J Mit We have barbecues. We barbecue hamburger patties, steaks, brisket, sausage, pork, corn on the cob, etc.. When mentioning barbecue in Texas, it’s a GIVEN it’s either on a pit OR on a grill over open flames using charcoal briquettes, and wet wood chips for the smoking factor and the red ring around the meat, just under the “bark” of briskets, ribs, pork tenderloins, etc.. A cook out is a general term and can include cooking with propane. Any self respecting Texan knows that. Restaurants use pits, as most people can’t afford one in their backyard. Restaurants also use rotisserie’s. That’s just flame and wood. You’re splitting hairs that have already been split.
Stop with the don't mess with bullshit, you Texans always talk big shit about everyone has a gun... apparently not in El Paso. lmfao, not one law abiding citizen had a gun in the Walmart and a mass shooter messed with Texas like a red headed stepchild.

Interesting 5 things Texans don't mess around about....and no mention of firearms...i mean we fought a country because they tried to take a small cannon. We gave em the finger and ran up a flag that said "Come and Take It"..

My husband and I traveled the world. We never filled out our nationality on visa applications as anything other than Texan. We were NEVER questioned or "corrected" at customs. Was told by a woman in Syria that other people from the US said that they were from America, but all Texans just stated the obvious.

It’s even better when you go overseas and say that you’re from Texas. Everyone is kinda meh around Americans, but EVERYONE knows and loves Texans. When I got stationed in Japan and met the Japanese and told them I was from Texas, their eyes absolutely LIT UP. It also helps that my grandparents are actual cowboys.

Growing up, the saying was, "The top three denominations in Texas are: Baptist, Methodist (now, Catholic), and High School Football"!
As a Texan.
I can confirm.
Oh, and 6, guns.
Seriously, do not question about the endless laws in Texas that consists of guns.
You would encounter so many gun experts and enthusiasts, you will not be murdered by bullets, you will be murdered by calm soothing soft spoken voices of facts.
That is not a joke, I'm one of those enthusiasts.
Also how many mass shooters do you see in a state where you're grandma is packing heat! Texan proud! Where's my Whataburger??
Yeah, and the El Paso shooter called bullshit on you, shot up your citizens and not one person in the Walmart was legally armed. Texans are full of shit.
TheRoadhammer379 because nobody acted doesn’t mean nobody was armed. Come to Texas with your big mouth and see how far you make it
@@kevinl5017 Considering that only about 5% of Texans have a License to Carry (though that percentage may have ticked up this year), and that El Paso is largely liberal (think Beto), I'm inclined to think that no one at that Walmart was carrying that day. Just moved from my home state of Louisiana to texas. We been trying to get here for years. Love it here. Aint never leaving.
I'm from Georgia and my husband is from Texas. Let's just say there are many restaurant that have been "banned" in our home due to " they can't cook a steak" and " their bbq is horrible!" So we do a lot of grilling at home! Lol
As it should be.... a nice stack of hickory, a nice stack of applewood & of course, a nice stack of mesquite. Now THATS good bbq. Get that propane bs outta here!
You dont go out for steaks..... You grill them yourself. Any self respecting Texan will tell you that.
Scott Hummel
You DONT grill ANYTHING in Texas!! You barbecue it!!!!
J Mit
We have barbecues.
J Mit I figured you were either a city boy or NOT from Texas. Sounds like you’re both.
