 up this weekend. It sounds a lot better once you get past about 6k RPM. Maybe doesn’t sound as good as a 4 cylinder, but it definitely sounds better then a cookie cutter parallel twin.
@@Josh-cw8by I just read that there's rumors of a Ninja 700r with similar power to this bike to replace the Ninja 650. It's still going to be a parallel twin though. I'll have to see it but I'm still thinking Honda in this class
Don't think it came through allt that well, the purr and feel of her sure is different to most of the others you could compare it to. She make me bounce and dance whilst riding, ain't big brother rsv4, but you sure know there siblings.
That bike looks perty, DO WANT
Since I saw your first video on it I love this bike. Really wish I was in a better financial situation so I could pick it up. Might have to happen someday..
Gotta make it happen by any means necessary. I’m paying off $2000(yes $2,000) worth of credit card debt next thursday that was costing me $160 a month to bring down my total debt so I can afford the payments, insurance, and maintenance on my future toy 😅. Hope you can get it done man! The bike looks soliddddddd.
Do a review on the Ducati SuperSport that’s what I want to get going to trade in my R3 for it hopefully
Dear Yammie ure talking about Foot Pounds and write Newton Meters ;) 49nm of torque is kinda lowish ^^ for the rest we love you dont worry hahah
CBR650R does it for me. Im from India and the Aprillia is crazy pricy cus of taxes. Hope Honda brings it through CKD and keep the price low.
ZX6r sound and engine characteristics is enough to finish off this comparison, unless you are not adrenaline junkie :p
Wanted to get one of these pretty bad but there's people that already have broken ones so changed my mind on that idea
Yammie would you choose the rs660 or the z900, never been to the track and currently ride a 2019 Z650
i wish they put a classic 600cc supersport sound on this bike... like zx6-r, cbr600, gsxr 600,
love how you have to compare the rs660's exhaust note to a big lawn mower when we all know neither of them can touch the godly sounds the mt07 and sv650 make
RS660 exhaust gave me goosebumps
The other day i saw the vomit yellow/green rs660, it’s BEAUTIFUL in person!! A sculpture
Yammie make a video on the royal Enfield interceptor 650
That color scheme 🤤
You bet your sweet ass I do. Alternatively, the Tuono 660 is a thing, so I'd happily take either one in any color way save for black.
Question from euro squid here: I want to join the discord but like i said dont live in the us so cant sign up for the giveaway. What do i do?
Currently riding my first bike that’s older than I am... can’t even imagine owning an aprilia
It's fantastic! I have 3 and adore them all!
Yo I want a 10 dollar bet 🥵, my friend said next video about the RS660 would be the exhaust system and I said it would be "so you want an Aprilia RS660" , 10 dollas on da pocket, thanks papa yam👌
I’d have bought one for my second bike, but there isn’t any Aprilia dealers in Alaska unfortunately. West coast US is the closest. So looks like I’ll have to settle for getting an R7 after this
I like how he didn’t even mention royal enfield winning the oil test from fortnine. I really would like to see a royal enfield on papa yams channel.
Get Papa Yam a Meteor for review!

