I chose the QuadLock system with the vibration dampener and the iPhone charger and it works flawlessly on my Honda Rebel CMX1100 DCT. I do agree that it takes a little bit of effort to get my phone mounted onto the charger, but it is tolerable. The charging mount is awesome, just twist, lock and charge. Outstanding, concise and very informative video that’s easy to understand. Thank you! 👍 🇺🇸
I went for SP connect as the charging and anti vibration module was cleaner looking, but it looks like both do the same thing and are quite similar and effective.
Great video! I'm now trying to choose from these two. I would add that for Quadlock wireless charger doesn't work with the universal adapter, and that SPConnect has a clamp-style universal adapter as well besides the sticking one. Also, Quadlock states that you shouldn't stick their universal adapter to silicon cases (which the most normal cases are) and SPConnect states that they have "achieved good results sticking it to silicone cases".
I have been looking at SP Connect universal mount + vibration damper for a while, but it's really hard to get any feedback on them, if you purchased one, please share your experience - good and bad.
@@peterlv I've ended up buying quad lock (new phone + case + mount, wireless charger, dampener) I really like it. Mounting can indeed be frustrating sometimes because I don't find the right spot immediately (if you know what I mean), but I can't say any real issue with it. One more advantage that this video doesn't mention is that quad lock's adaptor has a feature that allows it to be connected to the battery directly without draining it constantly (only charging above 13.5 V, so when the motorcycle is running), in my case it made the installation so much easier.
@@TI-rg4snGlad you find a solution that works for you! I still don't like idea of buying case for each phone, and don't really like either of cases, so universal mount is what I am still looking at.
Great video and testing. I'd just like to precise that the old vibration dmeper from SP and the new one have nothing in common. The new one wich is the only one you can buy today is three times bigger, has a different design and materials. Comparing the old SP connect and the newer Quadlock gives a wrong image. Still a really good video, yet another one from 1000PS, say hello to NoPain666 from me.
Quad lock MagSafe case don't charge anymore with the iPhone 15 pro :( SP connect works fine with it! Contacted Quad lock and the answer was "its not their fault that Apple changed the distance of the magnets and will not fix the problem in their case".... So bye bye Quad lock!
20:02 I wish he wasn't using it before without the anti-vibration module as it would be more apples to apple comparison. As he used it without the anti-vibration, it might have damaged the phone already. Then he proceeded to say that quad lock is better, but the test wasn't fair anymore. I don't know which one is, but I wish there would be more reliable information, not half-truths.
Except for one SP Connect Universal Case the phone cases do not envelope the phone completely, so they are not waterproof. But most phones nowadays are, so we never had a problem with that.
I think both brands have a weather cover option available that goes over the top of your phone if it's raining... Even though most phones are waterproof I don't fancy subjecting my phone to loads of water so I got the weather cover (SP connect).
they compared both anti-vibration modules to each other (2020 sp-connect anti vibration). At least that is what they said. The video footage is showing the non-vibration one however, so that may have been misleading.
they say they compare the old SP connect demper and the newer from QuadLock. Had they compare it with the newer SP Connect Demper the difference would be none. But they state their experience and it's fair enough. I don't doubt that they express their real opinion and experieces.
30 minutes of video for informations that I already get from the websites...and not a single advice about what would be better to buy for the different vehicles. Useless.
He said his Iphone broke with 2020 SP-connect anti vibration module after about 3000km and the same didnt happen with Quad-lock after even more km. Did you find that on the website too? The decision depends on usecase and personal preference/taste is their conclusion
@@Arobanwins yes, on a motorbike. Btw it is an iphone problem specifically, and it is an information you can find almost everywhere when you do research about this kind of support. This is why the vibration reduction supports were made. But it is a problem of ALL this kind of supports, not only quadlock or SP.

Very professionnal test ! Congrats from Belgium 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Very well done. Unbiased and thorough. Thank you!

Look into Peak Design. A bit more expensive but I think they are the winner in this category.

Yeah their customer service is total garbage as well.

He compared the quad lock with anti vibration to the sp connect *without*.... not exactly the most scientific or fair comparison here.
