Got me choked up there for a bit....such a nice guy. His wife would have been proud of what he built
Sorry for the loss. On a happier note, ive seen the truck in person. Its an immaculate build with amazing craftsmanship.
Best episode by far. I’m sorry for your loss, she’s definitely smiling down on you and with you everywhere you go!
Facts the passion from his voice show exactly the truck was designed as a tribute to his wife....... hope he keeps it for a very long time
RESPECT On THE BUILD brother!!...Your Wife...i'm sure is Smiling from Heaven!!
You know we all need to have something in our lives to get our minds off of tragedy. This was one healthy activity and time well spent to make amends with whatever it is around us that keeps our lives afloat, and our hearts in tune. Rockin chairs were made to cradle idle minds into early graves.
You drive that truck like my Dad used to drive his 68 F100. Had power to spare from a 375hp headed 390 with a 3 speed. Though he chose 2.76 rear gears and just poked it along in high gear until the lanes were completely clear to open her up a little. Driving like a captain and not a racer... Dad would have admired this truck...
I met Lou and his truck in Pleasanton @ Good guys and he was really helpful. Really cool guy. Advised me on how to build my F100
Condolences on your wife. I must say I bet she is amazed with this stunning truck. That’s my dream truck right there. Wouldn’t change a thing you did. Absolutely gorgeous. Hats off to you sir. 🧢
So so sorry for your loss brotha. In loving memory.
I’m a C-10 guy but I do love all of those late 60’s Chevy and Ford trucks. Just beautiful! Well done my man!
What a great guy. Love the truck and the emotion poured into it
Sensational build and an amazing tribute to your Wife as she would be super proud sitting next to you clocking up the miles ❤
Love the fact it's an at-home old school build. Dependable drivetrain and the in-the-weeds look is really cool. The patina paint job looks really good. Be safe and stay well.
I normally like my trucks 4 wheel drive and tall but I really don’t mind the look of this thing sitting way down low, love the side exhaust!! Really nice interior too, those seats look amazing and super comfortable 👍
Amazing build. Love the patina. If ur reading this, sorry for your loss brother. 👊
I just realized why I like this channel so much. Everyone you interview is relatable to someone. No egos, no playing it up for the camera. Just genuine people. Keep it up guys, thanks for the content.
Lous first words : “ I did everything !” Lol. I would be proud of this sick build too. Beautiful truck. ! 👍🏻
He didn't do everything... He ordered the chassis.

... and the interior
I lost my best friend, my dad, almost 4 years ago, i cry everyday becauae i miss him. Hugec inspiration in my military career. Daughter bf just lost his great grandmother of 103 yesterday. I comforter him holding and both crying last evening on the front of our house. After being in the USMC, I only hate one thing. Death to loved ones. Enjoy what you have!🇺🇸💯🙏🤙🏻
This is one bad 67 F100. I love the patina/clean interior from the future. I also love that he doesn't flog on it during the video and the personal touch to this video tops em all. Not all "hotrodder" are in it for the same reason. Nothing wrong with building something just for a cruiser. I've always had fast to me vehicles, but never found the need to beat them. As always, top notch production and content from the AutotopiaLA crew. Thanks team.
Awesome build, I'm sorry for your loss brother. I noticed the Ford Era sticker on the back window, hopefully Solomon will do an episode of What The Truck on this bitchin' F100.
reckon Ford Era did this truck about a yr ago .. thinking at battle of bama.
could be wrong though 👍
clean and simple cruiser .. his wife would be proud 👌👌
Sweet F100. I love that he's driving it across the country. I'm glad he was comfortable with keeping the stuff about his wife in the video. It's part of the story of the truck.
Lou - so very sorry to hear of your loss. It’s so humbling and amazing that you’ve found a way of honoring your wife to propel you thro’ this build in her memory. I love that you’ve been totally un-compromising with your individuality.
Gotta like that one...just something about it good job boys nice piece.
I can feel the poor guy's pain. Got me choked up! He did her proud with that labor of love.
There are so many things I love about that truck, one of many is the paint; patina on the outside, then like new under the hood , on the interior & in the box!
My condolences RIP. Sweet truck. Rare build. You don't see too many of this model year. Perfect daily driver.❤🤑👍😎😎😇
From one car guy to another virtual hug to you brother. Glass raised to the Mrs.
its got that Cheech impala patina from Up in smoke..luv it..i miss my '70 F100
What a great looking Truck. Great build and sorry for your loss.
Kills me how people give shit over their cars. Every car guy has a passion and a vision. If you don’t like their car so what. Appreciate what they love it makes them happy. The patina paint scheme is art great job with this build.
That truck is what you call a passion of love , best one on my book Autotopia 👍
Great shoot, Shawn! So cool he shared with you the real meaning of that truck to him. One of the best videos in your library
I've seen this thing in person . It's absolutely awesome!!!!
This is a nice tribute to his wife built by a nice guy. Sorry for your loss sir. Also this is one of my favourite builds that I've seen in this channel.
