Junior Saucedo the campaign is short but it continues in spec ops & it’s the best recent COD we’ve gotten in a long time so it’s definitely worth the money
Finished the campaign last night, by far one of the best cod campaigns I’ve touched in a long time. I will be for sure coming back to this one again. They took the last 3 modern warfares and bunched up a bunch of mechanics from each of them. Infinity Ward did a great job with this game. Can’t wait to play through spec ops.
@Nick Lawson They are not. CoD will always be successful, because oldfags and children buy it every year. Russians just hate the way game handles politics and "crimes" that are committed by "damn russkies". And I can only agree, It is disgusting how russians and russia is portrayed in this game
TheBigSAM TheBigSAM agreed. Even if we put all the politics aside, portraying the Russians as one dimensional baddies kinda contradicts the message the game is trying to send.
I’ve played every call of duty and this one is just amazing. I had more fun playing story mode then multiplayer. I do wish it had some more interaction with the US and their story being in the Middle East but maybe that’ll happen in the next one. 4.5/5 for me! The SAS missions were real like and coming from a Infantryman in the Marine Corps they did a fantastic job with CQB operations at night time with stacking up and clearing rooms to going up the stairs in a stack.
Five hours? You must have sped run it on Recruit. Playing Realism, it took me around 7 to 8 hours. Realism also much further adds to that grey area when you have to make much faster decisions. It's far more immersive. Obviously much harder, but I feel how this campaign should be played.
@@thecreepnextdoor7560 Trying to speed run something just to get a review out asap doesn't mean he's doing his job well. Didn't say he did his poorly either. Thought it was a solid review. Just thought it was odd that he said it only took 5 hours when I've heard mostly between 6 and 8.
It straddles the moral line because they cannot make statements without taking a position as a company- which is a risk. Creators choose at times to be neutral. We can all learn lessons from realism, and there are some elements of that here, which makes it exciting without the casualties. Most people don't get that if they sign up, they could find themselves in hell, on foreign soil, lives ripped away from them, never knowing what for, truly. Great point you have.

Joseph Hernandez well that’s basically activisions slogan
"We get backlash, the world gets butthurt"-Activision haha
Ya I said that
Sad but true...
"we get rich, and the world stays broke, thats the mission" ~ Price
I was so happy that they got Captain Price to say the same line he did in the first mission of CoD 4 in this game, once I saw the character we play as get picked up off of the ground during that one stealth mission I knew it was coming.
Sadly its not the same guy playing him
@@stevenplopezii9919 Yeah, it's unfortunate it didn't have the same kind of impact this time around, but it was still nice to hear
@@stevenplopezii9919 yeah, I wish Billy Murray reprised his role, but the new guy does not disappoint as well.
"That's right, it's cool to shoot at Russia again"
What kind of video game reviewer says that? I'm surprised no one else had a problem with that statement of yours.
They also used a fictional middle eastern country because reasons.
I feel they need to edit that out.. that's a very strange statement, unbelievable that it got the green light from higher ups
It's just a callback to the MW series
@@josephray9695 middle eastern country? Are you serious?
I'm 22 and I feel like I'm playing mw2 I just wish I had my old squad back I miss the old days
It would've been nice if Ghost appeared in this one, lol :)
I think you said “infinity war” somewhere in there
Story mode was toooooo short. Loved it. Soon as I was getting into it completely it was just over.......😢
Colin Burnett that’s what I was thinking !
Perhaps they will offer DLC content to expand the campaign.
COD tends to focus on multiplayer I believe
"Unarmed woman die" IGN 2019
If it makes them feel better, you have to shoot a few armed women at some points in the game.
That's why the 2a is especially important for women. Guns are the great equalizer.
Yeah i dont care... its a game not real life.
IGN not even trying to hide their sexism. Pretty sure a lot of unarmed men die too.
Should be "unarmed PEOPLE die"
This campaign looks beautiful! A lot of players jump strait into multiplayer but I really appreciate a well made campaign.
a 5 hour campaign and you've detailed 3 of the missions already
huricane threeonesix damn is it really only 5 hours? I don’t play multiplayer so for $60 it doesn’t seem worth it if that’s the case
Junior Saucedo it’s absolutely worth it dude, just finished it. Greatest Call of Duty campaign I’ve ever played, and I’ve played damn near every one. Spec Ops is fantastic, too.
Junior Saucedo the campaign is short but it continues in spec ops & it’s the best recent COD we’ve gotten in a long time so it’s definitely worth the money
I can't remember the reviewer but they said it was an 8 hour campaign not 5
@@That-Will-Do-It but on what difficulty?
I’m glad I bought this game for 9$ by trading 4 games that I don’t play anymore
Finished the campaign last night, by far one of the best cod campaigns I’ve touched in a long time. I will be for sure coming back to this one again. They took the last 3 modern warfares and bunched up a bunch of mechanics from each of them. Infinity Ward did a great job with this game. Can’t wait to play through spec ops.
I'm on my honeymoon right now. Wish I was playing this while my wife is enjoying her beach time lol

