      @@vidiczI think the best way to help new diyers would be to make a video just naming techniques and when to use them. Links in the description to videos of different techniques would then solve their issue

    tap down is a critical skill, i learned since my first few repairs i actually had a few little spots i puushed up, cant be scared to tap down after :) just create little dents basically but push back out after.

    Hi!! If you have a high spot and a sharp one, you can knock it down and at the same time press and hold it from the inside with a plastic ball !!! The result is easier! Good video!!! PDR is art!!

    Extremely cool I have a 2019 ford ranger and I put a dent in the back door with my shoulder trying to rock the truck because my door was stuck on a cabinet in my garage so now I’m going to try to fix it myself after watching your video you know they just don’t put the metal in these cars like they used to

    • @vidicz

      Yes metal is much thiner these days then it used to be. However I must warn you that fixing dents is much harder then it looks so be careful as you can make it worse and harder for someone to repair it later

      I got all the large ones out and look very good now. Not quite perfect on all but good anyway, the smaller ones however, there is a lot of them. Something I'll work on in spare time, but don't have a lot. It is atleast way better now. I spent probably an hour or more per dent on the bigger ones. I can no longer tell where they were. 30 tiny dents that disappeared in the sun and reappear in the evening are going to take me a lot of time.

This video really helped. I have used hot glue tabs to get the major dent out and now I have a smaller but still noticeable indent and I am going to try to knock down the crown around the edges and see if that takes the tension off the metal

    Thanks so much for all the information and skills that you share!
    With small creases it looks to me like your knocking these down on each side at the the top and bottom of the crease to remove the straight lines and make the dent round.
    Straight lines lock in pressure where a uniform dent can be compressed while lifted up. Am I on the right path?

    • @vidicz
      @vidicz  3 месяца назад

      You are on the right path. Especially if you are glue pulling it. When pushing if the crease is not that sharp and deep no need to open it up

    When you are tapping, it would really help us beginners if we could see how hard you are hitting the tool, to get some feel for how gentle, or hard, one should be....so far in the video (tapping down the sharp little bumps), I haven't seen the method of opening up a dent, to make it better to glue pull...
