After watching your previous videos I went the mjx 14209 and 14210 for my son (6) and I. We hit up fields with dirt and short grass with less things to run into. Bought some 3s batteries and geez they go hard. I love how they give you some spares parts for the price. Can definately recommend. Was happy to see you rate the car highly.
I have scy16106 pro. I love it! Havent broken anything yet (i lied a bit, dog pulled spare wheel of two times). I changed esc for separate 35amp one to be sure it handles 3s and use dumbo rc radio gear. It was also okay with original electronics, maybe radio range was little short. Yesterday installed 60a esc, but havent tested it yet.
Someone else told me they switched two of their motor leads and got much more speed like that. I haven’t had a chance to try it but that would be amazing!
Oh man list videos tickle my fancy! Give me all your lists bra. Seriously all of them. #9 is probably my next car🤷🏽♂️. Thank you mr. double dragon for the great video 🫡
hi bro your content is superb, which is the best overall and durable i am new to this hobby world and after researching a bit I liked JJRC q117a from Banggood which one do you think should i buy for rough use, as a beginner and also it is hard to get these cars and its parts in my country i would like your advice and guide me to buy new one as beginner. my budget is less than 150 $. one more doubt the last car SG116 Beast Max was super tough and i liked it by seeing the performance in your review but why is it last tho i hope a best suggestion from you.
Thanks bro! Ya that SG116Beast or the JJRC Q130 are my top picks for that price range I believe. Great videos an always! looking forward for the MJX 14210 I believe it is (the truggy style)! Wanted to check with you what you think about either getting and MJX 14209 or a Rlaarlo AM-D12 (I'm in Australia) and with exchange both end up being around AUD 300. Rlaarlo seems like a much bigger RC which could be beneficial but also not sure how easy would it be for me to get Rlaarlo spare parts when something breaks! Seems shipping from US could be expensive...
Thanks!! I definitely had a blast with the 14210, I guess you’ve seen that video by now. Man these are both awesome cars. Gotta use the paddle tires for the mjx in my opinion, but I think I may have had a little more fun with the Rlaarlo, however I believe the mjx has a lot more durability to it. Does the Rlaarlo website shop from the US? I haven’t checked but figured it was China.
Just ordered the HBX 2996a based on your passed videos, I am hoping to upgrade it in the future, are you planning to test an upgraded esc with the stock motor and run a 3S battery (we know the standard esc can’t take it 😊). You mentioned it in the comments in another video. Keep up the good work, love your videos!
@@DerbyCityRC I tested a 60a hobbywing, with those big wheels on 3 on grass its not quite enough, thermally shuts down. Looks like they have max10 for 80a or 140a, I might have to pick one up
That’s kind of surprising, but ya a higher amp should help. Grass will heat up just about any electronic system pretty quickly though in my experience.
I love the MJX, I am going to try different shocks as well as other tyres on it. Have you found the brake on it to be very harsh? I am asking because when I hit the brakes even when it is on 2S it quite often does a standing front flip! Must I try thicker oil for the front shocks so that the front does not dip so much when I hit the brakes?
Yes I do remember the brakes were pretty harsh, which I like! But I don’t want it to flip forward lol. Thicker oil could help a bit. The other thing is those tires are pretty grippy, which also causes it to flip easily at high speeds. Some different tires may do it good as you said!
Great list of trucks! When I first started watching I was like I hope he included a PX9200 because I feel like they don’t get any love anymore but after watching I see why
Thanks! Ya the px9200s biggest downfall are the axles. they bend SO easily. If it wasn’t for that it would likely still be on this list, though I don’t think Banggood has those brands.

U reviewed the standard 16890 a long time ago. Like 3 years. Then the 16889A not too long after that. Then the 16889A pro, then just a few months ago, the 16890SA. There is also the 16890A which is the same as the “SA” but only 2s capable. I don’t believe there is an actual “pro” version of the 16890s, but technically the S and the SA would be “pros”. That’s a lot of letters and numbers. I hope that helped lol
I'm still working on getting my first 1/10 scale. Originally I wanted an Infraction (still don't want to spend a fortune for one) and was going to get the brushed version and upgrade it later. Just started seeing videos about WlToys 104072 and that might be the ticket. The only issue is shipping because it's a big car. It's around $200 but shipping looks like about $40 extra.
their 1/10 scale was a dud from what I heard, was anticipated by all but bad reviews on release, and the cogging and lag issues of some of the older 1/12 and 1/14 made them unusable, But I'm telling you ya gotta try the new plastic chassis & they just released the brushed version 124010, but i've been running the brushless 124008 and love it. 3s and dirt cheap. Parts compatibility is a big thing with these too - since they're a direct copy of LC racing
