Thank you so much. I didn't know what the flat black suction base was used for, it's ideal for removing every last drop of water. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge!
Great video thanks. Mine is saying to put vegetable oil in it each time to prime, but I'm using this as a secondary pool pump to get small debris of the bottom of the pool. Do i need to print with oil? Can the inlet hose be 15ft? It's the same size hp
Maybe you can help me Brad. I need a strong sucking electric water transfer pump to suck out rain water out of boat bilge using the end of a hose. Our very old Simmer mini vac pump has been difficult. Any advice or suggestions would be really appreciated. Jim
I have a sump pump currently which I inspect and service as needed. It only runs once or twice a year when we get heavy rainfall. My concern is, when we get heavy rain it's usually during a thunderstorm and we will frequently also lose power so, our sump pump won't have power. I heard you say this is not a sump pump and I get that but, could I use use this as a backup to the sump pump in instances where we don't have power? Obviously, I'll have to deploy it, and turn it on and off manually but what other alternatives are there than a manual bilge pump or a transfer pump? Sump pumps with battery backup are prohibitively expensive...
Yes this is a great back up to have, or perhaps look at the Milwaukee stick pump. Or look at getting a small pump that you could hook up to the Milwaukee “Top up”, lots of options for ya
I have about a hundred foot by fifty foot patch of stickers/sand burrs that come up every summer on 2 lots I have that does not have a source of water, therefore I cannot use a preemergent and then water it into the soil to prevent the stickers from growing and cannot control them by mowing, if I miss a week of mowing I go and find stickers. I was thinking of putting a water tank on my utility trailer with a ball valve to open and close it at the bottom out to a water hose, hook it to a pump like this, and go out with a short hose with an adjustable nozzle on the end, and power it with a car/riding mower battery. I am hoping I can put out the preemergent and then use this pump/watering set up to water the grass to water in the preemergent and keep the stickers from even growing starting next summer. Do you think this will work? If it is even half as powerful as a standard outdoor water faucet and hose at a home I think it will work great. Thank you for the video.
Can I hook a garden hose to this and then a pistol grip nozzle spray to the end? If the sprayer is not on will it damage the pump as the pump is continuing to try and pump water?
will it not burn the pump out if you have it on a garden hose? im trying to find a way for my detailing business but worried if i do this it'll kill the pump being turned on and water not flowing
you would have to have an opening big enough to fit the bottom of the stick into it. you would be better off with milwaukee's 18v transfer pump. that unit just requires a hose
When using it with a pressure washer, do you have to turn the transfer pump off if you stop using the pressure washer. For instance, if you spray off your vehicle and then stop spraying while you hand wash, do you need to turn the transfer pump off or does it have some type of pressure switch. Thanks
Im about to find out lol I am putting one of these as an inline pump from my buffer to tank to my pressure washer so i can do a Job this weekend (customer has no outside water hookup) The 12v water pump I bought looks like this one, but its a different brand with more flow. 330 GPH, which is around 5.5 gallons per min. My pressure washer pump is rated at 4.7 gpm. Hopefully this works
I seen a video where a guy put a splitter on the pressure side of the pump and ran a hose back into the tank and the other hose to the pressure washer. When you let off of the trigger, it just keeps pumping the water back to the tank. I havent tried it yet but i feel like it should work

Happy it helped you, thanks for watching! 😊
Thanks for the information. Applies to the Everbilt I purchased but instead just plugging into an outlet. Pumping out the water underneathe the house

I recently needed to educate myself on how to use these and this video was awesome and super helpful. Thank you!

i am interested in pump purchasing?
Does a pump like this also come with an automatic on/off so you don’t have to turn on and off manually?
Great video, very informative!

Can you put a check valve on these?

Can you put a water regulator on these pumps I need to be able to pump the correct water flow for a gold sluice box
I think you might damage the pump if you regulate the flow. I haven’t tried it though.
Can transfer transmission oil with this pump?
Can I hook a garden hose to this and then a pistol grip nozzle spray to the end? If the sprayer is not on will it damage the pump as the pump is continuing to try and pump water?
Yes I feel like it would damage it. I did what you’re asking to a cheap AZ pump, and it burnt out.
Will this work to attack to tankless water heater for off grid camping.? Thank you,
Yeah I think it would work. It’s just a pump, check what your gpm is on your heater and compare it to the gpm on the pump.
Will this push antifreeze through a Home, hot and cold water lines for winterization?
Yeah I don’t see why not. It might take a bit longer than a pump with more gpm but I think it would work for ya.
Would that still work if you attach a hose to the outlet side?
Yes definitely
If u were to put an rv filter where will you put it, inlet or outlet?
@@hectorrivera3925 I would say inlet, but i have no experience with RVs
Can u use it to drain , gasoline out of a gas tank. To install a fuel pump?
@@tonyfinn1978 no I don’t think I would use it with gas.
will it not burn the pump out if you have it on a garden hose? im trying to find a way for my detailing business but worried if i do this it'll kill the pump being turned on and water not flowing
Yes I think if water isn’t flowing it will probably burn out. You could wire up a remote to turn the power on and off when you need it.
@@hammerandhome I’m trying to find a proper pump for this as I know there is kill switches like sump pumps but not sure if it comes in utility pumps
Do you think this can work to drain my turtle tank it’s about 20 gallons.
Definitely, a bit pricy though. You could just get a hand pump that creates a siphon effect. Way cheaper.
Thanks!
Your welcome, thanks so much!
Can you used it to drain a water bed?
you would have to have an opening big enough to fit the bottom of the stick into it. you would be better off with milwaukee's 18v transfer pump. that unit just requires a hose
Is this safe for drinking water?
I don’t think the parts in the pump are food grade plastics.
with all the positives it would have taken them no time to label which is in and which is out
True. 🫤that would be nice
I dropped the motor into my hottub. Did I ruin this brand new pump?
When using it with a pressure washer, do you have to turn the transfer pump off if you stop using the pressure washer. Same question I'm wondering! Any updates? Looking fot answer
