Alright, yeah... I love this bike. It's a sweetheart. Wish I could keep it. Go to www.yammienoob.co to win it!
No one:
Rear brake : baby seal noises
U forgot to pin lol
Try scalpel
Maybe you'll be getting a Tuono 660 for keeps then?
I love bike give me this 😍😍😭
*watches FortNine's new video* Wow Italian bikes are awful.
*watches Yam's new video* Wow where can I buy three of these?
Hahaha
I would gladly deal with a dirtier bike if this is said dirtier bike. At least Aprilia was still cleaner than Ducati. lol
Yea remember to keep in mind his words "this is a very small sample collection". I owned an Aprilia for 4 years, most reliable bike I can imagine. This RS660 seems to be quite a beasty bike, and Aprilia in general have solid mechanical reliability
just change the oil every 4k-5k km instead of 10k, you should be ok
I literally just watched the FortNine video too 😂😂
I bought my RS 660 two weeks ago and I have the same issue with the rear brake. But I love the bike... and I really enjoy riding it. 10/10!!
I dont have this bike nor work on them but Try loosening the rear axle nut, then retorque it. Same with the rear brake caliper bolts. (I had that issue on my lil Ninja 250R from factory looong time ago)
Your videos have been really great in helping me out to filter down the bikes that I will choose from for my next bike. I've been riding for 20 years (jeez I'm old enough to say that...) and even at 38, and having owned dozens of motorcycles, including racing motocross when 2 strokes were the end all be all, I take your commentary seriously, because you view these bikes through more experienced eyes than you actually have. Very mature perspective, and now I am happy to have narrowed my choice to a Tuono v4, Yamaha MT10.... The opposites of the hypernakeds, I guess, or the RS660. Two budget conscious choices and one ego pumper.
LOL. Keep up the great videos.
Wonderful video my guy! It's currently my 1st riding season starting out on a ninja 400, and I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger on this bike next season. Hopefully the 22 models have some more color options!
One thing that gets a bit overlooked is just how confidence inspiring this bike is for the rider …. It just FEELS RIGHT… agile AND stable… it commands its path.
I love the bike and plan on getting one. But not a fan of the McDonald’s spec.
Gives it american vibe
I’ll take ya to Don’s
@Lance Brown You can always buy a second fairing kit for 500$ and keep the stock one fresh. Then paint it custom as you would like.
@@kungfukenny4439 $500? That's cute.
@@vector6977 Glad you found it cute. Plain white non sprayed kits don't go for much. Then you can properly choose a custom color.
Im just enjoying the fact that there is a new 600 option out there looking and souding absolutely lovely.
Picking mine up on Saturday. So excited. Great review✌🏼
Congrats. Which colour did you go for?
I hope you do an on-track review of this bike. It looks like a lot of fun!
Yesss, the on bike review and impression😍😍😍
I think you nailed your explanation of why the April RS 669 just makes sense. I love fully faired bikes but I don’t want most of them because they are too track oriented. The ninja 650 is a great option but it’s nice to have other options.
God damn it Yammie, I am going to have 10+ motorcycles on my wishlist because of you.
Golden video! Couldn't have been more pristinely produced. 🏍️
Thanks! Rode this thing as a rental after my MSA, I do not have much in a way of a comparison for now - ridden only a few 125s, 300s and MT-07 for the exam, but it did feel approachable, wasn't tiring at all.
Seems like a solid little commuter. A little mods i think it could reach the same speed as regular 600's.
Another good Review. Keep up the good work!
Yammie, you’re the reason I now constantly lust after motorcycles. Thanks for helping me find yet another expensive hobby lol.
Too bad I can’t afford a bike rn 😭😭😭
I’m dying for this bike 🤘🏼 great content my friend
Love the vids dude keep it up.
Thanks for the impressions! It reminds me of a smaller Ducati V2... I am genuinely interested in the RS660
Got one on order, should be here in July!
Nice!!! Another video on the RS660, schwing!!!
11:50 love that sound!
20:25 That SUV! Great work not even breaking a sweat Yam!
