Worst Games Ever may never top this moment. It was perfect in just soooooooooo many ways.
"Simple 1500 Series" is a category of budget priced games from Japanese publisher D3. Also, this game is absolutely adorable, it's like if a bunch of five-year-olds tried to do a Metal Gear. This guy is the most bargain-basement of bargain-basement Solid Snakes.
I didn't think I knew this game but as soon as the music started, all the memories came back. This was one of my uncle's games. I remember him, my dad and I getting annoyed and all failing to make any progress past maybe the second of third level.
Edit: It was Stage 4 (25:55). We had no idea who we were supposed to shoot and ended up wasting the whole night arguing about where the target is.

If you could take the Japanese Hideo Kojima-esque video game weirdness of the late 90s-early 2000s, distill it into a bottle and then use it to make a game with the smallest budget possible, you'd get this game. I kinda love its "so bad it's good" quality and aesthetics. Great episode.
The beginning cutscene is like the open to an early 80s detective show the way it just keeps going.

These cutscenes are glorious.
Feels like it's trying to be Metal Gear Solid so bad, particularly with the voice actor credits. But it's just so inept
@@DeathRecon97 Exactly what I thought. It wants to be MGS, but can't hit such lofty heights, with it's awful awfulness. This is the poor man's version of a poor man's MGS meets a poor man's version of James Bond, meets up with a poor man's House Of The Dead, trying to be some sniper arcade game, but failing. But at least this video's hilarious, and I definitely want to see them play the entire game, at least once.
I love how at the start when CA is being shot at, Harry has to grab the sniper and then run up several flights of stairs before he finally snipes any of the enemies
Not just te flight of stairs, you can see the food truck where the cutscene took place pretty far to the left of the vantage point suggesting he crossed a large part of the map with no cover just to gain two stories of height.

I've watched this one 3 times already on Patreon. Absolutely fantastic job on this one lads! This is right up with the top Worst Games like London Racer, Little Britain and Beverly Hills Cop. I would love to see a full playthrough on the channel!

In some episodes of WGE, you’ll sit there and think “This game doesn’t look that bad”, mostly because of how well Ben and Peter rip into it.
This is not one of those times.
This isn’t generic bad it’s so beyond weird and it’s exactly why I love WGE, great job guys!

As does everyone else who's ever played ME2/3. Except me, because I've only played ME2, sorry. But I did hear about how infamous both 3 and Andromeda are. Or at least the endings of 3.
@@shawnfields2369 3 is a phenomenal game, but the endings absolutely drag it down. Andromeda, meanwhile, is an average game... assuming you avoid any of the numerous bugs, many of which are potentially gamebreaking.
@@ComXDude Yeah, that's exactly what I heard about both games. Don't worry, I wasn't planning on playing Andromeda, even if they did patch it, same with 3. I heard they patched both games, but it doesn't make them worth playing. But thanks anyways, dude. I just wanted to see Ben and Peter playing this hilariously bad game. Maybe sometime, they'll play the whole thing?
@@shawnfields2369 Honestly, I would recommend playing 3, but that you save the Citadel DLC until just before the final mission and accepting that as the game's ending instead of the real one. It makes it so much better, and the DLC itself is the single best part of the series as far as I'm concerned.

I'll definitely try it out sometime, if i ever get my stupid PS4 fixed, or if they ever port the full ME 3 game to the Switch, because that's unfortunately the only working console I've got right now, besides my 3DS, but they're both great systems. I just don't know why my PS4 suddenly stopped working all of a sudden... it was only a few months ago. Then one day, it wouldn't read any games anymore, but the tv works fine, but sony have just become huge jerks. And I was actually excited for the ps5 because of the new RE game; and the new Ratchet & Clank game too... oh well. No use complaining. But again, thanks for your help.

I knew as soon as I saw D3 Publisher, I knew it had to be Simple Series - which is the same source as the Earth Defense Force series and Riho Futaba. But it definitely looks like a Simple Series version of killer7.

I still don't know why they released The Sniper 2 as The Sniper 2 despite there not being an international release of The Sniper 1.
When I was a kid my dad made this big, sarcastic deal about the two games he bought for like two weeks for some reason. He never produced the games and I thought it was some weird joke he was making, given that’s the kind of jokes he likes to make to himself. Then one time he starts humming this dramatic evil sounding music and produced both games to me. Those games were Daemon Summoner, and Sniper 2. It brings me such joy to see these games revisited by these guys. They were truly, irredeemably awful. And he randomly picked both at once out of a bargain bin for what I assume was light interest in the titles and to make some strange and grandiose joke. Love you dad.

Stefan Ashton Frank (one of the voice actors) has had a pretty extensive career. I'm guessing his other work (including Robot Wars, Call of Duty 3, Cyberpunk 2077) is better than what he's able to deliver with the awful script. Sniper2 isn't even listed on his IMDB. One for everyone to forget.
Not a complaint I love these videos and think you do an awesome job. I did have a great idea however towards the introduction of each video. Where you choose game victim and master during the introduction I think a good twist would be that maybe swap the style so if Ben is the victim he looks more scared not all tough looking. And same with Peter if he’s the master he looks more serious. I just think it’d make as an awesome twist to swap the styles around a bit depending on the scenario

The "Simple" games were games that were intentionally made poorly to be sold for cheap. The number in the title is indicative of its price point (a Simple 1500 game sold for 1,500 yen)
The Hideo Kojima and Dreamcast comparisons killed me 🤣😂🤣

Everyone was making fun of this for trying too hard to be a movie but now every game wants to be a movie.
The hitchhiker guy was hit with the chemical weapon so needed to be around to receive the cure. Probably the cia would want to keep an eye on him at least until the stuff is out of his system. Or just disappear him, but like maybe abby is one of those nice cia agents that totally exist.
What am I even watching? This is so bizarre. It feels like someone of very limited talent did this by themselves; graphics, gameplay, story, scripting, and got their reluctant mates to do the voices. I can't even.
This might just be the ugliest game you’ve ever featured on WGE. It’s so offensive to the eye and ear it somehow manages to smell and taste bad too.
