That's the thing about heroin. No matter the upbringing, no matter the situation, it can get you. Because if your brain enjoys opiates (some don't), I will tell you with confidence, there is nothing better in the entire world. Nothing at all. Imagine the thing you want most in the world is right there in a little pill. Nobody plans to get addicted, before it happens it seems like it would never happen to you; you can just decide to stop. It sneaks up on you but it is so hard to resist when the greatest possible feeling in life is so easily achievable by swallowing a pill. Once you're hooked, heroin is the next logical step for many. You want to embrace that euphoric apathy for the rest of your life. The warm embrace of opiates is the easiest place to exist. If there's anything you don't like in your life, it all washes away with that rush. None of it matters. Nothing matters and it's bliss. Soon enough the bliss fades and you can't reach that point anymore, but you try and try. Now you need the opiates in order to exist in the world without complete suffering. You're a junkie and there's no more euphoria. There's nothing but thinking about your next score in order to avoid the utter agony of sobriety. Don't even start because once you've lived on opiates, if you end up liking them, life will never be the same without them. It will ruin your life and change you in ways that were previously inconceivable.

True. Excellent post. Heroin addiction is probably the worst addiction to stop. The craving for it may never leave a recovering addict. I just hate the word junkie or addict. It's more like a sickness and the only way to stop is to be fed up,get help and rewire your thinking to embrace the Joy's of a sober lifestyle. It can be done with a will of steel. I've never tried heroin but I've lived with addicts and had to move 1000 miles away to get away from them cause they destroyed my house. Some things are unforgivable.

      Very true.
There is nothing like it at all.
That's why they give similar drugs to end of life cancer patients. It gives them a euphoric feeling.
But if you have ever been a heroin addict. They won't have the same pain relieving result . Which is a huge bummer.
My preferred drug. Been clean a long time now. I can't go back. It gets me every time.

She seems lack of some common sense about the harm of drugs and are extremely sensitive that does not take any criticism or negativity well . 😅 she really needed therapy , it’s all in her head , but I am afraid she is now 21 it’s a little too late to change anything . Her perceptions and the negative ways how she handles things have been formed .
I understand being bullied and do not have friends are not good , but a lot ppl gone through these . And most of them get over it and did not easily turn to drugs and had behavior issues .

@@yunni3371 I seem to agree with you. There are a lot of people who go through bullying and still grew up and lived their best lives. Unfortunately, my daughter chose the path this girl has chosen. She was bullied. I went up to the school and threatened the kids that were picking on my daughter. Told them to go get their mom's , aunties, whomever they want but they will leave my daughter alone. Thank God that worked and most of them left her alone. It was only one person who eventually stopped bc she wasn't getting the response she wanted. My daughter did amazing for many years then at 17 her virginity was stolen from her by her male friend. He went to jail , she couldn't deal with it and turned to drugs for three years. She's in rehab now and I hope to God the rehab works. I explained to my daughter that lots of ppl unfortunately go through that but that is no reason to turn to drugs. She needed to straighten up. God works in mysterious ways. 0 0 no detoxing isn’t just it. Getting clean is all about gaining confidence in yourself. treatment is supposed to help build you up the actual drug use is the smallest portion of getting back on track the worst part is many addicts have mental health issues and without addressing those problems once out of rehab it will be back to self medication not enough multi diagnosis facilities( mental health and addiction). Rehab 12 times is a lot but average is about 6 before success.

I met Ronnie when she was admitted to one of these "looney bins" here near fort worth, at the time I was struggling with my own horrific struggle that made it exceedingly hard to accept myself. When I met Ronnie, she was the shinning light at the end of the tunnel. I felt alone, I was sent there, I was told I was loved but it felt like a void, I felt unwanted but lied to as well. Every day we were there together we spoke & she always made me laugh, she one night was telling me stories about her father, and I regret immensely losing contact with her when I left the facility. But I had so many things affecting me that not many other things were able to continue happening for my life & I felt like she (and the others) were "to important" to hear what I had to say. How Ironic is it that if I would have just kept contact I could have given her the friend she needed & had at that time, but with my own problems I was unable to help even myself at the time. We mutually needed each other & I will forever regret not being able to still know how she is today. Ronnie, if you are reading this- you improved my confidence as a young male who was not accepted by most of my family & friends. At that point, I had given up & your generocity changed my perception of how you can still meet friends & meet people in a mutual situation where you feel isolated completely. I have thought of you each of these years, thinking to myself when we talked to the guy in the Courtyard about using mushrooms & in the "living room" talking about your parents- hoping that things got better. I miss you so much even if we didnt not know each other for very long- with everything in my heart I hope that we can speak again, or that you are able to rebuild your life with your son- its never to late. You have decades to come, NEVER give up- people you would never think of (me) are still thinking about you. Thank you so much Ronnie