Everyone:
THE OIL MUST BE BAD
Me:
54 world titles? Haven't they had that sticker for 5 or 6 years now?
@@AngelSapundzhiev Nothing really, just thought I saw 55 or 56 at first. Was surprised to see it's still 54. Was ready to party for team Aprilia hahaha
@@AngelSapundzhiev Agreed!
Well... thats bc kawi is winning everything right now. Never go full kawi bc you never go back
Papa Yam is never goin' to stop simping for the Daytona.
Almost sounds like a crossplane r1 or a tamer v4. Unreal... best sounding parallel twin I've ever heard.
I would call that color Nuclear Green... I LOVED that color on the Old Triumph Speed Triples !!! It looks great on this Motorcycle too !
I agree with Yam regarding an SP version. Part of my reason to get a litre bike, was that it came with all the bells and whistles. Happy to be corrected, I believe with most manufacturers, if you want their most technologically advanced bike it will be a litre bike. A mid sized bike with carbon fibre fairings, Ohlins suspension, and the electronics, would be attractive to a reasonable number of people I believe.
Great review
Murica, trucks and jeeps everywhere. Love it.
It’s in my Italian blood to own one. I was force fed ravioli and meatballs my entire childhood for a reason.
Sounds horrible 😋
@@itsbuddhaone If I didn’t finish my food, I was forced to sit on the step leading up to my bedroom for a half hour. The least Lord Rossi could do is grant a complimentary bike to the Baranello blood line
@@drewmoto732 how you doin paisan, did you get your dream Aprilia yet?
@@CHURCHISAWESUM ☹️☹️☹️
I love the stock sound of that bike.
Have an 05 Fz6, grabbing a wr250r today this will be the bike I grab near the end of the season or early fall. Can’t wait.
I agree with you they should have made two versions. I'm not a fan of all the electronic assist stuff and I wouldn't want to pay extra for it. It looks like a fun bike though, maybe I can pick one up used some day in a few years.
I wanna get my licence and this bike makes the most sense for a super sport I’ve seen as a second bike
I still want a goldwing. I'll just squid vicariously through you and Spite, Papa Yams
Nice first review Yam. Get mine in a few weeks. Don't fit ur demographic. I'm 72 and it's like my sixth bike. Did a little club racing back in the day. Haven't ridden since 2011 at CSS (all 4 levels). Just want back in the game. Keep it coming.
Picking mine up tomorrow ❤️ still cold in Sweden, but hey I'll just have it in my living room for now.
Can I pick you up today 😘
Congrats. Which colour did you go for?
Definitely purchasing over next summer . Currently learning on a 94 Honda Cbr 600
absolutely love my ninja 400 KRT, but I do plan on buying one of these so I hope I fall in love with it as much as I did with my Ninja400.
Great video
Don't know how they found Spite too. Two great presenters who are enjoyable to listen to. Now give us UNLIMITED BUSA POWER!
I love what aprilia and yamaha are doing with the twin sport bikes. Now something else im DYING for are more triple cylinder bikes like the daytona 675r or something like an R9.
I love the Black/Red and Blue/Red/Black version of this bike.
I was wondering how they'd address the turn signals on the NA version of this bike since I heard we weren't legally allowed to have the cool integrated turn signals in the headlights that the Euro version has. I feared it would get stuck with ugly halogens sticking out the side like so many NA bikes get stuck with, but I'm happy to see Aprilia chose to go with integrated mirror turn signals instead. Good save Aprilia. I like mirror turn signals just about as much as their integrated headlight signals. A spicy $14,300 north of the border though......I still want it.
Did you end up biting on one? I am tomorrow and I also have to decide to stomach that "North of the border" price but I have decided it will be more than worth it in the end.
@@Blottski I ultimately settled on a Husky 701 sumo, which funny enough, is another bike with a ridiculous hard-to-swallow price tag for what it is. I decided I wanted to try something different from a sports bike, ergo wise.
ye but now cant change the mirrors, or well, u could, but then the wires?.. an signals?.
@@ribalderr6052 The wiring for the mirrors was easy to undo if one wanted to. They were connected via positaps, which can be easily undone any time.
