You've blazed a trail that we all are forever thankful for. But life is about balance. Keeping it all in perspective. Here's to good mental health!! Thanks Ted!
That's beautiful Ted, I had the same experience with aunts and uncles.. very special moments with old Crosman guns. Now... thanks to you I have an Impact in .30 cal and a Marauder gen 2 in .25 cal. I'm so happy! I'm re living my youth in a big way because of you. Keep up the great work Ted!
So funny you mentioned a Daisy 840. I just got an 840 Grizzly and fitted it with a Western Field 3-7x20mm scope. As a nod to nostalgia. Welcome back, Ted!!
Welcome back Ted... glad to see that you’re stepping back, and taking time to enjoy....it’s more important than some give it credit for. At any rate, looks like there are some nice things on the horizon... please keep us informed of your progress with the 22 cal..
Family and life first. I love your videos. You've been an inspiration to me. I want them to continue. However, I want them to continue for a long time. For that to happen, you need to take care of yourself. Your family and life have to be the first priority. I think we all know that. I'll be waiting for the next vid when it comes. Thanks for what you do.
Smart choice on the .22 caliber Crown! You could always pop the barrel and probe on from your black pepper .25 caliber in minutes. I went with the Walnut in .25! Have a close eye 👁 on Matt and you pertaining to the slug shooting ST-X barrel. I’ll be all over it. Thanks Ted! You inspire!!!!
I know everyone has an opinion and I love watching ur videos but I think u taking a break from videos to put in work on u and whatever else u have going on will benefit the airgun community way more than putting out 3 or 4 videos instead of 1. Thank u for what u do for the community.
Can never be frustrated with a straight up dude like you! Thanks for the video Ted, keep livin life on to your own tune. Take care and cheers from Canada! You always need the first scratch to truly enjoy it.
Priorities!!! Health first, always. Family second. Shooting for fun third. Videos can always wait. Better to have them months apart, than none at all. Welcome back.
Yo, Ted! I hadn't noticed you had been overweight, and I'm discovering your vids all out of chronological order, (one of my specialties) but if you feel better, not only for the weight loss but for the sense of accomplishment and self-discipline that weight loss entails, more power to ya! Also, I hadn't known you had kids, but as a father myself, I'm SO GLAD you've adjusted your schedule to make more time for the real priorities in life. I'd guess that most of us out here can wait for the vids. As I remind myself all the time, we have had many of our adventures already. But our little ones only get one chance at growing up with us. Anyway, I enjoy your 'Holdover' channel, and as a newcomer to air-gunning (but not to firearms) I'm learning a lot. Vids like yours are incredibly helpful, (especially as I use my Snow Wolf exclusively for pest control) and I thank you sincerely for taking the time (and, as I now know, away from your family) to make and post them. Please thank your family from me/us, for sharing you, and I hope that you continue to make more great vids, and that all good things come to you and your family. P.S. BTW I don't polish apples, but that you for sharing the personal info about the barn, and your lifelong interest/involvement with air-gunning. It was a great vid.
Great to see you again Ted, do what's best for you and your family, have a good time always and then make videos, I'll be here as many others. Keep it up
Ted, So glad to see you back! But alas, I completely understand! Life does get in the way, and that is usually a good thing. I’ve been dying to see your review on the Warcat. I can’t decide to wait for the new Dreamline products, or just “pull the trigger” on the Warcat. All the best to you and yours!
Nah don't sweat it Ted, I think unlike most of the daily vloggers RUclips is infested with that cater to pre-teens, your audience is a bit higher in the age demographics. So we don't assume anyone "owes" us anything. Hope you and the family are well.
Glad to see you again :) Will we see a scope with the reticle in the first focular plane? Because all of those with a decent parallax adjustment cost a fortune....
Welcome back Play with your kids. No one when reaching death looks back and says "I should have spent more time working" You only get one chance to be with family. Keep greasing those starlings We'll take the videos whenever you put them up! And I still miss my Daisy 1894. Wish I still had it
Dude... I know how much work it is to make these videos and it's far more work and costly to make the high quality productions that you do. It is very appreciated. Glad to see you again.
You're a brave man for getting out for a vid so the bugs can get a piece of you. They're terrible around these parts this year. And I think I know that subdivision. Good to see you're still around.
Working temporarily in Salt Lake for two weeks, I decided to drive down and see the guys at UA today. Austin showed me that dipped stock for the "Warcat". I'm getting one! You and Matt have influenced the departure of a sheet-ton of dollars from my pocket over the last few years but what the hell...See you at EBR.
Ted, I'm kinda late to the party on this vid (life does interrupt) but wanted to let you know that everyone who subs your channels totally understand. We just miss you and your unique approach. Keep doing what you do, brother. Looking forward to your review of the Gauntlet and especially the Nova Freedom. Until then, hearty greetings from Montana!
Yeah welcome back! and looking forward to see'in what your input with Optisan comes out with (Quality company - I have a 4-16-44 EVX F1) For Me 1st focal plane scopes are the way to go - granted a good retical is critical!. Anyways don't leave it so long next time Ted.. Weve missed you..
I live in Brazil,I love your videos, take your time....... but ,please never give up to upload your videos TED u make me happier......... here we don't have stuf like that..... its amazing....
Funny Ted, I've all sorts of rifles etc, but my Red Ryder and Daisy Grizzly have given me and the family the most fun too. I guess it's because they are cheap and you are not precious about them. Thanks for the vid.
