    Well, recently I've started using even smaller monitors (24") for triples and I do not want to go back to a single one. The sense of speed and situational awareness have been drastically improved.

      I'm also running triple 24 inch, however if budget allows, going with that size I would buy a 49 inch ultrawide, it's almost as wide as triple 24's.
      But the triple option was alot kinder to my wallet :D

    Count me jealous. Nothing seems to compare to VR, but the fidelity of the monitors trumps the VR headset's grainy resolution. I'm currently using a 43" single and I'm pretty happy. This looks very nice. God bless and race on 👍😎🏁

      Interesting. DR2 was actually my best experience so far with the triples. My AMD software treats the three monitors as a single 5760 x 1080, so maybe that’s helping? Not totally sure, to be honest. I’m still new here, lol

      @@SimRacing604 nVidia surround also treats it as one big screen but with the screens angled correctly it becomes warped without the triple tools most modern sims offer. ACC,rF2,AC,AMS2,R3E all offer great triple screen experiences where DR2.0 and F1 games look bad.

    • @buttdyno
      @buttdyno 2 года назад +1

      Yes - the side screen distortion in Dirt 2.0 is actually why you get such a sense of speed. You feel like you are going plaid all the time because the side screens are zipping past faster than they should. It doesn't have native triple support in the way iRacing/ACC do where the side screens are rendered differently.
      That said, that's obviously still cool and it's particularly fun when you're in Monaco or Greece and you can see the mountain you're about to fall down on the side screens.

      @DeadBen. 2 года назад +3

      @@modelltog I have and use both. And I find triples to be very immersive. VR does not offer the same level of static periphery as triples. For instance, in VR I must turn my head to look to my left...otherwise I only see what the headset is presently displaying. With triples, the side screens always display what’s to my left and right...which I see with my periphery without having to turn my head. My triples give nearly 180 degrees of surround around my seating position. I’m not arguing that triples are as immersive as VR...just suggesting each has its benefits and one is not necessarily objectively better than the other.
