In Season 1 of the hit SHOWTIME drama ‘Your Honor’ we watched the unraveling of Bryan Cranston’s Michael Desiato, a dedicated father and respected judge who would stop at nothing to protect his son, Adam, from the legal repercussions of a fatal hit-and-run. But an unexpected set of consequences emerges when it’s revealed that the boy Adam killed was the son of an infamous New Orleans crime family. In a season full of twists and turns-heavily underlined by secrecy, familial duty and gray ethics-the ripple effect of each character’s misguided quest for revenge boils over in a shocking finale that perfectly sets the stage for Season 2. So what can we expect to come of Michael’s antihero in the new season, and is there any shot at redemption for the story's broken families? Here’s our breakdown of ‘Your Honor’ Season 1, and everything you need to know before watching Season 2.

Hope he truly breaks bad next season
Well played 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Dude let the fucking role die
@@TannerisSmol97 lol of course not
Your honor was so good. I can't believe there is no season 3. Can't believe it. Can't even believe the scores on it. It's easily and 80% and above series.
Pound
I'll pound that in my head now😅🙄🫠
I gave this show a shot twice, and both times I fell off around the Ep4-5 mark. I just can’t reconcile how much Adam annoys me with everything else in the show lol, glad to finally have a video about it from a quality channel!
Yeah, he was insanely annoying and constantly doing stupid stuff. Drove me crazy. At least he won’t be around for season 2, which I have feeling will be better. Less of a slow burn with more action I hope.
Yes!
I saw him in Wednesday, still being annoying and couldn't place where I'd seen him before.
Then I saw a trailer for season 2 and it all came back.
Good thing he’s dead
Adam is the reason I can’t make it thru season 1🙁 that’s why I’m watching this now lbvs
Same. I had to cut it off before I broke my TV.
My favorite part is how absolutely none of the main characters or supporting characters have a New Orleans accent lol
I thought the same thing!! 😂
I am not even watching this video or reading comments. Just felt compelled to say that I am on Season 1 Episode 5...and this has hit me so hard. What Cofi and his family have been put through...and because of a lie and the subsequent coverup. I know he was not totally innocent...as he was driving the stolen car...but the episode where they killed him...where he walked out of his cell...made me cry. Sometimes, something hits you hard...and you don't really know exactly why. Just had to share.
They honestly could’ve condensed this show into 6 episodes. Would’ve made this 10x better this show was too damn slow
I agree 😅
The whole thing about the black guy having to die for the white kid to get off. I was so sad the way his part ended. You could also see how privileged the white kid was. His father pretty saved him or tried to save him from his sons mistakes. But this happens so much in real life.
for everyone who cant get breaking bad out of your heads, i feel bad for you. this is a really good show
I'm so glad you made a video about Your Honor! This show broke me, I loved it! Things were only getting worse and honestly I couldn't see where it would all end.
The ending was as unfair as it was a relief.
I didn't know there was a second season planned. I could have seen the show end at the end of the first season, but I'm very curious how season 2 is going to pan out.
I don't see Michael becoming the judge he was before everything that happened. Like, i don’t Think it’s physicaly possible. J’ai Perhaps a redemption by another way? Idk but I can't wait
He and Jimmy have even more in common when Fia gives birth to Rocco Adam Baxter 😂
I'm so happy folks like you do this so I don't have to spend some 12 odd hours learning what I can in only 12 minutes, ha ha
The fun is in watching it you tool.
Just a few more days! I haven’t been hooked on a show like this, in a very long time !
Thanks for the recap.
A very dark show, season 1 was tough to get through, I'm hoping there's a little bit of light in the seconds season
I watched the original Israeli Your Honor! and while it was very good, my god does Bryan Cranston do a fantastic job. Maybe I am biased due to BB or I just like the American setting better, but I love this version of the show, so good!!!
Such a good show. I watched it a year ago and forgot about it. Season 2 started out great
awesome recap
Great review. New subscriber.
I’m from New Orleans i love dis show it’s just not New Orleans enough but the plot got it right
damm, so glad kid named finger is going to make a future cameo with saul goodman in season 2!
Great first season !!! Adam is crazy and clueless. Cranson was nuts too haha
Anything with Bryan Cranston in it is always good, i knew i was going to like this show. Very dark but leaves you on the edge of your seat for more.
The subtleties and talking in code are excellent!
When I first saw the ending, I thought it was an amazing twist. Thinking that somehow Eugene figured out Adam was the cause of all this, so he was actually there to kill him rather than Carlo. Then it was revealed it was just a fricken mistake and he missed Carlo. Wtf.
Karma is mentioned at least twice in the show.
hope that Michael gets his redemption and is able to move on or gets really twisted fights for his live and crime boss Paxton gets his revenge ,mike dies (looking forward to seeing how it plays out. )
I would love a small bit of breaking bad to make it here but that won't happen. I'll give it a watch
The judges' kid was so annoying.
He played an annoying character in Wednesday too.
i love season 1 just finished it
I support this content
Looking forward to s2, wasnt even aware it was returning
Your honor I am Saul good man
when are you going to review better call Saul smh
It started so good and I really hoped it's gonna stay like it but it's getting more and more ridiculous, like the bloody rag under the dresser 😂 I mean come on
What is the meaning of the baseball?
It’s was Rocos ball
So was part of the sponsorship deal a pinky promise to not say Breaking Bad or Walter White?
