    When I moved from my hometown of Houston to New Jersey, the fast food workers hated how slow I talked trying to place my order. And Texas definitely is its own country. The only state whose flag can fly the same height as the US flag.

      @@shank492 I’ve lived in Texas my whole life and you’ll see a Texas flag more then the American flag here. It will be the same size and height as the American flag when they are flown together.

      Well, Y'all aint got a "National Beer of Iowa" and there aint no commercials saying "FORD is the Best in New Jersey". Aint got the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Ten different Seasons within a hours drive of anywhere and it don't take a week to drive across any other State in this nation neither. Yippy Ki Yay!

    When I moved to Fort Worth, Texas from New Mexico, just one state over, I did not realize how big high school football was in Texas. Homecoming mums are 50+ pounds, all the universities are like cults (Texas A&M), there is always construction on the interstate, pickup trucks must be bigger, and Texas really is its own country. I married a wonderful Texas man that has manners, is kind, hard working, and likes big trucks though. Texas is now home....you are welcome any time. We can take you to the gun range by our house, we have a lot of guns, and you must experience Bucee’s!!! Bucee’s is a Texas sized truck stop/convenience store.

    Im from Texas and I will verify most of this is true. Walker Texas Ranger was not real, BUT it was based on a real ranger in the 1800s named Walker who was a real badass. Look him up.

    Dont mess with TEXAS..... Its posted along all our highways..... Every 10 miles....... just as a reminder. And we have our own power grid. Theres 3 power grids in the US. One for every state east of the rockies, one for every state west of the rockies, and one for Texas.

    I was coming back from Canada and the border guard asked me my citizenship and i said " Texas ". He looked at me like he was annoyed and said " How many countries do you know of called Texas ? "
    I said " Only one. "

    Fun fact: Texas is the only state allowed to fly its flag at the same height as the nations flag. This is because Texas was its own nation before annexation!

      Sadly this isnt true (based on both US & TX flag code) BUT the TX flag actually does fly higher than Ole glory in 1 place, The Capital. But that’s only because our capital building is taller than the US Capital building meaning it does technically fly higher there.

      If you don't think it's true drive around Texas and check out the flags if anybody is flying the United States flag you will see. And that is is the truth. Whether it is supposed to be allowed or not I'm from Texas I don't care. We have the natural resources and the ability to export them. If Texas was its own sovereign country It would be number the 10th largest in GDP. Beating out South Korea and Canada.

      I think there's a pretty good comparison, but everyone has their preferences. I'll grant that Franklin's has pretty good brisket, but I like Coopers for more all-around BBQ. From sausage to pork chops to beef ribs to brisket, it's all amazingly good.
      (Thing 6 to know about arguing with a Texan... they will always argue about barbecue.)

    Chuck Norris has his Ranch in Texas and yes it was a show but he was awarded Honorary Texas Ranger, he might of been born in Oklahoma and have houses there but him and his family all have homes in Texas.

    FYI, Chuck isn't just a Texas legend, he is a true hometown hero. My sister was a science teacher for 15 years and he came to teach manners and karate and check on the neighborhoid-as a Ranger. Respect!

    Texas has tons of guns because we understand the second amendment. If a foriegn people try to invade our land and hurt us we can defend our family or form a militia if needed. Also if the government gets to big and tries to take guns the same may be employed. Safety first!

    This is my favorite one so far. Yes I am a Texan but moved to Fl when I was 13 (45 next month) but I’m still a Texan. I also happened to be married to a Texan that I met here in Florida. Though I might be a Texan I am all Florida Gators!!! It’s great to be a Florida Gator!!!

    As a true blood Texan we love that we are part of the South...Southern blood, Southern bred...but we are Texans first! Yep we love our guns and some asshole even thinking about taking them from us means WAR! Football does not exist without Texas....Texas IS football....there are no other sports in Texas! I like Chuck but he was no real Texas Ranger...that honor is for the real heroes! Now say something about Woodrow and Guss and we will have words. :)

      I was born in Baytown and live near Waco. I guess I'm an oddball among Texans. Maybe it's because I'm a Texas born Cajun. I don't own a gun, and I find football about as exciting as watching paint dry.
      I love the week or three of winter we have in Texas. But Texas summers I could do without. At least the humidity is better here in Central Texas than in Louisiana. Whenever temperatures reaches the upper 90s or triple digits I seriously consider moving to Alaska.

    As a Texan, third generation, all of this is very true lmao. We are a proud people. Also another thing I've picked up on traveling through the States is that if a Texan runs into another Texan they INSTANTLY bond. We get along with our own.