@@Gofr5 suppose Id leave it really, cos then have to find covers, an what where for mirrors, theyre not hideous like jumping out at u, at least there not on a post sticking out the side right? lol.
Great review & a very nice bike as well. I even don't mind the acid gold colour lol. The only thing that would stop me buying it is that I want to see if they do a Factory spec next year. Although if not I would be happy to have this version & mod the suspension, especially the rear shock. There's a couple of nice Ohlins shocks & Andreani fork cartridges out for it already which are supposed to be transformative & really complete the package.
Think 🤔 I'm going to start listening to classic piano rifts while riding this season
this is really one of the most beautiful bikes I've ever seen
Can’t wait to get this as a beginner bike
I’m torn between the r7 or the 660😩
Nice - thanks Papa Yam
Cool bike. I think it’s dumb that some are putting it in the same class as the Trident. I’m really looking forward to your review of the Trident! I’ve ordered one and actually am first on the reserved list at my dealer here in MN! Still waiting for delivery! Spring is here and I’m jonesin’!! Any idea in when you’ll get yours? (I think you’ve said you ordered one? )
Nice. You'll probably never miss the extra power you'd have up north of 10k RPM on a 600 supersport.
I love the Acid Gold color. My first bike is a Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, so I wanted to break away from the drab look and go full flashy.
My fist and current bike is a CB500f. I've been looking at the 660 Tuono for a second bike and if it is as good as the RS then I am 100% sold
The color looks great..
Hello Yammie Noob, nice video!
Yam please make a video on the RPM act
My neighbor literally just got the exact same bike, can confirm it’s amazing
When’s the review on Tuono 660, when’s the review on RS660 Trofeo?
I haven't wanted another bike as bad as I do now. My all time dream bike has been a Daytona 675R, but sadly I never got my hands on one. This thing has me just as excited and just as in love! I will definitely be getting this bike as my 2nd.
Well the frame and swing arm look like they've been taken from the RS250 from 2000 with a twee, .bless u Yammie, you're squidding over that thing like a teenager! Btw You just described any pointy SV 650 from 2002 onwards in terms of handling, stability ergonomics and with a bit of fiddling and a tune to around 90+HP. It is a thing of beauty the Priller. The 250RS was surprisingly comfortable on the day to day too but I was a bit younger back then!
Loved the handle bar. This bike seems like ducati monster 696 with fairings
I would have liked to have seen your side on profile on the bike when you went back to the shop.
Sounds like a great beginner's bike!
Ayy Jimmaay whens the one mil coming budday
Yammie, with the different functions, couldn't this be an ideal bike that a new rider grows into? Set the controls to maximum safety (for lack of a better descriptor) and as your skill increases the controls are loosened.
thats what I want to know, I have been riding 6 months on a Honda 650f, this is my dream bike but I don't know if I am ready to move up even though I feel I am ready to move up already
Whould you chose this bike over a triumph street triple? Nice videos man👌🏻
Hey Yammie, is there any way we could have some times on 0-60, 0-120 etc? Im really curious and looking forward to seeing the numbers. Love the vid!
Plz talk about and bring awareness to the EPA and the RPM act. It will not only effect cars but motorcycles too!
Already subscribed for the intermediate giveaway! Hope I win this baby! Love the vids yam!!
This thing screams quality!
I wish I could ride....got about 2 feet of snow up here in Colorado.
please make a video explaining the differences between this one and the v2
5:37 well considering that I managed to wheelie my duke 125 I’d say anything can wheelie if you have the skill to do so.
My man is scaring me on those turns lol
Its crazy that you are giving this away but craiglist s3 anytime soon?
In the UK the Triumph Street Triple RS and KTM 890 Duke R are within £200 of the price of this 660 ... both have a fair chunk more power and torque, higher quality suspension and brakes and far more comfortable ergonomics ...
I LOVE the purple color, I've been hoping for a really good purple colored bike. I would liek to see a Purple / Gray or silver.
