Analiza
The best thing about producing this episode was that I got to take the extra portions home 🙌🏽😍 shoutout to the amazing ladies and the amazing food!
Replace Analiza.
I second the comments that say replace Analiza and her biased scoring
So lucky!!!
Dude.. no more Analiza, please. There's no fun in the competition if she's gonna manipulate to win.
bat kelangan cassava cake? naguluhan ako haha
it felt like the winner really liked the second lady's cake, then realized that cake might be a winner, and decided it had "too much sweetness". if she gave it a 9 like the other ladies, the second lady would have won. doesn't feel like the first video that she's won with manipulation.
I agree😶
She always low scores
It's not. She intentionally scores low to win. She's definitely done it before. She needs to be replaced.
Brooo I'm glad someone agrees
This is literally the first video I've seen of the series. And from her first score, I was like "I'm gonna keep my eye on this lady. Something's a little fishy". And wouldn't you know it? She ends up low-scoring the other near perfect one, and high scoring the less threatening one. What a fraud.
“I feel like I’m just missing the music and the people.” That’s such a lovely way to describe a cake
Did Analize score the second woman’s cassava cake low because it was too sweet but then scored the third woman’s cassava cake high because it was sweet?? Make it make sense!
She scored the second cake low because it was really good and honestly would've won if she didn't change her mind on it. Sneaky sneaky.
There's a difference between too sweet and sweet though. I guess that's what she meant. 🤷♀️
Mae should have won. Analiza was thoroughly enjoying that cake then suddenly figured since it was soooo good, it might win, so she'd better knock it down. Suddenly she was finding all kinds of things wrong with it.
How is it Joyce and Chantelle both gave Mae's cake 9s but Analiza, cheater that she is, gave a 6? You can see it on her face she loved the cake then you can almost see the light-bulb go off over her head where she realizes that cake is just about perfect. So she way way under-rated it.
Don't include her ever again, please. She threw the scores and didn't deserve the win. It's all in fun - isn't like there is a cash prize or something. How very rude of Analiza.
u guys are seriously thinking way too deep about this. you’ve never taken a bite from food before and thought it was hella good only to realize a lil bit later you actually didn’t like it as much? it’s like you said, there is no prize for winning. you guys seriously come up with crazy scenarios just bc you don’t like someone…
That was the same in the pancit episode. Joyce should’ve won. I didn’t even bother watching this one because I figured the same thing would happen.
@@eTANG0 Nah, this isn't her first time rigging the scores.
@@eTANG0 i agree, too bias on this one.
@@winterwolf211 rigging hahahahaa
Analiza would lick her plate clean at a five star Michelin rated chef’s restaurant, sit back and say “you know it just needed something more…” 🙄
😭😭😭😭😭
That's so true. It's like she can't accept that there are Filipino cooked food taste better than hers 😂
Which she herself can't give
I think one of the women scored that cake low cause she knew it was the competition. We see you ma'am lol.
Lol she did it on the Pancit video, she did as well here. She was obviously enjoying Mae's dish but realised she would give the win to her.
I saw that as well and she does it again in the pancit video
Justice for aunty Mae's cassava cake!
Analize gave that cake a low score on purpose because she knew it was a winner. Ma'am we can see through you, I wonder how the other ladies would feel when they watch this series because this isn't the first time she's done
I hate cheats so much. Wouldn't it be nice to know you won because you were good and not because you were a cheat?!!! Ughhhh
Too much wisdom on this on 😂
Wow did i miss something?? Cheats are really about this?! 💔💔
Annaliza perfect epitome of crab mentality.. shame on you to score others low on purpose just so you can win. Should be kicked out of the show!
I don't like how Analiza cheats.
Would love to have an extra contestant who isn't the same culture and follows a googled recipe to see if they can win 😂
@Cat_ Steel That is *such* a clever idea! I hope the producers see your comment and add this twist to the game.
Great idea!!!!!!!!
That would be a great idea!
I was thinking the same thing! It'd be fun to watch.
Excellent idea
We really need a dads version for Filipino food.
Ye ye
Yes!!! Make sigsig, sinigang, or arroz caldo
Let's get this going Buzzfeed Dads get ready
We make cassava pone here in Guyana 🇬🇾. We add brown sugar, grated coconut, nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon spice, five spice, mixed essence, salt to taste. Then we bake it. It's so delicious. I'm starting to crave it talking about it😀 I think I'll try it this way though.
