I can see this as a cost effective fix. I do like the banks for removing the grid heater completely and opening the space for more flow. Two options for two different budgets.

Too bad the more flow thing is a moot point. The flow restriction on these trucks is the cylinder head, not the intake horn. Banks lies to people to get his profit.

Start pumping them out boys me and I’m sure lots of other people are already waiting for it to show up in the mail a $300 investment is way better than the $1300 banks option

Thanks for your comment. Initially, we were a bit overwhelmed by the demand for this product. Sales have hugely exceeded our forecasts, so we’ve ramped up production. Several hundred units will ship out this week to consumers, and we expect to have a full inventory in the next couple of weeks

Do I really need to worry about this if I live in Florida?

This doesn’t fix anything, just relocates the bolt. Get the Banks kit this kit is a waste of $. There is still a bolt on the intake.

@@seanmcintyre5148, they will now. What makes you think having that bar is the fix the the back one too. It fixes the front bolt but still have the stock heater that’s junk. Guys that buy a $20-80k truck but a $1300 Banks kit costs too much to fix.

Thanks for your feedback. Here’s a quick summary of how the BD kit resolves the issue for less than $200 USD. The main bolt through the plate is up-sized to actually handle the current traveling through it, unlike the OEM, which is too small. That bolt is now also on the outside, so catastrophic failure is no longer possible. In addition, the connection at the other end (near the heater itself) is changed so the electrical current passes straight to the heater rather than through the bolt, eliminating the possibility of this bolt melting off. Lastly, the nut was eliminated from that connection, and the bolt threads directly into the new billet bar. So far, we’ve received nothing but positive customer feedback.

How do you know if banks heating element that too hangs right inside of intake horn will not fall in to the intake?
      Thanks BD for this solution👍🏻
