Duuuuuuuuudeeeeee! I just took delivery of my 2018 GT350 a week ago! I was actually looking at the 2017 AMG C63s (Coupe) like the one you have and also the 2017 Corvette Zo6. I have always been a huge HUGE (in a trump voice) fan of the Mustang's. Ive owned a Mustang since the age of 19. I am now 37 and a PROUD owner of a 2018 Shelby GT350 :) I am one happy camper. I had ended up trading in my 04 Cobra (original owner) since I really don't need 2 sport cars. It was bitter sweet but I just don't have the space. Out with old and in with the new.

This Selby 350 is exactly want I want. But, in Southern California the Ford dealers are marking them up 25k to 35k OVER MSRP. This makes it impossible to buy one. I plan to settle for a GT premium with the performance package. Drive safe and fast everyone.
I still like the 1969 Shelby GT350KR better. If the 2017 gt350r came stock with a roll cage and the rear seats removed, it would top that. Regardless, that is the best paint and stripes color combo for the new mustangs.
dronjones1 Actually there is. I have a book on muscle cars which states their existence. A friend has one, which is 1 of 5. I've looked at the title too. I'm wrong on gt350r seats though.
+Johnathan Yinger I'd take another look at your book. There was never a king of the road edition to the gt350 produced. If anything is out there it's been put together by someone and not a factory Shelby configuration.
I know it. That thing looks terrible and it's displayed right in front! As a matter of fact the 5.2 FPC is nothing special visually. It does run really good though
I never tried it while shooting this video but you might be able to turn the ignition on - put it in sport mode and THEN start it up.. the vehicle will default back to normal exhaust mode every time it's turned off
No you can't unfortunately. Ford is supposed to be coming out with track keys that will let you configure the setting to a specific key but nothing has been officially released.
They are shipped that way to keep the tires from flat spotting, form siting on the lot. They will adjust as part of dealer prep. which hasn't been done yet.

If you are referring to the 2016 GT review I did, that was a base with auto.. I will be doing a 2017 GT review when I get my hands on one, don't know what trim it will be though.. We just had a guy buy a GT and supercharging it to 670HP, all with Ford Performance parts.. it was crazy fast, did not have a chance to film that one though.
I might be alone, but I am not to wild about the retro, early 70's look mustang has had for years now. I much more prefer the fox body which are collectors items now. The other is the exhaust, the fox body's had that very distinctive groan that you knew was a mustang the second you hear it. This exhaust and nearly every other American sports cars exhaust all sound like tenors instead of a bass.
I'm sitting here, having left ownership of a 15 GT, in favor of something more financially responsible and economic, saving up for the next "fun car" in my undetermined future. I've been hoaxing myself to finally turn around and get a Corvette, my childhood dream car. And yet.... ever since my departure with the mustang, the only thought that truly gets my heart going, is the thought of another mustang purchase. Shit. These cars aren't the fastest American sports cars offered, but damn are they the most emotionally charged cars you can buy for the money. I can't even tell you logically why you'd even buy this over a camaro. But having driven the two extensively, I'd choose the mustang every damn time- and over something I can't even put into writing.
Why the GT350 look so good is first and farmost good design. Lines and forms shapes and curves are balanced. VERY UN-AMERICAN!!! For instance.. the c8 is not a particularily bad looking car, BUT! it is one with a ton of off putting styling. lines and geometric forms that clash with one another, curves that done meld well at all with harsh geomertic shapes. the perimeter form in its side profile is that of a eurpean exotic curvy, but from its front to rear profile its form is very much a rectangle with triangles and squares inside. And its very poor in design in that regard. forms that are completely out of harmony with one another. A spoiler that look like it would better suit an 80's compact hatchback. The Shelby on the other hand has really no bad areas of design. Moreover, they did a great job at keeping more or less measure of panel gap throughout, and its very small, which always represent the quality of the build, Because large panel gaps are made to prevent panel rubbing with the car having low rigidity. This shows the GT350's high rigidity and level of detail. Whats really incredible about this is taking into account how tractable the Mustang is. As it serves such a wide range of service. From a lower cost daily rental on up Porsche GT3RS toppling performance. something to think about next time your considering belittling a Mustang, as your only proving you lack of knowledge. Mustangs have been this ways for generations. But in the past it was professional racing outfits like saleen who transformed Mustangs into not just track monsters, with performance decades ahead of what Factory Ford would put out, but proved itself on the highest tier of endurance racing, the 24hrs of lemans. You can get a used 2016 Model for less than 45K now, it's a bit more realistic

The gt500kr does exist but I'm not sure if it was a 69/70s model. There is a Shelby gt500kr if that's what your talking about.