@@tiggy307 I'm definitely going to try and make it😌
@@youngboss8807 Same, it has sparked my interest.
In belize as well!
@@tiggy307 maybe your dad just can’t cook
As a Trinidadian, I can definitely tell you how much I'm craving it after this video
My mouth is watering watching this and I've never even tried cassava cake
Me too! I can only imagine what it tastes like, but it seems like it might be like a cross between cheesecake and flan.
@@PumpkinPails 🤤🤤🤤
Analiza was enjoying the cake so much till she realised that this cake is better than hers and decided to find fault that wasn't there to begin with. Gawd lady this ain't hunger game . You can be real
My mum is Colombian and we also eat cassava (yuca or mandioca) as well. We add this to soups, fried or make ‘tortas de yuca’ cassava cake. I am not surprised we have similar food and language given both countries are ex Spanish colonies. Muchos besos to my filipino cousins 🥰
Bring back the blindfolding and let them rate their own cakes!
GREAT IDEA
Exactly
Here on the Caribbean, (I live in Trinidad and Tobago btw) we have something similar called Pone or Cassava Pone. It's a dessert here as well
Annalize has been using this strategy every since , the true example of crab mentality i said what i said 😊 but i love them trying there best but it should be nicer if the scoring was fair and square
This makes me miss my mom! She had Jack fruit in her cassava cake too and everyone loved it at every party regardless of who they were or what their background was.
@Jason Bane It's an awful pain when we can't eat our moms' cooking anymore, isn't it! Even with the recipe, my steak and kidney pie will never be quite as right as my Liverpudlian mum's.
the lady who complained the 2nd one was too sweet, also complained the 1st one needed more condensed milk. Like, make up your mind woman!!!
Tita Analiza: now you know cassava cake is going to be sweet. It’s literally full of sugar and sweetened condensed milk 🙄
Hahaha then u should be the one judging then?
Can we get a 5th taste taster that is unbiased next video? Lol.
All cakes were beautiful so commenting them is useless BUT
Did you know that cassava originated from Latin America and was known to Indians from 4000 years ago
Cassava was introduced to some regions of Asia probably in 16/17 century but more widely in late 19 century. Nowadays Thailand is the largest exporter of it
Yh they didn’t say that there saying the cake is original to the country there from . Thanks for the info tho
@@cornmill6516 cake is originally from Philippines but plant isn't and has very short history of growing in their country
I hope after reading my comment, nobody would think that Indians 4000 years ago were baking cassava cakes
@@kcocrekcus8760 I understood what you wrote. I’m from South America and what you said is true. It actually originated from Brazil and then it spread elsewhere. But I didn’t know about Thailand. Thanks for the info. I like learning new things.
We have cassava cakes in St.Lucia 🇱🇨 as well. There are different flavors such as plain, salted, cherry, salt fish, chocolate etc.
Exactly! Cassava Pone is in other countries too! Especially the Carib Islands!
Yes, I was going to share that cassava cake/pone is very common across the Caribbean....slightly different execution but the same general concept. I loooooove cassava pone
Every Indigenous land with cassava has their own cassava cake. I wish I could try them all.
i’m waiting for Malaysian and Indonesian mums trying each other’s dishes.
Love Love Love when Filipinos try each other foods!
Everybody's cake looked amazing.
I’m happy she won. I like all of these ladies. They were all so sweet to each others dishes
I’m from Brazil and since we make so many dishes with cassava, I would love to try this cassava cake. It looks really delicious!!! My mouth is watering 😋
If you get to make it, it's better to use canned milk (evaporated or condensed) rather than the plain carton skim milk from the grocery store.
aqui na Bahia a gente come, é bem comum no interior, especialmente nas festas juninas
analiza is such a bummer it's so obvious she rates people low so she can outscore them
Very glad to see Analiza score folks a little better this episode. She has appeared, in previous episodes, to score very low arbitrarily. Much better and makes me glad she won.
I love Cassava cake with tons of condensed milk and cheese on top. Absolutely one of the best desserts ever made!
The winner was the one low scoring all the others... Pro strat.
They were all so nice to each other! So sweet
It’s so nice to see it’s being referred to as “cassava” just like where I’m from ,Guyana.
Sweet doesn't hit later. Sweetness hits at the very first bite. Bitterness hits later. Not like sweetness. Either the lady was overreacting or her taste buds can't be trusted.
The best cassava cake is soft and not too stiff in it's texture. And it MUST HAVE A LAYER OF CARAMELIZED CONDENSED MILK TOPPINGS.
