- Hi Guys! I am honored to review and test drive this awesome car that belongs to my friend Bosco Li. He built this car from ground up after buying it from Craigslist with an automatic transmission. The entire project took nearly 4 years to build, and boy was it worth the wait.
It's been tuned and set up for street driving clocking in at about 585 HP and 470 lbs of torque. This thing pulls like crazy and I had to watch myself a few times from getting too carried away. With a full interior, S2000 seats, and working AC, this thing is good enough to daily drive as well. A lot of time and effort went into this build, and I hope you guys all like this video and give my brotha a shoutout!

"Last but not least, I picked up a 2JZGTE non-vvti for $1500. It had problems and did not run. I torn down the engine to bare block and discovered that it has a leaky exhaust valve, 3 coil packs wires were partially melted and one of the main bearing was 90% destroyed. I had the head machined and rebuilt the whole engine by following the instructions on the supra TSRM. I did not have money to send the block to the machine shop and/or replace the piston and rods with their forged counterpart. ID1050x injectors, Radium Rail -8an fuel with a single Walbro 485 pump."

I've got an all stock Renaissance Red 98 SC300 I bought 2yrs ago. No leaks, No accident history, No rips or tears in the seats front or back. Love the car! They were truly ahead of their time design wise. They look better than a lot of these cars today. That's her in my profile picture. Question: Do the buttons work on the steering wheel? Great Build!! My compliments to Bosco!!
Oh wow that's awesome! Yeah I always thought the SC300 had a really unique timeless style to it. Glad you like your car and it looks really good! I haven't asked him if the buttons work, but once I find out, I'll try to remember to post back. I believe most of the time, with any aftermarket wheel, the buttons tend to NOT work unless you get an adapter and wire it into the OEM harness. It's a pain in the ass and a lot of work.