@@ugladden - I absolutely disagree. That theory does not apply to every single person. I certainly did not become a product of my environment and I faced so much adversity that caused me a lot of pain and hurt even more so than what this girl Ronnie has gone through (if we are comparing notes). And I didn't choose drugs or get addicted to anything.
I did not allow the traumas and tragedies of my childhood and young adulthood to define me and I did not play victim. I rose above it to make a happy and successful, productive life for myself with a solid career and success. It wasn't easy, but I did it. And so can this girl if she truly wants to make different choices and get help. Not everyone who has faced trauma and tragedy end up like Ronnie and so many others like her. There are so many who like myself not only survive, but thrive.

    • @SilkyShish
      @SilkyShish 4 года назад +3

@NMB - Thank you. I agree with you that there are those from desirable family environments who don't turn out well. One of my good friends was raised by awesome parents in an upper class, privileged home and he turned out wonderful, has a upper management job, his wife is also beautiful, successful and kind and they have 3 kids and a wonderful home. But, his younger brother from the exact same family environment got into drugs and is an addict. He has stolen from his family, his friends and even by accident cut off part of his hand at work because he was so stoned and out of it. This is a situation of two siblings from the exact same privileged background where one ended up living a productive, positive life and the other one went down the wrong road and made bad choices.
This Ronnie girl in this video had a choice and did not have to choose drugs and to abuse substances. And she still has a choice now.

Ronnie, you’re so beautiful, well-spoken, intelligent and STRONG! It’s crazy what bullying can do to people. As someone who had been bullied, I can relate to some extent. The bullies don’t think much about what they’re doing but it can have serious effects on people smh. Despite all the things you had to go through, you still keep a strong mindset and still want to fight that battle, even if it’s a tough one, for your loved ones. You have come so far, from being afraid of what others might think about you to overcoming all of that fear along the way. And then here you are, bravely sharing stories that are so personal and inspiring. I’m so so so impressed by the way you tell your story, too, so eloquent and intelligent. This is a skill, a strength that not everyone has (me included). I can see how you became stronger and more powerful through your stories. I hope you and your baby all the best! I came across this channel tonight and watched a few videos. I saw Roniie's face and thought she was attractive and was interested in hearing about her story as a heroine addict. Her story mesmerized me and broke my heart. It made me cry to hear how much she suffered in her short life. She has an unbelievable and compelling story which unfortunately is much too common in this country and around the world. It was encouraging to hear how many time she tried to clean up, relapse and try again. I wish her the best and I'm sure her strength and story will encourage and inspire many people around the world.

I have wonderful parents and family but I hate myself and how I look , all due to being bullied and told I was a piece of shit all way through school , I still feel the same now at 43 . It stays with you for the rest of your life no matter if your educated or not . I am single and lonely and have friends but don’t have real friends because I don’t want to let any too close to me . I was able to see since I was a child the destruction the drug did to the people and their family. I lot bad things happened to this girl and I hope she will find peace in her life someday 🙏. She needs healing in her mind, body and soul.

It takes a lot of courage to be interviewed and talk about the deepest parts of your life without having you face blocked. Granted these people may be getting a form of compensation but I feel like despite that part they are releasing a lot pain trapped in their lives and I hope it brings peace to their soul. These stories allow me to dive into lives I never thought people lived. Its so easy to judge from outter appearences but I have a utmost respect for them to come forward and tell their story.

No Ronnie, you didn't "let" anything happen. Trying to survive while someone is mercilessly beating you isn't giving permission and there's no shame in wanting to live. No one should ever be put in the position where they have to choose between living or having someone take what should only be given.