Could you powder coat the wheels bright silver for us please. Do a vid to show what it takes 👍
Never road a sports bike, but this looks sexy. Saw the new BUSSA last night, any thoughts Yammie? Looks like the old, but more balanced.
highways in texas are notorious for riders doing long fast straight pulls and doing steady speeds of 170 plus.
Great review. But when are you going to do a comparison of the ZX-14R and Busa. Im sure you'll like that ZX-14R over the bush lol
I agree with so many things you said. "People still want full faired sport bikes" : YES! I also wish there was an SP version with top spec suspension, the engine's probably plenty powerful to have fun on the daily.
I have been riding for 15 years. My daily rider is a zx6r. You can't even use the power of a 400cc sport bike legally on the street. Don't spend alot of money just to be cool
My bike is also a ZX-6R and I absolutely love it. It's interesting to see these slightly less powerful sport bikes becoming a thing though.
I paid 7k for a 2015 zx6r with zero miles on it with full factory warranty. Even got store credit for helmet and jacket. Yes some of the bolts and the gas cap lock shows evidence of 5 years in a crate but its a killer way to buy a bike * i bought it last year and put 5k miles on it
I think I'm starting to develop a slight crush on this, if not bike then platform..?
Can’t wait for the RS 457 first ride video 🎉
Yam, could you please not call this a “little” sportbile? Better to call the 200hp death machines “absurdly large” or “bloated”, or “over powered”. The 660 is a true sportbile evoking an era when sport bikes were fun and manageable.
Absolutely absurd.... I’m guessing either you don’t have a bike or ride a scooter...
Feeling a bit insecure about our choice in bikes are we? It’s an A2 bike in Europe, it’s designed to keep beginners and young guys a bit out of trouble. It IS a little sports bike, and I love it and will probably get one, as I’m not experienced enough to fully enjoy the big bikes. Nothing wrong with that.
Wish you would film more close ups of your bikes ....
Thank you for the video. In your comparison video you said this probably is not a beginner bike. Do you still believe it?
hey bro thanks for the great content i had a rsv4 loved it a bit to the higher side position and budget wise then i had a r6 track bike i lloved it but felt it was a bit on the lower side of power if you would compare power delivery between rs660 r6 and rsv4 how would you rate it of course rsv4 is at first but witch one gets second the r6 or rs660 in power on the bottom end and top end of rev lines
Yam what are you going to do as we all know you like an exhaust and tail tidy are we about to see a new fabrication series🤔🤔
I have a Buell XB9 And love it more than anything but I know eventually I will not be able to find parts for it. So I’ve been looking at an Aprilia Tono V4 1100. But I kind of think you’ve just changed my mind
Can you make some shots from the old sanctuary?
I am head-over-heels in love with this bike but I know I'm still not entirely ready for it (still a new rider, thanks for hooking me on this expensive hobby lol)
Maybe next year I'll have the balls to double my HP
Same i’ve got a 2017 honda cbr500r. Just started riding about 2 weeks ago and have about 400 miles/experience under me. I’ve dropped my bike like 3 times already but it’s nothing im crying over. Except for the last Friday when I slipped on some type of oil/fluid. But it’s definitely an experience I can learn from on a cheaper bike as opposed to going through it on a more expensive bike. Can’t wait to get this in like a year or 2. Stay safe man!
@@anjalogomez6583 Trust me, that is worth it. I have a 2013 CBR500R and dropped it once on my leg (accidentally turned around too slow in the mountains). Didn't cry over it. Worth learning and growing on the 500 and upgrading later!! I spent 5 years on my 500 and am upgrading to the RS 660 now.
Yammie do a ducati supersport comparison or review please
I am enamored with this intro
I had put a deposit down on a Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer after deciding this was probably too much for my second bike, but on a whim decided to go and test ride it. And it was at that moment that I knew what had to be done.
I pick up the RS 660 on Friday.
So, 2 years later, any ragrets?
When the intro started roling my poor swedish brain though you had the acceleration in km/h so i acctually though the 660 had the acceleration of a scoter
Dam I bet the factory fitted akra sounds ballistic on this !!
I wanna see a comparison of this and a ducati supersport
