I love watching your videos. You’re one of the few who almost exclusively review the cheap bangood type cars. But you pointing out how cheap the radio is, and that the screws they gave you weren’t even long enough to mount the wheelie bar, is pure honesty in reviewing. My problem is, none of my LHS’s have ever even heard of ANY of these companies. So parts support, is online. And waiting around for repair parts when they break, and trust me they will break, is maddening. Even the name brand stuff eventually breaks, but at least the hobby shops have parts support for them. These cars look so cheap they remind me of toy grade stuff. All the stuff you pointed out wrong with it or broken at the end on the shockwave, just wow. They also try to make them go so fast, as small as they are, they’re uncontrollable. Where’s the fun in that? I’ll never buy any of the cheap off brand bangood stuff. But your reviews are great, I enjoy your content, and you do a great job getting the point across on what you like, and don’t like, about the cars you review. 😎
Ofc they look cheap because look at the price its cheaper price, obviously lol And parts availability is fine with me since I have whole buncha other rcs that can use when waiting for parts online and the way I have fun with them they rarely break, good durability as my traxxas and arma

Less stress and wallet gutting when things break, and even though it takes time, the parts still always come. Most of the cars I review are absolutely worth it to me. Super glad you like the videos!! My goal is even if you don’t care about the cars in the videos, you just like them anyway lol

kind of surprised with the Shockwave not listening to good. I've seen several videos on the Shockwave showing is a really good car despite that cheap radio. Wondering, if the receiver antenna might be running next to the power supply relays. I've seen this happen before with a few other different cars that did the same thing. worth checking out maybe...nice honest break down and comparison though! I have the cheaper brushed version of the shockwave from Amazon along with the cheapo looking radio and I haven’t had any problems with it. The shocks are dialed in perfectly, zero radio problems. I’ve never had it lose a signal and it’s been driven well over 100 ft away. The brushless version has better parts in general. Don’t write off the whole car. It’s my favorite of all the brushed 1/16 that I’ve driven. You just got a lemon.
Ya I said in there somewhere that it’s probably just my unit, but some of the other things were disappointing too. I agree the shocks absorbed the jumps nicely, it definitely has potential. I can almost see the brushed unit working better as this one looses traction too easily and was extremely hard to control, even when it was close and not losing signal. Did yours come with longer screws for the wheelie bar?
My day always gets better when I see your videos, I’m new to Rc hobby and watching your videos always inspires me, I think I might have the same tires that you used on your white car, for my hypergo 1/16th, I just used some foam of an old bed to make the inserts lol bad thing is I glued wrongly the tires to the rim and they’re waiting for repairing 😂 btw man could I please ask for a video? I said I was getting a rival MT 10 but when I traveled to Orlando RC shop recommended me the Granite and I’m loving it so much, so the idea of the video is a long time review of that car, what to expect on mid and long term, maybe upgrades? Anyway thanks a lot again foe keeping it up with the videos, blessings :D

@@DerbyCityRCHi, quick question, does the latest mjx models have a dead zone in the transmitter, not a throttle delay but a dead zone (looking to see if to replace them). Also, is it the transmitters or the esc or receiver that causes the dead zone problem?

Thanks man! I’ve heard of other people liking them, but no I still wouldn’t. Subpar craftsmanship, hard to control and the axle that broke easily. Much preferred my 14210 or 16890sa, or that S910 in this video.

@shawt2266 oh yes, I see that’s what Hosim calls it. I usually call them the differential cups or drive cups. Amazon shows them here: amzn.to/3QRxEY6 If you can get from Amazon, I would send them an email or a Facebook message explaining you keep getting the wrong part.

Man, I don't really get people complaining about you reviewing cheap toys. To start with, the "blue temu car" is simply awesome. Point. And also, I guess a big chunk of your viewers are not in the USA. Traxxas or Arrmas are like twice the price in Japan, for example.
Am liking my mjx and hbx, but it looks like the big brands are entering the cheaper rc market now with the arrma granite grom and gorgon, competition is good, forces innovation and quality

Neither of these are from Temu. Also we actually enjoy these cheaper cars. Obviously not the bad one in this video lol. If I didn’t believe in the majority of what I review, I wouldn’t review them, and I’m honest about the ones I don’t like. I have content on the higher end cars too, but it has been a while. Ppl against cheaper rcs being reviewed (reviewed to see if its quality or not as compared to the competition, via price point, scale, etc..) is not good for the hobby's growth for good things. I.e... ALOT of the new rc fans were brought in by mjx and hbx and traxxas mini crawlers, which were cheaper cost rc yet quality at the price point (who those new fans didnt want to spend so much, like $450 rc, as 7th hobby they may not like). Thus, the More bulk amount of newcomers means more new dedicated rc fans. This is actually how markets have always been, i.e. sports, the casual base/viewership is king revenue.
I agree both sides of the hobby are important. I love my bigger higher end cars but that’s just not something I like to use all the time. The cheaper ones are great to get out any day any time.

Very cool video, i would take the motor out of shockwave & put it in the white truck, i would definitely love to see that.