Great video and one of my favourite desserts 💯
Analiza stop it ! I give you 3/10 for personality not food
The second cakes looks so good 😋
the winner needs to be replaced , period!
This is similar to something made in Trinidad. It’s called Pone
My mom makes cassava cake, she's from Nicaragua. No cheese is used. I love it
analiza be like:
"mmm its good, i think this version will win so I'll score it super low because I'm a competitive dumb bitch"
😂😂😂
Ahhh this is new to me. I'm accustomed to cassava pone in Barbados 🇧🇧 I'd try this 👍🏽
Film an episode called "Chinese Parents praise other Chinese Parents' kids".
Ok but where can I try this cake cus it sounds yummyy esp with the golden brown bit on the top, never had cassava but sounds interesting. Also can we have a persian mums rate each others ghormeh sabzi
I don’t trust Analiza. She literally switches up and it still feels like she’s underscoring to win, which is childish as helllll
I would love to see a Brazilian version of those videos, brazilian culinary is so rich
Cassava cake is literally my favorite omg. Now I'm craving 😭
Beautiful, nice and polite women. No toxicity
Now I’m craving cassava cake
This was interesting to watch! there's also different versions of Casave cakes throughout the caribbean.
There needs to be one additional unbiased judge because people are scoring low on purpose.
Analiza is a typical marites. Theres a phrase that perfectly describes her. "Utak talangka"
Analiza sure hits below the belt tho
they all got good scores
im gonna go to UK and you better put me in this show. 😄😄😄🤣🤣🤤🤤🤤
Similar to Jamaica! We have Cassava Pudding/Pone
For the next video let them try each other’s Lumpia.
In my home province at the north of Argentina, we grow a lot of casava. And in the indigenous guaraní tongue is called mandi'o, and in spanish (at least in Argentina) we call it mandioca... so, now i want to know why it sounds so similalar to tagalog xd
Maybe cuz the people who colonized their country spoke Spanish. I've noticed a lot of Filipino people have Spanish last names.
Is this the last one? I would love to see these women again.
Cassava Pone is made here in the Caribbean but I would like to try this Filipino cake
In Indonesia it's called Bolu Tape, fermented cassava cake
Definitely not just from 1 place I have had versions from all over I'm Trini we make it & a lot of island ppl do
Caribbean yucca cake also contains eggs, vanilla, and nutmeg
Analiza strikes again.
In my country Suriname🇸🇷 we call it "bojo"❤
Never seen one with such high scores from everyone! Musta been good!
Wow how fascinating
My Javanese grandma called cassava "telo menyok"
Well done!
Wow!!! The his looks like a delicious snack with a cup of coffee ☕️.. ❤️ Aloha 🤙🏽 y’all from Hawai’i .. will be looking for this snack out here ✨👌🏽
The person who won trifling 😂 She didn’t want second place.
For the Latin Americans, cassava is Yuca by the way.
Stop having a Analiza. She sabotages the others
Actually all are good! Close scores....well done Filipinas!!!!!💌
I want some sooo badly
Very similar to our cassava pone in the Caribbean
This one woman i really dislike how she puts everyone down
Mmmm I want some cassava cake 🥹🥹🥹
We call it Yuca in Dominican Republic
I bloody love cassava cake
We make cassava bread in Liberia, West Africa.
I need to try this… I love cassava and I def love cake
We have cassava cake in the Caribbean but we call it cassava pudding.
Shes such a player
So confused by the accents, then I saw it was Buzzfeed UK haha.
Analiza 3:28 oooh when she realizes she might lose
we have a similar cake in Surinam, its called Bojo
Analize, this is not fair
Learned something new
Casava cake is not only made in the philipines,.. they also make a great casava cake in Suriname. A country in South America
We make something similiar in my culture 🇭🇹
I make my cassava cake with macapuno. I never add cheese
Caramel top isnt to sweet even though she remarks it as sweet.. but the one everyone likes she is like uhmmm nooo to sweet
Why did Analiza changed her mind tho? She was feeling it then she did, she didn't say it had an after taste. Felt weird. She probably thought it was too good. Like you'll know if what your eating taste sweet or not.
1:37..
(...)No fluff.. it's no accident these mikes are tough !
It looks like bread pudding without the fruit
💀After seeing this in all the videos up to this one...I think it needs to be adressed: Can she at least stop showing off her immense acting talent? Like, at least score low without trying to find reasoning where there's not any.