Welcome back Ted. Sounds like your time off was well spent. I, like many others, miss your videos but certainly don't begrudge you your own life and piece of mind. My I suggest a more modest pace... And thanks.
Thanks for all the great videos and advice, info and all of your uncanny shooting mate all the best to you and your family, but I do hope we have not heard and seen the last of you and when you're ready you will pick up where you left off. That would be fantastic you are THE MAN!!!! GOOD ON YA TED - THANKS AGAIN. John way down in NEW ZEALAND.
Ted, glad to see you're back again... PLEASE get yourself a "Thermocell", they work, you were making me itch watching you get ate by Mosquitoes. And yes, I"m disappointed that you haven't done some of the review videos as promised, but you've got to do what you've got to do. Take care, and thanks for all the entertainment... William C. a.k.a. Bionicycle.
Do you! The wife the kids the joy of life is what matters. To decompress ,reevaluate , & generally take stock is expected & required at our age 45ish. The guns the hunt the fish i love it all. Man i blinked and my only child graduated college & is off in her career. Now i have all the time in the world, & i wish i could just push her higher on that swingset 1 more time. Its like that song 5 more minutes. Take 5 Ted its cool! No apologies.
Hi Ted! Your videos and the information you share is much appreciated! Looking forward to your designed optics. I just took possession of my first FX and it's the Crown Synthetic in .30 caliber. I do a lot of shooting here at my ranch which is located on the rolling hills northwest of Fort Worth about 60 miles. The wind is a constant factor year long (and the heat for 3 long months). My best groups (I have a 50 and 75 yard range set up) are with my 25 caliber. Well I pushed the shooting envelope by purchasing the .30 caliber because I'm going to be turkey hunting this season (yea!, Texas starts this year with all game animals can be taken with airguns) and we have lots of turkeys .........deer.......... oh yea and hogs but the 30 is gonna be for turkeys and fun shooting. Hopefully more choices will be come more available for this caliber (any suggestions where I can get different choices besides the 2 from JSB?). Anyway, like to see you share more on the Crown. Sorry about this being so long. Keep the videos coming!
Hi Ted, I completely share your view on the “shooting just for me” concept, you just have to do it for “you” just to thoroughly enjoy the sport. Also, completely agree on the “gun that you’re not afraid to scratch”. Thanks 🙏!
I still have a daisy 880 because i shot my 856 to peices. Thats the gun that made me realize how accurate airguns can be. I used to sight it in. In snow shooting grass blades that stuck out the snow in half. Loved the gun! My new guns a guantlet i tuned to run 30 fpe with jsbs 18.13gr. Im tellin u do some work with ur barrel harmonics and trigger and powerplant. Its not uncommon for me to shoot 1in- 1&1/4in groups at 100yrds with 15.89s ten shot groups!
If you loose all your fans from not uploading they won't have a reason to collaborate with you. Just saying man. Really bothered me you quit uploading on the main channel. I turned notifications off a while ago and was gonna unsubscribe until the other days video. Glad your back !! If you want us to continue to support you , get it together!!!
It is now July 19th 2020 the FX slugs are out. I dropped back to .22 from .25 cal because I shoot so much getting rid of ground squirrels I have shot as many as 2,800 pellets in a 30 day period killing a hundred squirrels a day. With the new FX slug in .22 I have just made my first 175 yard shot knock a squirrel of a rock first try. I have made several 158 yard shots of the same rock. The .25 with 25gr JSB's was good out to 140 yards which is good. I can get a 112 shots in .22 cal on the regulator with the Impact this helps in the field. The Wild cat in .25 I could get 80 to 88 on the Regulator still good. The slugs have given me distance in the wind if you have the room to shoot them. Happy Hunting.
That's the thing ted, we always go back to our past over time. Sometimes things just get to serious, even in the sport of air rifles. Lets face it, almost most air rifles out there can out shoot the shooter. Most of use love the new tec, add on this, add on that, take that off, put that on, but it all comes down to what we enjoy=THE LOVE OF OUR SPORT. I could bet hands down if someone was asked would you go on a days shoot with one of your first air rifles ( you have to be over 35 :) ) & keep the range under 35m or use one of the top end up to date power house shooting up to 100m thy would take the first. Even if it was for just one day.
I think you’ve been working on them double breasted mattress thrashers With the way you’re moving getting old sux but now that I’ve found your channel it makes it a lot easier brings back good memories of my childhood buying a war cat this summer.
Family comes first, Ted. Though we’re always waiting for your new videos, i understand how important our family to us.
I enjoy all your work Ted. I also know you have to find the same "harmony" with your family as you talked about with these guns.
Good to see you again!!! Take care!! Family comes first, and getting those starlings of course!!!
The reason you are good at what you do is because you know how to prioritise. Family and health are always first. Bravo!!
You've blazed a trail that we all are forever thankful for. But life is about balance. Keeping it all in perspective. Here's to good mental health!! Thanks Ted!

We'll be here.
I have been out of PCP's for awhile, but your videos are pushing all my buttons to get back in. Thanks!
You have a regular job, a family, and make videos in your free time. I would be very stingy with my free time. You are truly amazing Ted.
Welcome back Ted... glad to see that you’re stepping back, and taking time to enjoy....it’s more important than some give it credit for. At any rate, looks like there are some nice things on the horizon... please keep us informed of your progress with the 22 cal..

Glad for your update! Best to you at the June Airgun Competition!

Family first mate, no complaints here. Thanks for putting another video together Ted.
Cheers from Australia.
Ted, your children and wife come 16,288 years before us. Thanks much for all you've provided.
