Have a RS 660 as my daily commute and have also completed 500+ mile in 1 day, not on freeways...great overall bike. The only gripes are 1. fuel tank capacity, could do with an extra gallon. Range limited to 140ml per tank. 2. front suspension is not good with bumps and is quite harsh. Think the high speed damping is limited. Overall a great bike even when sitting at 80mph on cruise control.
OMG noooooo.... let Yammie do the daily vids for sport bikes, and spite do it for cruisers. Spite will always kinda be like, "its okaaaay, or its fiiiiine" just let him do cruisers LOL
I used to live in the appalacians and the wind gust are insane. 30-40+mph gust are common when cresting large hills and riding over deep valleys or gorges on the highway was so scary. First bike was a super light R3 and even at 70-80 mph the gust scared me the most out of everything. Especially with the low weight, narrower tires and weaker suspension. You lose any traction and it feels like the wind wants to pick you up and throw you across lanes. What makes it even worse is half the highways are quilted with uneven patchwork and they are eternally doing highway maintenance but nothing ever seems to getting done. They will just scrape 4+ inches of the asphault off and leave it as an uneven road for what seems to be forever. If you have ever done a lane change at 70+ mph going up a 4 inch depth difference between the lanes with no bevel, (like hitting a curb almost) while getting smacked by a 30mph gust hits you perpendicularly on a highway overpass liteed with gravel, riding a kite of a bike in construction traffic with semis haulin ass next to you, you basically write your will in your head hoping for the best.
i rode the r7 this weekend and what u are saying about the rs660 is alot of what i felt about the r7. Mirrors are better on the r7. The riding position was a good compromise from r6 and mt07. It definitely was a pain in the back but you could definitely get used to it. The handling was amazing and the brakes felt great. The motor doesnt give you the instant mt07 torque though. more sport bike-ish delivery

I do not like riding for hours on the highway... the wind is very scary. I don't mind being on the RS 660 for hours on end otherwise, coastal and mountain roads and highways are the best. As far as city driving, it is not bad at all. Very comfortable even on long highway rides.

Never had any real issues with mine that check engine light might be fixed with software update (my dealership told me they release them quite frequently because it's new). Rear brake works fine but mine also started making the same noise 😂