Wait why did he do that with Jimmy son about the murder, like at court why'd he get it to where his son wasn't convicted
Like, as a- ok here's your favor- my turn?
Seems risky
But yeah, is that why?
I keep trying to watch on Netflix but there's so much going on that it is so hard pressed to 😢
Walter white didn't dye .... he became Michael Desiato. A judge.... as you see getting deeper and deeper in trouble like before..... same man kk
The show is entertaining but it makes no sense you’ve got a kid who is the son of a judge and he has an accident with an idiot kid who can’t drive a motorcycle and runs directly into a car. How stupid is that and then he leaves the scene, knowing his dad is a judge, then the judge himself doesn’t do the right thing and then he asked his mayor friend to get rid of the car and that gets screwed up which to me is now on the mayor. But my biggest pet peeve is every person that interacts with the judge seems like they are interrogating him with questions that normal people would not do in normal conversations. I’m sorry, but the writers did not do good on this one. Breaking bad was way better. I feel bad for Brian Cranston, because this show is kind of stupid.
Whew glad Adam is gone Ill keep watching on Netflix lol
This show was a perfect show for about 5 episodes but because of COVID they completely rushed it and it was ruined. I’ve never a seen a show with so much potential completely unravel. The ending was okay but way too many loose ends.
It's hard to say the writers are unpredictable and very grimy.
I'd rather the show went in the direction of the dad and son being honest and dealing with _that_ fallout. Maybe promote the message that telling the truth is hard and painful but the first step in fixing personal lives, families and our decaying civilization. I can't find it entertaining watching fictional characters wrapped in drama stemming from their constant lies - I've seen too many interrogations - liars are nothing more than mentally stunted grown children wasting everyone's time and energy.
I didn't like the ending where Adam gets killed.
He killed somebody and left them there it’s called Karma !
The irony of it. He died almost the same way Rocco died. Chocking on his own blood.....🩸
I was looking more for a review of season 1, so I could start season 2... instead I got some YT channel's opinion on the entire show instead...
This show was hooking me until I realized in episode 2 that they were definitely going to kill Kofi off and let the black kid go down for something a white kid did. Not only that but they killed his mom too and left those kids without a parent. I wanted to like this show but the endless bounds of pushing stories like this in media especially with shows like this is stupid annoying. Not to mention Adam is fuckin annoying and his dad making all these stupid decisions yet being involved with the law is even more annoying. It’s pretty poor writing that everyone seems to be interrogating Michael so much and he’s very obviously suspicious yet nobody catches on. I saved myself the annoyance and just looked up the ending on Google after episode 3 or 4.
It would be nice if you kept the propaganda out
Not very plausible that Adam would "fall in love" w the mobster's daughter; even more so that the respective fathers would not suss it out. These are too big of asks of the audience. That poor actress from Dexter always seems to end up in shows saddled w implausibilities (Dexter is perhaps the best example of a great premise squandered by lazy, implausible writing). Adam is also miscast as a love interest - he seems asexual, which is all the more implausible when we are expected to believe his teacher was his love interest. The best part of the show is how things can unravel in the demonstration of "no perfect crime" and also how passing favors down a chain ups the likelihood of things unraveling. Also, what did the DNA from the recovered inhalers show? Lazy writing
I thought this show ended fine... second season... lol hollywood is drying up...
I'll check it out and see it anyway but it was a clean first season.
It's funny that he's described a dedicated father when his son is sneaking adult women into the house while he's jogging/creeping around black neighborhoods.
🤣🤣🤣
It really sucked. The show was to put some crazy twist together. I watched it wanting to enjoy it but it was constant pain. Watching a bunch of bs.
if you’re a black person that’s sensitive about race & how someone who looks like you is portrayed and treated i do not recommend watching this. the guy who takes the fall for another person’s actions is a young black kid whose 17. then that kids family, expect his younger brother, gets killed because he was the fall guy. it’s black trauma all in a couple of episodes. most of us already know what white privilege leads to and how the justice system treats us. there’s about 93838 shows out here that shows it already. this is just another one of those shows.
Sure, Bryan is great and, yes, the storyline is good, but some of the dialog is hilariously bad. Strangely enough some of the key actors (the entire Baxter family) are just piss poor actors. Third tier actors at best. All the actors under Big Mo are good. Wonder who the casting director was. Another one of those series that should have wrapped up after one season
The finale of season 1 was laughably preposterous. I can’t believe there’s more
Trippin
Why are you here, then?
This show is insufferable and its underlying message is done to death.
Please go back to analyzing movies and TV shows🙏🙏🙏 Instead of talking about trends. Your old content was so beautiful and insightful, your new content gets outdated very quickly. This reminds me of your old content.
Is 'Your Honor' not a TV show?
This is the typical situation when a series should have ended on its first season. Not a happy ending but a just end. DONE.
Season 2 is annoying, nonsensical, full of holes. I could not pass the episode 4.
Police detective, judge, prosecutor, lawyer, US attorney, leader of organized crime, so on, this tv show is all about the females in power controlling New Orleans; simply put, extremely feminism, nothing more, nothing less.
You had me until you said white privilege…
❄️
Well leave
Lol, grow up little boy
“The boundless privilege of white men in America” is exactly why this show isn’t popular.
Well, maybe they need a reality check
Yeah. I am must be doing something wrong because I am not receiving any of the white man privileges this woman is talking about...lol
The recap would be better without all the opinions. Clearly the narrator as a dislike of police and our justice system. And white men
Excellent tv show.
