What about non backlit line boards? I've been using LED and saw , after watching some videos how line boards can work. I bought a couple. They aren't backlight but I do have my lights and keep trying to position to use them. It feels like wasted money.
I have both reflector boards and LED boards and to be honest I use my 'non backlit' board 80% of the time. Good light is the biggest issue, if you mostly work indoors then the LED lights can be better for a brighter reflection, me personally I mostly work outdoors and the LED lights outside in daylight are less effective for me. You can still get a good reflection indoors providing you have a good light source shining onto the face of the board so it reflects the light as opposed to having lights shine through from behind the reflector board.
Line Boards are great if the lighting is good. I use my lineboard more often than I use my light because most of my repair work is outdoors in daylight and the reflector boards are brighter. When I am working inside, I switch to my LED board though!
Im not a pro ..i do this for small door dingS ect.....should i get a line board or a reflector board..i was looking at the elima, dent vs. A cheap reflector board
I’m not a pro either, but I don’t think you need anything fancy. I bought a very basic inexpensive board that is slightly translucent and works okay during daylight. Usually though, I put a cool-running shop-light behind it, shining through - which reflects the lines onto the surface incredibly well.
@@kiddailey thanks for the comments .i think you are right .something inexpensive will do the trick..i dont need expensuve since idont see myself doing this very often .thank you for your ideas
In my opinion it comes down to your working environment, most of the time i work outside in good daylight and my lined reflector board is great and very affordable - pdrprotools.co.uk/linereflector-board-tight-lines-white-p-373.html but if working inside or on white panels i tend to use the light board instead, however it is much more expensive at 5 times the price, if you are not doing it a a career a reflector board should be fine and as mentioned in the other comment you can also shine a light onto the board, if its a reflector board you will need to shine the light onto the face of the board though not behind it, remember its the reflection of the lines we use as a guide not the lines themselves :)

I have a vw t4 project that's being wrapped soon with a dent in the sliding door nobody else wants to touch. Can you help? 😊
If you would like to send us a couple of photos I'd be happy to advise you on your potential repair options
Do you do collabs at all?
Not something I've ever considered to be honest