Building a truck like that is a great way to not lose yer mind after a great loss like that. Good truck🤙🏻😎
Sorry about your loss! You have built a beautiful truck, and I know she would be proud of it and that it's dedicated to her.👍✌😎
Absolutely love this build! It turned out awesome! What a great tribute to his wife. Seems like such a genuinely cool guy. Much love!
Love everything about this build--the back story, the patina, wheels, all of it! Truly a labor of love!
God bless Lou and his truck. it was very touching that he was willing to share his story, and how his wife lives on through that truck. not only is that truck beautiful, but the character and soul that lives in that truck makes it PRICELESS. I'm sure his wife would be very proud and honored.
God bless this man. Beautiful truck in memory of his wife
My dad passed away on Memorial Day in 1995. That is why this weekend and Father's Day mean a lot to me. That is the reason I build and enjoy my Hot Rods.
Very Cool little Ford Lou
Great components
Love them trucks
Just what I'd drive
Not a ford person by any means. But this truck I would love to own. Great job on the build. So sorry for your loss.
Heartbreaking but im sure she would be proud 👏
Great story, sorry for your loss brother
Lovely build, thank you for sharing your story and this beautiful truck.
Keep on Truckin' bro
The interior looks so cosy, it looks like you wanna read a book in there.
Beautiful truck!
Sick!!
Super clean build done all by himself and what he couldn't do, picked out and installed great! A sick ass cruiser and that front/rear tire offset size looks clean as she rolls by and from the rear view.
Immaculate vibes
Love that interior!
So sorry for your loss buddy. Gah , I went from excited about the truck to shedding tears right with you. God bless you sir. The truck is probably my favorite I’ve seen to date. But now with the back story, this truck is even more special. Gorgeous ride ❤️🙏🏻💪🏻👊🏻
This is one of those 4 ever cars/trucks. It was built to last with love and so long as there's a person to care for the vehicle it's going to run.
Thanks for sharing brother that's one bad ass truck.
It doesn’t need to ever be a shinier gloss or a flashy paint, so much of it has to be based on the reason for the build. My
Sincere condolences to this guy, but I’d do the same damn thing as my wife would have loved that kind of a tribute. Good on ya, brother!! Beautiful ride created out of passion and genuine love 👍🏼👍🏼
Sweet truck. Love the story behind it.
Sweet Ride!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Nice build the only thing I would do is bring up the back of the box to make the body line razor straight.
Awesome tribute! We all build for different reasons, but for in the memory of a loved one has got to be the best.... but also the hardest. Take comfort in knowing she is sitting by your side always.
That might be THE coolest build I have ever seen!
So sorry for the loss of your wife, you f100 is one cool truck, wow the air ride suits the truck,it sounds amazing too.keep on rolling down the road stay safe and enjoy life.
Great looking truck and a fitting tribute to your wife, I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!
the perfect cruiser, just floating along smiling !, class !!!!
Awesome ride. That is cool he left in the part about his wife, very touching.
Great video as always sir. Awesome story with him and his wife. Glad to see you doing more and more trucks in here.
Jesus H Christ on a hobby horse ! ..... that interior is awesome artwork. Who wouldn't want to drive that truck everywhere ? Clean, Clean and did I mention Clean ? 🍻
I watched these videos from this channel all the time and I've never commented... But this is why we do and love cars much love to all you guys over there
What a rad truck! Well done.
Great stuff Lou, what a guy. Beautiful 67 with a beautiful sentiment to go with it. Your wife would be smiling ❤️
Dude when you asked permission…. 100% respect for both of you in that moment. The man loved his wife and the audience needed to see that
Nice
Dude should check out high-torque starters. Other than that, this thing is so cool I love it, its one hell of a daily!
edit: man, I'm sorry for your loss, brother. Life isn't over just yet buddy, there's still more to go and enjoy. 🙏
Looks and sounds beautiful, must be just a joy to be behind the wheel of that thing.
Wow awesome truck with a sentimental story behind it. This is what hot rodding is all about.
Beautiful…….bless you Sir. Such a loss but she’s in the build. Lovely
What a sweet truck! Those seats looked comfortable.
One of the baddest trucks I've seen. Any year, make, model, etc. bar none. Sorry for your loss...my condolences to you, Sir. God Bless.
This is my dream build, almost... mine would be an F100 with an aluminator. But this truck is sweet.
That’s a really nice build and Rest In Peace to buddies wife, she is looking down smiling proud.
Love the truck! Very nice tribute Lou! Keep on truckin’

Great truck, sorry for your loss sir. Didn't catch what was done to the exhaust. Never heard a coyote sound like that.
Totally awesome build!!!!! The perfect daily driver!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
I'm proud you using a "garage" to work on it. I too build things in the garage.
Very touching video. Absolutely a perfect cruiser. As you said there’s a wide spectrum to hot rod building and this guy nailed it for his tastes.