Japanese bikes never break of course. So that’s a mute point.
Yep I think I need one.
Have you heard about the new hayabusa?
Hey yammie! Can you compare the 675 to the rs660?
imagine if Aprilia made the RS660 V4 660cc that would have been awesome
its the v4 motor with the rear 2 cylinders cut off.
Or an RS1000V4 even....?
Oh wait... 🥳😋
I agree with your suggestion of two RS 660s. In my opinion, at $8,000 USD, the Triumph Trident allegedly puts out almost as much power and about the same torque and seems like a much better buy. I get that it doesn't have Brembos, adjustable suspension, and crazy electronics, but like you said . . . who really needs all that? Again, in my opinion, the $3,500 USD savings with plenty of every-day useful options makes the Trident a much better option. However, a more affordable RS 660 with lighter features at a lower price might change my mind.
@6:02 It is a great beginner bike because beginners aren't created equally and some of them are willing to go all-in at their first motorcycle - money being no object. ;)
yes, aprilia is only for beginners
It would look good next to my CBR650F
Daddy Yam, Pound-Feet is lb.ft. Nm is Newton-Metres which is the metric unit, the superior unit >:)
People are reporting cracks in the main engine casing, the swing arm is connected directly to the back of the engine and it seems like it might be a weak spot😬
Where did you get that ? I can't seem to find this anywhere. Thanks.
i also depends on the country / continent you live on. I think for swiss supermotos are the best to ride sporty :D
Damn that's a really really nice bike tho
CBR600 F4I was the OG sporbike that wouldnt kill your back and still perform
Everyone seems to avoid comparing the rs660 with the 890duke for some reson
It’s almost like you made this video just for me hahaha
Not cheap here in Australia, looking at around $18500 to $19000 Aussie dollars.
Interesting my 650r sounds different than both those bikes. Deeper with more pop
Is there many rs 250 or rs 125 2stroke in America probs not cos you all just hop on 600s strait away dont know the struggle of driving a 50cc at 16
Think you’ll like it better than the new trident?
Yammie no bike give for your up north over the boarder biking brother's. What's up with that
5.10 Definitely agreed. Also the can lower the price
Yammie can you grab a Honda X ADV 750 and tell us what's that all about
Cause to me that's the weirdest thing iv ever see
Are the giveaways still unavailable to the Floridians?
New full system exhaust on the way?
Where’s the trident vid yam?
I saw many people having problems with leaking oil on their rs660. Can somebody say if this bike is reliable?
Think we will get to see a new cbr650r or cbr600rr on the Channel?
I give this italian steed top slot for one year until the r7 comes out in 2022.
Yammie, I love this bike but I cannot connect my phone to it. I have a 2021 S1000 RR and it connects easily to my phone. I assumed it would connect more or less the same way with the BMW app. I know Aprilia has an app called MIA which I downloaded on my phone but I can't seem to make it work. HELP!!!!!!!!!
Ridden motocross my entire life wonder if this bike would be a good road bike
Side by side unbiased comparison against the zx6r now
What happened with the rear seat cowl it was shown with?
The RS 660 could really have captured the 600s super sport and the 600 sport bike market if only it would have come with a V 4 600 , however that being said it’s a good bike but buying it seriously you are left wondering where does it actually fit in?
Thats messed up 😝 was that a picture of boogie the RUclipsr?
Why do the visuals keep saying newton meters while the voiceover says foot-pounds? Which one is correct?
The narration is correct. Those numbers in Nm are pathetically low.
Now tell us all about the 475 that’s coming out
I've been wanting the RS660 from the very beginning, and when I finally got the money to buy one, I ended up buying a Yamaha R1! I couldn't help it, I wanted the raw power knowing damn well I'd be more comfortable on the Aprilia RS 660!!
Lol I’m in the same boat, new 660, or older s1000rr
@@TheSteinbitt I got the R1, I don’t regret at all! I’m in love with it’s raw power bro!
😂
Good luck, just don't crush it ;)
How would you compare this to a Daytona 675?
Just got mine this weekend. Man, I'm in love. Agile, light and enough power to get you into trouble. I was doing 80 in a 55 w/out knowing.
I just pass my test(first time rider) and looking at this bike, do you still love it.
I am also interested in your opinion about this bike. How is it after 1y? You still have it? Still love it?

@@musicjnky1982 awesome. I really needed to hear that. I'm still not sure but I'm leaning towards this bike. Another question if I may, do you use it frequently?
I'm planning to use it also for commuting, pretty much daily. That's why I'm not sure. Thanks mate
@@ricardog4459 I use it 2-3 times a week as a commuter, depending on the weather. It's great because you're not all hunched over like you would be in other sport bikes like a Ninja 636 or R6 or even a Ducatti V2. It's really comfortable.
This is going to be my first bike as a baby squid yet to pass my tests.
Fr tho I bought a ninja 300 as my first bike. I love every single detail about that bike but it just sounds so eh. Literally want to upgrade to a GSXR 600 eventually mostly just for better exhaust noise...
Gonna finally finish my A2 license in 2 months or so and when I get my A license in 2 years I'm definitely gonna look at a rs660 first
Its a shame they don't advertise it as 93 hp so you could make it A2 compatible.

I was kinda hoping for it to be more of a Supersport as well, but after thinking about it I'm kinda glad they did it like they did cause the 600 I have seems to be too much for the street at times and this seems to be a great cruiser with alot more power then any other bike in its class

What’s the maintenance cost and like for this bike? I’m seriously about to buy one but I heard the maintenance is “high-ish”. Like, wtf does that actually mean?! Also, I heard that there’s a leak issue with them. Papa Yam, HELP!!
Question - You say this bike isn't for a beginner. I get that but there is also a 35kw version that Aprilia has released. Is that version ok for a beginner and can you just do a software update to get it to the full power version later when you feel ready for it?
soft only. and yes, its good for beginner- compared to my gsx-r 600 - aprilia is like a moped 35kw version
