I ended up crying on our kitchen floor asking him if he’d go back to full time work so I could stay home. Lucky, he found a full time job quickly, so I was able to quit. I'm a 36 year old man who literally has no friends. I work in an industry that requires a lot of face-to-face interaction, so I get my social doses there, however outside of work I'm literally alone all the time. It has its bad days but it also has its awesome days, just like having a ton of friends!
Love it! One of the craziest things I discovered is that the culture isn't just lying to women about saying job>>family. They're also lying to men with the same thing. I grew up pretty conservative, and then when I actually had my own family, I realized that my scientific career that I'd spent years on was only a means to an end. That end is providing for that family. Having a family isn't just an integral part of a woman's life, it's amazingly important to men. I'll agree that this idea is pushed harder on women today, but i find it so interesting that men have accepted the lie that family is secondary.

Obviously the family is more important than the career, but the career is needed and important for the mans role. For a woman thats different, because men dont look for for financial providers in women, its the other way around. So if you want to feel fulfilled, loved and respected by your woman, career is very important. What the young adults don’t realize is that the real ageism is that they are not only young but that they don’t have the life experiences to give them common sense. My parents grew up in the real Depression. They saw hobos traveling to find work. They used outhouses to go to the toilet. They cooked on coal or wood stoves but had no central heat. My dad pumped the forge at my grandads blacksmith shop in elementary school. I went to work part time at my dads auto shop when I was 14 or so. And I’m grateful for every minute I spent in my teen years working for my dad.

There's a lot of truth here. I know too many women who never got around to having children and it becomes their biggest regret once they pass the age that they can conceive. I don't know if that's true of everyone though. My ex couldn't have children due to a genetic disorder, and she didn't really care either way. I think that it is possible to find meaning in other things, like mother Teresa did, but you certainly won't find that kind of fulfillment from your career or possessions. Those things are vain. For me, I have a great career, a nice house, and good health, but it all means nothing to be honest. I'm still hoping I find the right girl someday, but most girls today sneak around and cheat, even the Christian ones, so it's a difficult era to start a family in sadly. I was chasing carrier until I was comfortable with where I was...but at the same time I was always try to be in a relationship....then when I was 42 I decided to get married with a man that was at the same predicament as me...and then we have a son when I was almost 45 and my husband almost 48. While life was not always sunshines and flowers...we are still together and happy we decided to have a family and today we are still enjoying it with our 13 year old son. So yes...woman exist and man isn't suck. Oh in my case my husband and I are both hold a master degrees and have very good careers.

Can someone please explain why the Pokémon questions? Perhaps it’s a generational dilema or the fact that I’m not American, so I’m not sure if these references are an inside joke or compliment to her. However, if they are trolling her, this is very off putting behavior for men to display, especially when they start off their comment on something (pseudo) thought provoking, and as a woman not very knowledgeable of this culture, would find this behavior very petty and off putting. He/they would certainly not be candidates for survival of the fittest.

The “trans man” who claims to be so happy being a man doesn’t really seem very happy. 😬 Just an observation. I also find it interesting they chose to ask Abby why they were miserable being a woman. Seems that should be a question asked to a licensed therapist in a private setting.
I don't think a trans person is likely to be very happy talking to an anti-trans speaker, I highly highly doubt that guy is miserable all the time. And yes, the majority of trans people actually *do* talk to therapists about being miserable as their assigned gender, they almost never just go off a hunch or one thing somebody said once.

I was chasing carrier until I was comfortable with where I was...but at the same time I was always try to be in a relationship....then when I was 42 I decided to get married with a man that was at the same predicament as me...and then we have a son when I was almost 45 and my husband almost 48. While life was not always sunshines and flowers...we are still together and happy we decided to have a family and today we are still enjoying it with our 13 year old son. So yes...woman exist and man isn't suck. Oh in my case my husband and I are both hold a master degrees and have very good careers.

She said her voice changed to male, and while I can somewhat agree to that, I can also hear the woman in the voice. When she spoke, I looked at my screen to see who was speaking and I had questions. She provided the answers rather quickly.
