- A beech b60 duke is landing at Augsburg (EDMA/AGB) airport. The approach, the landing, the roll out and taxiing can be seen in the video. The registration of this duke was N181BD. It's based at the small bavarian airport. Enjoy the sound when this beauty taxiies to the hangar.
Enjoy in full 1080 avchd quality!
There is no music in the complete video not to destroy the sound of the airplane. Feel free to rate, comment, surbscribe and share.

I love those Beechcraft Dukes. What a bad ass airplane. They look fast just sitting on the ramp without the engines running.
An awesome airplane in its time! 😎😎
So true!
One of the best looking Piston twins.
Back In The Day I Lusted For One of These Dukes. Just think what one would be like today with a new glass panel. Has anyone done one?
Superb aircraft and video. Nothing can touch the Duke as far as piston twin performance goes (except piper Aerostar), gives the C90 kingair a run for its money.
My Favorite Plane of all Time... got to ride in one.. they are Great... that guy landing this one kind of botched it, I have seen a lot better landings, but he was also fighting a pretty heavy cross wind!
Always was a great looking plane.....it looked fast just sitting still....but a thirsty bird, for sure.
True!
Top of the piston line.
Fuel burn: 140-180L/hr..
The duke is such a f*** fuel killer :)!!!
They crash a lot sadly.
Duke=Flying Money Pit
True that! A great speed machine in its time, but not a plane for the feint of heart, or those with a thin wallet.
All my worst nightmares resulted in flying this over rated aircraft. Did three flights in ine just to make me see how good they were. Sadly I walked away from with which ledft a nasty taste n my mouth and went back to flying the great Aero Commander 500s , 690s jet commanders etc. Vowed never to fly a Duke ever again. 40 years later still flying the Aero Commander range and love them.. Dont see many Dukes around these days
The dukes are pretty rare also in Germany. There are some with pt6 engines but the normal one's can be seen much more often. Personally I like the duke because of the nice engine sound. From where out are you flying the Commander's?
Out of Jandakot airport away from the flight path from the domestic/International terminal.
Just another note. The Duke was not a big seller in Australia.
the Duke is an inherently unstable airplane, but then even the Cheyenne's had longitudinal pitch stability problems until the stretched it. Supposedly they fixed the Duke with the strakes and VGs. Not sure the wingtips played any role in that stability fix. It would not be my first choice and even planned stalls and engine out work would be scary for me. Neat little package though, especially with the PT6's
Did you get into a spin?
