. You don’t need a female to female. You attach the female side of the clear hose to the in flow, and you use another hose from your house and attach the female side to the out flow and that how that works. Only reason your situation was different was because you have a male end on the tank, you could have changed that to a female style, or a double female hose or like what you bought. But they send you the way it comes is because that is how most people use these pumps
Great video...I was looking at 1/10 HP pumps and obviously 1/8 is not enough to cover a 25' by 25' garden...I will likely consider 1/4 or 1/2 HP transfer pump for the sake of utility. Subscribed. Thanks!
I tried to set mine up and I could tell it was trying to pull out water, but the water would never actually make it to the pump. Did you do anything special here to get it going?
@@stevii6518 you have to make sure that water is already running through the pump before it will pull water on its own. In my case, I had a hose going from a rain barrel to the pump. I opened the valve so water would start to pour out. Then I attached the hose on the other end and turned it on. Best of luck!
I'm ready to do A over seeding and aeration towards the end of this month. I have four rain barrels that need to be emptied out and I will use that water to water the new seeds. This transfer pump is still working like a charm a little bit loud and noticeable but it still works.
HEY GARY! The only real reason me and other people use rain water is to save on the water bill lol. Some lawn enthusiast may say that rain water is better because it's natural. I think its debatable, my indoor plants are very healthy from tap water. I want a good looking lawn and that requires a lot of watering and a bill increase. I use those drums (200gallons)like its nothing just on the back yard alone!! the front yard is a little smaller sorry for the long answer, Im long winded.
As a detailer this is not a good one I just replaced mine back in November and now in 2 months it broke on me again so I’m looking for something better where the plastic part doesn’t crack
Wow 😮 sorry to hear that. Mine is still going strong but you use yours for work and I use mine just for watering grass so I don't use mine as much as yours. Did you get a new pump yet? I'm looking for a new pump this season.
Just go my pump for tankless heater. Holy shit it's annoying 😒 squealing sound it makes. I see yours the same. Lol. I might be getting another pump, I'll prefer some sound over squealing suffering sound affect. Water pressure is good tho.
Buddtwin2 has it right. I have using mine for years and the clear hose is the suction hose. Regular hose up to 3/4 inches connects to discharge side.

np thanks!!! I'm currently looking for a new pump that does more coverage.
Thanks for the video, Just what I was looking for. I was wondering how "quiet" it was. It's not that quiet lol
lol its not quiet at all but if you have water in the rain barrels it works perfect!!
Compared to some of the other transfer pumps this one is quieter.
Should have bought a Little Giant in stead. It s smaller, less noisy and pumps way better. Still, thanks for all the fittings info.
Which model? I'm current looking for a new pump as we speak. thanks for the info

Nevermind, I forgot to prime the pump first!

Anyone know where to find more motor replacement brushes?
Sorry, I haven't seen a motor replacement. You may have to contact the manufacturer
We just brought one at Harbor freight haven't used it yet
It’s good. Water your plants grass or transfer water. Can’t go wrong 👍🏾

Would this work for a pressure washer
I pretty sure it will work if you don't have enough pressure coming out from your home. They have more online that discharge more psi
nah bro I have this on my pressure washer and gets over heat I'm going to return it
@@hugo8992 works for with no problem just leaks
Hi, what is your logic behind using rain water? If you let tap water sit for a few days, the chlorine breaks down and it should be o.k. for the lawn.

Mine is leaking why is that
Where is the leak?
Mine leaks from the bottom screw
