    Are you using a mouse or pen in Photoshop? Looks pretty fast

    Hi there , Hows the batch Sony a7r3 files editing on iMac Pro like about 600 to 1000 batch processing, syncing , exporting ? I use PC 8700k now for A7r3 files and its not slow but its gets slower comparatively than previous, Maybe its the SSD

      Subir Thapa the iMac pro is amazing. Yes it’s fast and has no problems with the A7RIII

      @@SierraCreative Hi mate , One more question , Hows the Work Flow apart from Exporting images like scrolling , Zooming in out, Syncing in mass, opening and closing color basis sharpening as such . All these with batch processing again.

    How do you find working on the glossy screen on the iMac Pro?

    • @SierraCreative
      @SierraCreative  5 лет назад +1

      David Salter I like it. I also have a LG that is connected that isn’t glossy. My work environment allows for both fine. It’s good to have both now. A lot of work I shoot goes to social which is consumed primarily on mobile devices with glossy screens anyways. When I’m printing I use the matte monitor with the xrite pro attached.

    Hi, I recently bought the iMac Pro after the March update. With 10 core, 64gb memory, 2TB SSD, ATI Vega 64X with 16GB memory.
    I also use Capture One 12 and Sony A7rIII. But I am very disappointed with the performance. The performance in nearly every action in Capture One is not much better than with my older MacBook Pro 15" 2016 with Quad Core.
    Simply stepping from picture to picture is a slow process. It takes nearly 1-2 seconds to see the full sharp picture after it shows the pixelated version and that nearly every time for the same picture. It does not cache anything.
    Also moving a slider for example for exposure is no smooth instand process. The picture view hangs and stutters while moving the slider.

      Christoph Müller I would re-install capture one, check disk permissions, flush ram... sounds like you are having a problem! Is your images on the internal drive or external!?

    • @SierraCreative
      @SierraCreative  5 лет назад

      Christoph Müller maybe you have a bad video card or ssd drive. Do a speed test using the Blackmagic disk speed tool on your local drive.

    • @christophmuller830
      @christophmuller830 5 лет назад

      @@SierraCreative I did the BlackMagic Disk Speed Test: Read: 2443.1 MB/s and Write: 2980.2 MB/s. These are the values to expect that also others are measuring for iMac Pro. Also Geekbench Single Core: Mine: 5675 vs. Ref: 5340, Multi Core: Mine: 39945 vs. Ref: 36234 and OpenCL: Mine 157350 vs. Ref: 185373. Every value is normal. The OpenCL is a bit lower, but not much. Also Apple Hardware Diagnostics (Pressing D after turning on) says everything okay.

      Christoph Müller in full resolution. I’m really shocked you’re having issues.

      Thinking of diving in for an iMac Pro for lightroom use / late 2015 5k is running sooooo sloooow.....are the issues you had a year ago still exist?

    I also hate the fact that i cant use Capture One with my GFX. If i REALLY want to use Capture one with the GFX, i have to convert the files. Most of the time i use Iridient Developer, you should try it. It might be a little too simple of a program, but you the the best out of your images. There is no way i will use lightroom with the GFX. I just received my 110 today. Cant wait to use it!

      The 110 f/2 is amazing!! I’m actually converting the files to tiff with X-raw and developing in Capture One 11 - that seems to be the best workflow at this point. I’m not a big fan of iridient, but I might give it another try.....

      You can import the files to another software and batch-rename the camera, the it should work i Capture One :-)
