Hey Jim, great video, you are a master. Can you explain why you used a PADDLE and not a HAMMER, what is teh difference betwn teh paddle ad a hammer for PDR? I have seen other videos that use a hammer. Thanks
@@phototec thank you! So I prefer a paddle when using a knockdown, and a hammer for blending. Some people will use the side of their hammer as a paddle sometimes. One of my employees does this, and I’m not sure it makes a huge difference. Whatever you’re comfortable with. If you don’t yet know the difference or understand blending there’s some videos on my channel that’ll explain. Other times I’ll use a hammer as a knockdown…. I could smell the glue you were pulling and taste the alcohol! I was thoroughly embedded in the hood of the car. Until my Wife pulled me out. It was very good tutorial thanks
There’s a bunch of industry hot glue I’d recommend over others. Tab weld is a classic choice, but I’ve been using carbon tech green slime this year pretty heavily. I’d say for most applications my all time fave so far is the metal medic glue, I believe it’s called hero glue, but I’m not positive on that.

You are using newer vehicle's sheet metal which is thinner than older cars. How does the PDR system work on older cars (1950s) etc?
