American Fugitive Switch patch. What has changed?

- Join me as I take a look at the latest patch for American Fugitive on the Nintendo Switch.
We're still awaiting some patch notes on this, but hopefully there is enough footage in the video. I've tried to focus on most of the issues I had with the original game review.

So this patch was focused on improving stability and performance. There is still work we want to do for further frame-rate gains. After that, I'm sure AI will be pretty high on the list.
Thanks for confirming guys. I've never seen the police so aggressive chasing me down previously (and I restarted this game post patch). So that's quite interesting!
I'm on the fence right now, but I'm starting to lean on the buy side. Hopefully we'll see some improvements and I'll be all over this. I really want it to be as good as it can be.
Yea with a couple of tiny tweaks I say there’s definitely a fun game there!
I'm waiting for a path or two more but seriously, major commendations on continuing to work on the game and communicating that to us - if not for that then I'm sure I'd have just let the game slip my mind and not try it out

Thanks for this update video - I was quietly waiting for this and I held off due to the issues in your initial review. The police turning up constantly put me off, still interested but I'll wait for the next patch/update video. Cheers!

I like the fact that the developers are trying to solve the issues. Some games on the eShop get released and forgot about. This game has groundbreaking potential just for the Switch IMO👍🏽

I noticed that there are no lockpicks available for sale on nintendo switch version, but they can be freely bought in a tourist store and gas station on PC version. Can you comment on that?
The art style and isometric view are quite appealing to me, but I am still on the fence about this game. I never completed Chinatown Wars because I kept getting stuck, but how does this game compare to that aside from performance? Is the game pace good?
Hey Hai. I wasn’t a huge fan of the side missions too be fair mainly due to the police coming after you for every small misdemeanour, but if that is tweaked and it becomes a bit easier to get around it would be more fun to do those missions.

Bought this game recently so far it's enjoyable more work needs done in places but good effort I did a few missions did have a couple of problems in playing a particular mission but I passed it so happy days keep improving things and working on it fallen tree games

The game had a lot of crashes before the update. I dunno if it’s fixed now, but I‘ll try it out once more now.
Some people saying it's still crashing. Really curious as it never crashed for me at all.
Mine constantly crashes to the point it's unplayable. I contacted Curve and they said they know about the issue and patch should be out this week.
@@perryjessup441 So weird, I've put in over 10 hours and cant remember a single crash, but others say its crashing constantly.
I never played it before the patch but after the patch, I think driving is very poor. The screen jumps and the lag makes the steering have delays which makes driving almost impossible. I can't believe it was worse before and that it was actuality released like that.
Yea it's really offputting.

There is rain yea, which is quite nice. Never saw it affect anything though.

After the first patch: It was stable until today. Crashed again. More FPS drops. Guess my save game is damaged somehow. Got an infinite loading screen 🤪

The stuttering during driving made me quit playing... such a great game i will revissit when thats fixed.

The update and fixed camera position help a lot, would recommend giving it a go, I find it way better
There is alot of work to be done in sorting this game. It's such a good idea and could of been excellent but the developers clearly rushed this
Hopefully they will sort it out very soon, they have been great with support so far.
Just got this game on ps4 like 2days ago and having a blast just dont like I have to keep buying the cars once u buy u shouldn't have to agian

I planned on buying both Shakedown Hawaii and American Fugitive. Wound up buying Shakedown first and regret it. The more realistic art style of Fugitive looks more appealing to me, and the business aspect of Shakedown isn't what I thought it'd be. Frankly, I've been pretty disappointed with Shakedown.
It's ok in small doses. I think AF could be better with some tweaks. Will defo be keeping an eye on its patches for the channel.
@@SwitchedOn "Small doses" is exactly how I've been playing Shakedown. Fwiw, so far the dev teams for both games seem like they're on it as far as patches and/or updates, which is good. I'm definitely keeping an eye on it.
You gave it a 5.5?!? You can't be serious? Maybe the Switch version is trash but the PS4/Xb1 version is great.
I doubt the AI is much different nor the police response times? Some people are definitely enjoying it and that's great! Others really don't like it - Nintendo Life gave it a 5, another reviewer I know refused to review it after spending some time with it as they flat out hated it. All about opinions and it's good to check a variety of reviews before buying something.

I just got this on ps4 and it's great is there away not to keep paying for the cars
Frame rate still terrible
I think the frame rate is definitely better to the point of not actually slowing down as such, but the judder on the cars seems worse which is really making my head ache.
