I mean, that was made fairly clear imo. Silco's monologue about power was just about connecting his backstory to his use of Shimmer. Otherwise, the only reason Silco seemed to have for wanting independence is "respect" and "Vander wanted it too".
@@EvkeJ Yeah, but not only had Vi become a threat to the dream that he, Vander, and Felicia shared, she had also *seemingly* abandoned Powder when she was at her lowest point in life. I also think your twos reaction to the "hug" is the BEST I've seen so far from reactions. Seriously, even I tear up watching reactions of that scene.
I can tell these two crying the hardest when it's about siblings and family cause I'm literally the same. when you have a sibling yourself you feel stuff like this on a whole different level
It's subtle, but I think this episode is a big one for Caitlyn. She learns Ambessa has been up to sketchy stuff behind her back. She sees in this doctor the person she could become if she continues down her current path, a monster using love for a deceased family member as an excuse to do terrible things to the innocent people of the undercity. And she sees that many of the "perverse abominations" in Zaun, like Warwick and Shimmer and maybe even Jinx, wouldn't exist without the abuse and mistreatment of uncaring individuals from Piltover like him and... herself perhaps?
What was also a nice call-back for me was the fact that the song Vi and Jinx's mom plays on the jukebox is the song that plays in season 1 when Vander serves Powder during episode two (dropping the straw in precisely the same way) when he realizes Vi is going to give herself up to the enforcers.
I think it's literally the same cup! The one Powder drinks out of is all old and scuffed. She drew a starry scene on the exterior, with the scuffs as the centers of the stars.
This show is about love and family. What people are willing to do for a loved one, the pain they feel when they lose a loved one (death or falling out). Losing their family is the worst thing that happen to our characters. Reconnecting with loved ones is how they heal.
Dude, out of all the channels I watch reacting to, both Brazilian and American, you two were the ONLY ones who got the scary and creepy vibe of Viktor's situation and those he heals. Which in my mind doesn't make sense that most people don't think so too. It's really weird that he can enter people's minds like that and speak through their bodies, and how Salo completely changed his personality.
So many people loves Viktor so much at the point they could see him killing a person with a knife and say its all right. The creepy vibes are intended, most reactors i watched mentioned it being a hive mind and compared it with creepy movies, people who watch the show in a more neutral attitude can judge the things better.
@@TheRezyni watched a reactor that said they hated Jayce & it aggravated me a little because they never give a plausible & sensible explanation as to why they stated that opinion. They’re so shallow & completely oblivious to the nuances that are imperative for understanding a character.:

There was no breath animation for Salo in that cold chamber. It sure looks like Viktor's "healing" comes after that "affliction" Singed is trying to cure.
"He's your dad too." And Jinx finally feels like she has her family back, like she's been forgiven by both Vander and Vi for what she did way back then. Brutal episode 😭
i really think its a "brother sister" thing with silco vander and felicia kinda like the gang of vi, powder, clagor and mylo wich seems like a common occurrence in zaun
16:21 I think what makes the scene especially powerful is Powder/Jinx's story. All her life she felt and believed that everyone around her always dies because she's a jinx and she breaks everything around her. And it was that night - that one decision - that started her on this path. We all have things we wish we could take back or do differently. For Jinx..... well, this is it. Vander is still alive. Meaning she _didn't_ break everything. 99%, sure but not everything.
I don't think I've cried harder over a show than in this episode. Man, seeing them being a family again, and Jinx being able to be happy was absolutely amazing but also super sad 😢
as someone who also has sisters, I said the exact same thing when vi and jinx started fighting 😂 I have definitely had a similar fight (though less violent) with mine
"Physical characteristics... can see both of them in her... and mannerisms" ...and voice. Haven't looked, but that's gotta be Jinx's voice actor. And these writers... one of the things so impressive is that they've made us care-really care-for Isha so quickly.
I didnt even notice until now.. but the thing thats with Mel is Leblanc ... shes using her illusions to shapeshift ... and shes using her "chains" to crowd control (CC) the people and kill them .. the other things is that maybe Jayce was transported to the void, i hope he was so we can get a glimpse of this place
Isha makes a world of difference for Jinx, it stabilizes her, the moment Isha was snatched and thrown in that jail, that's when Jinx lost her sh*t again. After getting her back, Jinx stabilized again to the point of actually being the bigger person than Vi, of all things... ISHA
The parallels are CRAZY! Salo/Viktor telling Jayce "Somethings happened. You seem.. different.." is exactly what Heimerdinger told Viktor after he touched the Hex Core for the first time. "I can't let you leave.." Is what Jayce told Vi when she was going to walk out with the Hex Gauntlets. Only this time, Jayce really meant it. Something he saw while in the Wild Rune messed him up BAD.
There's quite a few, in act one Caitlyn is in the gardens, Jayce finds her "how did you find me?" Same as Mel finding Jayce in the blacksmith room (I think episode 7?) "how'd you find me?"
The cup, straw, and orange juice Vander gives Felicia is the same cup, straw, and orange juice that Vander gives Powder in season 1 episode 2 when Vander realizes Vi is going to turn herself in to the enforcers. The same exact song is playing on the jukebox! The cup Powder uses is all scuffed up, since it's been around for years. At some point she drew a starry scene on the cup, using the scuff marks as the centers of stars. Clearly, she loves that cup. This is one of my favorite parallels thus far, and nobody notices it. Edit: Actually, I see someone commented on the song and straw being the same.
Me too. Seeing their happy past and imagining what could have been was too much. Jinx is an MVP of the season but this episode it was a Jinx I didn't know I needed. Not a crazy lunatic but pretty much older Powder.
My prediction is that Ekko, Heimer and Jayce are merged into one mind. They are entangled similar to how Vander and the Beast are an entangled mind in Warwick. It holds up if you see how Viktor and the healed are a hivemind or that Sky and Viktor are always together. The arcane can merge or fracture minds and their collective ego death was painful. They want to destroy the arcane to regain their individuality as much as anything else.
Why nobody talks about how much light this flashback shines on Silco and Jinx’s relationship? Now we’ve learned that he was also friends with her mother and promised to always look out for them. So it wasn’t just Silco taking under his wing a stray child he found and saw himself in. He took in his friend’s child, the driving force of their movement.
I think much like vi in act 1… he got lost. After the death of the mother. Vander focused on taking care of the children and Silco focused on Zaun. “Blisters & Bedrock”
@@MRST0R I think in the immediate aftermath of Vander's death he wanted to recruit her. But then after he bonded with Powder, he recognized that Vi was a threat to his relationship with his "daughter" and resolved to kill her, since by the time he learned of her reappearance it was far too late for Vi and Jinx had already surpassed all his expectations. Well we knew that Vander and Silco were close enough that they called each other brother so it’s not surprising that he was close with Vi and Jinx’s parents as well. But it does add some nice depth.

@@Amplefire I mean, the Underground was even worse before he came a long, Shimmer being a drug was more of a side effect, it was meant as a weapon. They should put "Watch Arcane" as the definition for the word "tragedy" in dictionaries. What a tragedy all these people's lives have been... Vander, Silco, Jinx, Vi and all those poor people of Zaun crushed between barons and rich Piltover governors. Especially Vander's story rips my heart whenever I think about it. What a tragedy...
I don't think Salo is in that body anymore. I believe his body is now just a vessel for a Void entity. Every time Viktor "heals" someone, the original person/soul is ejected and makes room for a Void entity so that more and more of the Void can be corporealized and begin to consume reality. That's my working theory anyway. I don't think Viktor knows he's doing this since I'm convinced he doesn't understand--and never has--that the hexcore was a Void seedling all along. Heimerdinger tried to warn Viktor and Jayce about this, but failed to articulate it fully and properly. And now we have the beginnings of a Void Rift growing in the undercity. If it isn't destroyed in time, it could annihilate all of Runeterra, or at the very least wipe out another huge chunk of the continent just like what happened to the kingdom of Icathia.
If you want an ekstra cool detail go look up who Singed daugther is :) if you played Leauge you know who it is :) i dont think its gonna be a SPOILER dont think they will add her to the seriers as it is about to end in 3 episodes :) but it is a cool Easter egg :D
Honestly it was this episode and the next that had my interest waning a bit. Bringing back Vander cheapens his death from season one. What was the point of Singed summoning Warwick if he was just going to stay in his cell? It seemed like Vi finally accepted that Powder was gone, but now they're teaming up again. It just seems like characters are making choices that either don't make sense or negate previous choices they made. Don't get me wrong, this is still better than half the other shows out there and I'm looking forward to watching the final three episodes, but it just didn't emotionally land with me as much as it seems to with everyone else. 🤷♂

Singeet is just Mr. Freeze from Batman.
what have we done to you arcane writers 😭
Notice the mom's hair, mix blue and red together and what do you get?
Pay attention to 0:53....Jinx has been there, and betting on Vi. Look at the hand. :)
There is a theory about Mel's golden armour but it could be spoilers