Online People: "The campaign isn’t as controversial as they were making it out to be."
Me: *waiting for international press to react to that*
Go read the reviews that users are leaving on Metacritic. There are hundreds of Russians commenting about how it portrays their country right now.
Ab z it does not do that because of a one russian man named nick
I wish the campaign was bit longer. Loved it tough ❤️
So far it's been amazing and wild. Really well done and big improvement in so many ways over previous CoD games.
Yeah damn right !! I wonder why ppl prefer advanced warfare campaign...

Five hours? You must have sped run it on Recruit. Playing Realism, it took me around 7 to 8 hours. Realism also much further adds to that grey area when you have to make much faster decisions. It's far more immersive. Obviously much harder, but I feel how this campaign should be played.
or he is doing his job well but that couldn't be the case...
i beat it in 3.5 not including cutscenes on veteran its easily the easiest campaign ive ever played.
Normal, that's on What the Campaign is Made to be Played on..
@@SeaGLGaming 100% agreed
“Isn’t that provocative...” coming from a journalist whose outlet critiqued the game just by rumors alone.
You must have missed the missions Clean House, Wolfs Den and when Farah is in prison missions if you missed the morally questionable parts
Campaign for me started off crazy and intense then just dwindled down into being a normal COD campaign
Sturgis right I noticed that too when I finished it last night
Wasn’t a huge fan at the beginning. I didn’t like that I was dropped in with no backstory at all or info on what I was doing. For some reason we were looking for gas and chem weapons. But I was quickly satisfied about a third through.
that last mission was meh at best
I Actually liked the second half more.. Less gimmicky stuff
Michael William ? I disagree completely
To say I'm more into SP than MP would be an understatement. It's great when you can still get a quality campaign and don't have to pass on the newest addition to a beloved franchise because they went MP only.

"It's cool to shoot Russian again"
Really, IGN? WTF?
Ana Ankorra I think they meant the game goes back to the tradition of old modern warfare trilogy where you generally play as American/British shooting up Russians.
@@diver2791 maybe. but it still sounds weird
That line was actually in the game and before. Obviously you dont play

It might be just me, but the Embassy mission reminded me of the movie 13 hours. This campaign is simply jaw-dropping
He said the US but forgets that your playing as the SAS not just the US.
its a joint op so he should have said both (UK, US)

This game is as close to reality as you can get in my opinion. I have played the single player and multiplayer, including Ground War and TDM, and I am just in awe. Activision and Infinity Ward really stepped up their game and made an epic comeback to one of the most beloved series of all time. I am so thrilled about how intense this game is. The sound quality is mind blowing and the weapons feel like they have some serious power in them. They also revamped Night Vision Goggles, they look so amazing in the dark. A big plus for everyone has to be the return of our favorite characters, Captain Price and Sgt. Griggs. What a comeback this game is, I know I will be putting plenty of hours into this.
