The back roads of the south east of Scotland are wonderfully relaxing I travel regularly down south and have taken different routes to Carlisle and never tire of the beautiful panorama, The 701 dropping down in to Moffat is particularly beautiful. I intend to travel the 701 route on the bike one day. Thanks Bruce for another watchable video,
Another lovely video. As an Englishman from the Cheshire/Shropshire borders, I find it fascinating to see the countryside you show us. All set to the lovely soundtrack of your Royal Enfield thumping away quietly. Thank you.
The classic 350's are just so pleasing to listen to threading there way through the sweeping curves of the country side, me and my missus were out yesterday through the peak district round Derbyshire on our bikes, she pulls up at the side of me at junctions with a smile on her face saying how great my classic sounds from behind!👌 😀 😆 Another great video, cheers! 🍻
Proper stone houses in the Scottish Borders Glyn 😁👍 In East Lothian we sadly seem to be obsessed in harling houses and painting them with whitewash, the old dressed stone looks far nicer! 😁
What a beautifull country you live in. Your video's do want me to come to scotland on my 350 some day. Perfectly filmed. Enjoying it alot. Thanks. Berry from Holland
Thanks for another great video, I wished I had seen you guys I would of joined you on my Meteor 350 for a bit as I am down in Kelso and ride most of these roads all the time, we are really lucky here in the Borders an East Lothian. Maybe next time. Look forward to more of your videos.👍
Hi Thomas be good to meet up for some local rides, we’re getting a Hunter rider joining us from Edinburgh too! So be a cool group ride with similar rides! 😁👍 Cheers Bruce
Some great views, roads, vehicles, villages etc. I would love to do this, or similar route. Such a great feeling riding out on the RE 350’s. The Signals is lovely. (Pity my Wee leggies canna touch the ground…..😂) Hopefully this coming weekend looks dry, so head to Arbroath for the “Wee Smokie “ meet. Try to put out the management light before hand, and dry the garage rugs out fae that doon pour wee had over past weekend. Oh……look up Hugh Ferrier, riding his BSA C15 around the Black Isle. Thanks again for another cracking Video😊
Thanks Mark, switch you engine on and start and switch off with key 3 or more times and the light should go out 😁👍 you too may have loads of grease on relays and other connectors easy to wash out with WD40 😁👍
Hi Bruce, really enjoying the channel. Thanks for letting us hear the bikes and not having the usual annoying music drowning everything out. I stayed in one of the cottages at St.Abbs Head for a week a couple of years ago so it was good to see it again. I'm in Central Scotland, so familiar with a lot of the routes you are showing. On my second Enfield now, first one was a Himalayan, but the seat wasn't for me on long journeys. Now I have a Meteor and having fun with that. Maybe catch you on the road sometime. Ride safe.
You made a very good point there with "these aren't wee bixe they're normal sized bixe in the rest of the world". A few YT's I watch have got carried away with big bhp and cc. They cost a lot to insure, run and in a few cases are a target for theft.
Hi Simon, you will enjoy the 10,000 Mike review film up soon! As I break down the good points of-the 350 and break down of the fun for the running costs 👍😁
Lovely tour. I’m trying to track where you are; could you indicate a few of the locations? (Sorry, my Midwest American ears can’t always interpret the town names with your melodious Scottish accent😊). The 350 I understand perfectly.
Great video and beautiful scenery. I also agree with other commenters that the exhaust/engine note as the backing track is terrific 😊👍🏻 I do have two questions; firstly, did you have to make modifications to stop the mirror vibrations? I’ve test ridden the Classic 350 a few times and on the motorway at 65+mph the mirror blur was so bad I couldn’t make out the traffic behind me, which made overtaking dangerous and impossible. Secondly, I love the white on black number plates, looks very old school but are they legal (I hope so because I want to do the same)? DVLA states black on yellow for all vehicles, I’m just hoping there’s an exemption for motorcycles somewhere?
Hi, I have not done anything to the stock mirrors and they do vibrate a bit, I think that’s why a lot of owners fit the higher quality RE mirrors, Sadly the black and white number plates are not legal and my rear it held on with Velcro on top of a tin yellow plate, the front has we pins though I only remove the rear to travel around Edinburgh or A9 with average speed cameras , around the back roads I leave them on 😉😁👍
I don't suppose you have a route plan for that ride. I've been on some of those roads but got a little lost following. I'm over in Biggar so not too far away but it's an area I'd like to visit a little more
Hi, sorry i don’t have a route as don’t use Garmin, I’m old school and just use an OS map, also living here all my life i have learned the roads from years out exploring 😁👍 Cheers Bruce
Never ceases to amaze me... 350 on right roads feels like your doing 150mph🤭 then you look at speedo 40 to 50🤭 😂😂..... wonder if your aware of utuber "mr hewes"... young lad n mate fettling tanks etc etc....atb dave... ps yup them are great roads🤫
Hi Frank, there was a lot of complaints when these huge windfarms started to be built all over the SE of Scotland, I think now we’re just used to seeing them when out and about on runs

Enjoyed that with a dram. Great stuff again!
Glad you enjoy the film, and yer dram 😜😁👍👍👍
Bloody hell, more superb roads and villages. The stonework looks so rugged, must be all that granite 💪
Proper stone houses in the Scottish Borders Glyn 😁👍

Great trip, scenery and roads and nice, down to Earth commentary. Thanks. Awesome ride with your mate on the same Classic 350. Lovely. 👍

Ah the good ol' "Stolly" best fun you can have on 6 wheels :)
I wonder if it runs? 🧐 need to stop at the farm and ask about it! 👍😁

What gloves are you wearing in this Bruce?
Hi, they are my summer gloves made by REVIT! Which i bought at Saltire Motorcycles 😁👍
Cheers Bruce
Thanks Bruce. Found them - Revit Mangrove. Love your videos fella. I'm saving up for a Classic 350 myself.@@Coastriderscotland
It's a shame that the windmills spoiled the view.
