Vexx Lavon This IS a WW2 campaign. It’s all historically accurate. African men made up the bulk of the French army late in the war. Women fought in and led resistance cells in Norway. The special boat service was a thing. Stop complaining just because it doesn’t fit your narrow-minded view of the Second World War.

If Red Dead Redemption 2 gets a 10/10, then how the hell does this 6 hour campaign with broken AI and repetitive run and gun segments get a 7.3? I'm sorry, but as far as single player campaigns go, this is a joke in comparison.

Battlefield was never a singleplayer campaign sort of game. They didn't even have campaigns before Bad Company, just offline multiplayer in instant action with bots. Modern battlefields have obligatory campaigns, but everyone knows it's a multiplayer game, with the campaign as an added bonus side mode, not the main deal. Call of Duty on the other hand always do a very thorough, excellent job with their campaigns, even if they're short and shallow.
I just want a war game to feel like war during the campaign
Really enjoying the separate and more in-depth reviews of each component of the game. Please keep doing it for big games like this :)

You need to visit our country's a little and come and do your research. In Belgium almost 40 percent of the resistance was female. In norway and france it was little less but not by allot.

@@Shadow4192008 RDR2 single player experience is an 7-8/10 at best anyway. Clunky controls, very slow and 99% of the game is riding your horse.

@@basedplants we don't review multiplayer tutorial, but this is what ign is doing in this video. The singleplayer contents in BF are not qualified to get a review seperately. Plus the way they are doing this means that we have to wait much longer for a full review of a game.

I know they said it's a different take on World War 2, but damn it doesn't even look like World War 2 at all.
WW2 was just an excuse to sell this, their plan was to shove their polictical agenda down our throats all the way.
It feels like ww2. I'm the dillweed will early access, and most of the stuff is pretty realistic. Hardly notice the female soldiers.

To all those who are going to play this: I'd say campaign feels kind of same and there is a lot of switching players compared to BF1. But yeah, it is an overhaul when things like graphics, music, sound design are concerned. Yes, the game play is very similar to BF1. The War stories are amazing especially the Norway one but the game has very short campaign. It took me nearly 4 hours to complete all the War stories. The art direction is superb. Talking about inaccuracies, that didn't bothered me. The BR mode is decent though. You kind of get that adrenaline rush like in Blackout. Overall feels kind of expansion or re-skin of BF1 but i can agree since it has a year of development gap and aesthetically WW1 and WW2 are similar. Not saying the game wasn't fun. I had some great moments during the beta. It felt like i was playing on a unreleased map from BF1. Buy it or not, it's just a personal choice.

Nice one IGN for finally realizing that a 5 minute video isn't enough for games that have massively different and in-depth modes like COD with Zombies, Blackout and Classic Multiplayer.

My idea for a battlefield storyline set in WW2. You play as a prisoner who was drafted in the first group of people picked for the bad company squadron. From there it'll play as an inglorious bastards style story where you are a group of rag tag prisoners who's mission is to be dropped behind enemy lines and kill as much as possible.

I too have zero interest in the any FPS multiplayer game. But I like to play through the story. I would love if they split it and sold them separately.

As short and ehh as it seems(Yes ehh. Bite me). Its a bit nice they did stuff that hasn't been done to oblivion already. And that second campaign actually looks pretty cool, considering that most shooter campaign are literally a point and click extravaganza its nice that they added open maps and that survival mechanic which seemingly doesn't outstay its welcome. I'd assume open maps to be their strength since that's the games bank on for the battles.
Still a bit sad they didn't go all out and do a crazy alternate spin on World War 2 which would've been cool to see a big budget game do.

This game looks like a ps2 game with PS4 graphics. The ai is horrible. But on the upside there’s still single player missions unlike cod.

I'm looking for an age rated 16 gun game and this seems ideal as I'm not yet allowed 18's. I'm just curious whether I have to have ps plus to even play the game. And also I domt think any of my friends have this game so is it possible to play one player and is it still worth it then. If anyone has any experience or knowledge I'm open to responses 👍🏻

Battlefield started as a PC game.. And now its went back to be a "PC" game
I wanted a realistic story not running around alone like a headless chicken shooting and health automatically regenerating
if I get around to it I will probably think of it as a Wolfenstein deal when it comes to historical accuracy for my own health.
