Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
The film features an ensemble cast, including Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”), two-time Oscar nominee Jude Law (“Cold Mountain,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley”), Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, William Nadylam, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Victoria Yeates, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Fiona Glascott, Katherine Waterston, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Richard Coyle, Oliver Masucci, Valerie Pachner, and Mads Mikkelsen.
“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” was directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling & Steve Kloves, based upon a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. The film was produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram and Tim Lewis. Neil Blair, Danny Cohen, Josh Berger, Courtenay Valenti and Michael Sharp served as executive producers.
The film’s behind-the-scenes creative team included director of photography George Richmond (“Rocketman,” “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”), three-time Oscar-winning production designer Stuart Craig (“The English Patient,” “Dangerous Liaisons,” “Gandhi,” the “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” films) and production designer Neil Lamont (“Solo: A Star Wars Story,” “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”), Yates’ longtime editor Mark Day (“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” the last four “Harry Potter” films), Oscar-nominated visual effects supervisor Christian Mänz (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1,” the “Fantastic Beasts” films), and four-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (“Chicago,” “Memoirs of a Geisha,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”). Warner Bros. He even has a spot on his left cheek, as Gambon does, and they're in nearly the same place. I thought it was a fantastic piece of continuity, but it's literally just a natural part of both of them. It's amazing.

Johny depp Will be mist though
Jacob and a wise wizard makes for a great pairing. He was great with Nicolas Flamel in Crimes of Grindelwald and he's great with Albus Dumbledore in Secrets of Dumbledore. The juxtaposition is fantastic and so complementary.

Mads Mikkelsen has always been the Grindelwald I imagined in the books. Glad it's come to fruition. Shame it's at the expense of another though.
Absolutely excited about the new movie. Jacob teaming up with Dumbledor? YES!!! But I'm curious as to why Tina is still not shown in the trailer.
Same. I don't think they've shown Queenie yet either. They'll be in it, but I think Tina's going to search for Queenie or at least try and find out where she might've gone.
This movie seems to be way more action-packed than the last two, which I'm very excited about since action sequences are my favourite part of the Wizarding World.

Queenie has a significant role in this movie, but Tina is entirely sidelined. She only appears in a photo and one scene at the end. Aurors are busy, eh?
I might be wrong but I believe the out of universe explanation is that the actress all ill whilst filming and they had to work around it
I think I saw Queenie just at the end when Jacob is causing trouble with the wand!
What I love about Jacob Is that he's the only muggle that use the wand and experience and be with the Magic World without being obliviate!!(not talking about the first film) LIKE LOOK 0:50 Dumbeldore gave him a wand!!😭❤️Jacob is so happy!! xD 1:02 imagine him becoming from Muggle to a Wizard and thats what all the Potter heads has been dreaming since forever!! 2:28 YAAAA

Well reviews matters for box office numbers anyways in case whether people should spend their money or not. Even The Crimes of Grindelwald was a massive dissapointment and became the lowest grossing movie in the HP franchise. Reviews needed the most to have some criticism so this franchise could improve more in the future and learned their mistakes in the past. They learned their mistake in the second movie by having an actual good screenwriter to co-write the script with Rowling. Rowling is a book author, not a screenwriter. She definitely needs a help from a professional screenwriter

sadly the moment a woman claims anything bad about you, your life is over. Even when its a lie. Its why I personally WONT be watching the rest of the films. Or Aquaman 2. Anything with Amber in, even a small role. Or any film Depp was meant to be in but let go of because of a lying sociopath.

One of the secrets is that Dumbledore as a young man first started the belief in the war against the Muggles. He convinced Grindlewald. who became his first follower. Dumbledore secret is he created the monster of Grindlewald.

Their fight is either:
1. A dream/nightmare/vision of what's to come.
2. The blood pact has been destroyed and this is their first duel before the big one.
But didn't Dumbledore say that the first time he faces Grindelwald is at the final duel? Or is the meeting a secret?

Probably Rowling retconning her own lore again. Dumbledore was reluctant to face Grindelwald even after destroying the Bloodpact. And they only faced off one time. Which was the duel in 1945.

I agree with everyone's comment. Depp brought forward like this whole other character and he made a great villain with the make up. Mads makes a different Grindelwald, different makeup different person in general.
