It is ABSOLUTELY critical.
Having owned one of these and now needing to own a second, here's what I have learned. These amps are actually leaving a fair amount of performance on the table. They use chong capacitors which not only have I had one pop and destroy my first one of these but they do not measure what they say on the side. I bought another one of these and replaced all of the capacitors with proper capacitors and audio capacitors and the difference is staggering. Not only is the signal to noise ratio better but the tone is cleaner and brighter.
The first one I owned was actually a very early number serial number 43
I like it nice and neat. Plus just happy seeing action from JVC and Jensen.
I like these videos. It shows, who is just slapping a number on they amps and who really rates them right. Hope to see more of these videos. Keep up the good work guys.

That seems like a good amp., I dont like jvc's 6x9 or 6" speakers though mainly because they dont have the bass kenwoods do but this jvc amp seems like a good amp,, I'd purchase it if I needed one,, although I'd be using it for 6x9s n 5.25 n a bit hard to find speakers that size that will handle anything above 45w rms each, unless I choose components in front n change rear spkrs too, I'm using n old 50x2 Infiniti kappa on rear kenwood 6x9s n tapped front tweeters off them w bass blockers from over ten yrs ago n still work fine,, cool video

Kenwood owns JVC thats why all of JVC stuff starts with KW in the model numbers.

Not quite. That existed before the merger. That said neither company owns each other.. they merged into 1 big company in 2008.
Not only did the amp test on point as it should, but you showed A) that JVC does more than headunits and soso speakers, but B) more importantly that thier circuit boards are built of quality & not clones, C) you showed that not all box specifications are false when advertising wattage/impedances,
D) of course showed they follow CEA Compliances which as we all know a major hot button w our profession!
I am from Maine and my "dreamers typical affordability" is just that a dream of owning Helix, Focal, Audison but willing to spend BOSS/Pyle, Planet(I'm a former dealer of) and you know where I'm headed with this! So now that I've seen current JVC amps, I have some better ammunition to suggest and stay price point efficient! My usual alternative is SKAR(In have zero qualms about BP 5 ch powers my garage) but SKAR is a brand that many of my customers are reserved for some reason about??? Anyway my show vehicle is a E46 BMW 99 with Helix/Orion/Audio Control/Excelon Massive Audio and all copper wired with welding cable, dual Optima batteries, custom interior, rolls on M5 wheels and sits pretty squashed on coilovers;) Thanks for the video & unboxing 2 for 1 deal/ Latest video supplies tour

The sub channel on my pioneer d9705 is better, but it's not 200$ anymore! I'm seeing crazy 300-400$ prices!
I am wanting to install an audiofrog 3 way setup (gs690, gs25 and gs10) my truck active and was wondering if the kicker key can work to do this. If not what would you recommend?
The kicker key can only go up to two way active iirc

Not bad but why didn't they use true 4 gauge connectors for the power and ground. I hate the screw type
Spade terminal suck but those are the largest Spade terminals you can get fortunately. They fit 4 gauge wire with a 4ga fork terminal
I wonder how the amps you can buy at places like Walmart, that only advertise peak power, would perform. I have had some good and bad luck with "flea market" amps. Mostly because I didn't know how to set the gains then.
If you have trouble setting gains get an amp with a clipping indicator or a multimeter and use ohms law.
They're okay but the wattage is way overrated I'm talking like 3000watt amp putting out 300 watts
@@jrockaz548 Taramps best bargain for your watt per dollar. A Taramps HD 3k is around $200. That's 15 watts per dollar. Those amps also come in a 1,2, and 4ohm version where they make 3k rms at 12.6 volts at 1,2, or 4ohms depending on the model.

@@raymondc9896 they seem to be doing fewer install videos lately. Watts are less important to me than a quality product. I know that a lot of people like the tests, but I enjoy watching the quality of their work. I appreciate that they set a standard others should strive.These tests are beneath their talent. Seems like they are filling time…..but I will watch whatever they offer
