    I had a crush washer get stuck on my ar15 the same exact way. You don't have to cut it off, what you can do is turn it at an angle and then get a pipe wrench and turn it down the threads. The Crush Washer is a softer metal than the barrel so it will not damage the threads. I've done it on my ar15 and it did not harm the threads whatsoever. You just need to be careful not to over tighten the pipe wrench. Just give it enough pressure to turn the Crush Washer along the threads and it should work just fine.

      Thystaff Thywill actually Scars hold their resale value pretty well. If I was to sell my 16 in the market right now, I would make a $600 profit. ARs don’t hold their value nearly as well

    • @captkerk671
      @captkerk671 4 года назад +3

      Thystaff Thywill go watch Mr.guns and gears interview with Battle Field Vegas about full auto round counts. The Scar is the most reliable weapon in their inventory. They have one with over 200,000 rounds and it’s still up and running. An AR could never achieve that round count. When they held the military trials to replace the M4, the M4 had twice as many malfunctions than a Scar. So yes the scar does things better than an AR. To say an AR is just as good is disingenuous at best. The only reason is wasn’t adopted was because of cost (the contract always goes to the lowest bidder-see Sig P320 adoption.

I also have a CZ Bren 805 S1 I picked up for 1300.00. The only issue I have is the orifice around the gas block has some wear. Might get the Bren 2 in 7.62 x 39. John S I’m not talking about setting 2 I’m talking about the 3rd position it has no port hole and is a gas shut off which doesn’t have much of a practical civilian use unless maybe your a contract hit man lol. I’m saying drill a smaller hole in that position for a less gas suppressed setting.

    • @Civiliansoldier762
      @Civiliansoldier762 4 года назад

      John S because from the video the suppressed setting obviously is still way overgassed when you can run in the suppressed setting with the gas cut back and no suppressor on and it still is cycling with no issues. That means when you put a can on it will probably be way over gassed. A smaller port size would give you the ability to shoot it with a suppressor on and have a softer shooting less violent action. Then if it was really dirty you could switch to the regular suppressor setting 2.

    Why is everyone calling the CZ Bren a SCAR copy or Czech SCAR? I thought the design was based on the HK G36. I think I read something like both the SCAR and the Bren are heavily influenced by the G36.

    Overall the gas system on the ms2 is superior to the 805. The off position could be used for a precision shot regardless of being suppressed. No gas, bolt won't move. Bolt gun. Just sayin.
    Some are considering methods to have the ms2 regulator properly drilled to match their suppressor or for minimum gas, etc. The internet jury is still out on this.
    Ergos on the ms2 are exceptional compared to the 805, but the simplicity of the 805 is something often overlooked.
    The 805 trigger is increadible for an OEM item. The ms2 isn't too far behind and upgrades are already available.
    Great Channel !!!

    The reason the gas whole is bigger on standard gas cycle is than on the pistol. That reason is, that the gas piston is longer and has more weight so they have to offset that to make it reliable under any condition.
    Well at least that my theory.

    I love my bren 2s, currently my favorite rifle/pistol. I plan on getting a carbine at some point but man I really would have preferred a lighter weight barrel vs the heavy they decided to go with. I'm sure they could have knocked off a pound from the weight if they did which I would value more. Bren2s are surprisingly light weight and very comparable to standard AR15 weights

    • @thephantomzoneboxing
      @thephantomzoneboxing 4 года назад +1

      if its lighweight what would a lighter barrel do give you a over heated innacurate barrel during rapid fire?

    • @sadnessinside123

    • @biggboysouth
      @biggboysouth Год назад

      @@sadnessinside123 Id highly recommend you look up faxon barrel tests. Modern manufacturing has vastly improved heat dispersion issues to where on something like a general purpose combat rifle the slight increase in group size after you mag dump a couple magazines is negligible.

  • @nelsonoberg9747

    I think the barrel is thicker for the 7.62 version so to save money. Instead having 2 different gas blocks one for 7.62 and one for a thinner barrel 5.56.

    Tim, from video games to guns to dungeons & dragons, many companies are listening less and less to their customer base about product design. I don't know why except they're going for what's more profitable and easier to produce, piss on what the customer base wants. I really like this gun and will be picking up my first CZ firearm, a Scorpion, after this shut down is over. I put it in lay away so as not to lose it to someone else. I understand that there is a large aftermarket for parts on the Scorpion that people don't like them stock as much as they should. This company attitude seems to carry over into the Bren as well. Great guns but goofy aspects that don't consider the desires of the customer. Oh well, maybe that will change soon?

    Beauty is defiantly subjective, I think it looks really nice with the barrel, handguard, and break. Something I don't like though it for roughly $2,000.00 you don't have any factory sights. I know most people are going to use optics, but IWI puts at least some cheap flip sights that are integrated into the rail, I don't know why more manufactures don't do this as well. The gun already is kind of pricey, but then the added expense of an optic or some cheap irons I don't know why more people don't copy the Tavor/IWI in that aspect.
