When both Grindlewald and Dumbledore attacked each, their mutual defiance towards the pact caused it to break. It cannot hurt both of them at the same time, it therefore is undone. Neither of them can destroy the pact alone and they cannot think of betraying each other. Their meeting and its result was a catalyst leading to their final fight which unfortunately is likely never happening.

I'm not sure anyone else has noticed this, but if one remembers the notes sung some seconds after the Dumbledore vs Grindelwald fight ends and the then broken blood pact floats in mid air, those same notes are played instrumentally in this scene when Dumbledore is holding it up. At the beginning of the movie still bound together but when heard at the end a symbolism of their final split.

The best Fantastic Beasts was the first one, reason being it brought you back into the Wizarding world with a sense of familiarity, newness, and excitement. We as the audience experienced the world through Jacob's eyes, but as fans were able to see all the ways it connected and referenced what we read in HP books. The characters were interesting and we'll acted aswell. It's probably my favorite "Harry Potter" Movie.
The 2 and 3 movie focus more on plot, than the experience of magic. I enjoyed Crimes of Grindelwald, but the plot and story sort of feel like a jumbled mess, buut it lands amazingly. Johnny Depp really does a fantastic job of being charismatic, convincing and intimidating. Jude Law is a perfect young Dumbledore. The final 3rd act was just amazing, The speech, WW2 vision, Queeny leaving, Credence/ Dumbledore reveal. It leaves you with excitement of what's to come.
This 3rd movie has the opposite affect. The 1st half starts interesting with the restaurant scene, and quickly promises a delightfully confusing scheme, that should unfold in a clever way, and with a title like "Secrets of Dumbledore" you can only wonder what those secrets will be. But I feel as if that aspect is never fully rewarded, and 3rd act wasn't as exciting as promised. I do enjoy the franchise as a whole and hope they are able to finish the story of Dumbledore vs Grindelwald in a worthy way.

Personally, while I don’t hate the FB films at all, there are still a few things that bother me:
      1. Plotholes. Not really in the first film since that was a completely new world of characters and places we hadn’t seen before but once they started merging the Hogwarts world into it there started to be huuge holes and inconsistencies.
      2. Characters. There are so many interesting characters with complicated backstories in the FB films but they just didn’t have time to do them justice. And then some actors didn’t wanna continue (like the actress for Nagini) so they added even more characters. Now they tried to give everyone at least some closure in FB3 which I liked but some fell very short (like Yusuf). They would’ve needed like twice as long a film to wrap everything up properly.
      3. I don’t like how a lot of the magical items or beasts are introduced. They just pop up without any explanation and just as quickly disappear without adding much to the story. Take Dumbledore‘s pocket watch thing. He takes it out briefly to look at Credence then its never seen again. Could it be sth like a foeglass? Maybe but we don’t know and it doesn’t really matter either. Compare that to something like the sorting hat or the deluminator. While in HP we also rarely get to know why something works the way it does the items have a name, a backstory and a relevance in the plot. Now I get that this is actually a lot harder to do in FB bc one of the brilliant things in HP was that we were discovering the magical world alongside the students who also saw all of these things for the first time. In FB the characters are all adult experienced wizards. It would be weird if Dumbledore suddenly started explaining his spells to Newt. In FB1 it was nice because we had a similar situation with Jacob learning about magic.
But FB2 was a lot weaker imo. There were so many cool effects and amazing visuals, they had a bigger budget than HP ever had but it didn’t touch me the way HP did at all. It just didn’t have that depth to it.
And that’s exactly why I loved FB3 so much more. It’s arguably the holiest of plots and the election story line wasn’t like my top favourite but the center of the film was the Dumbledore/Grindelwald relationship and that was SO incredibly well done that I can overlook a lot of the rest. It’s why I also never minded plotholes in HP that much. For me enjoying a movie is a lot about feeling emotionally connected to it and FB3 did that very well.
…If anyone actually read this kudos 😂

The Potter movies weren't as good as the books but due to the huge popularity of the books and perfect casting people loved the potterverse. And if it wasn't for Dumbledore the original series fans wouldn't care much about the prequels. And Johnny's Grindelwald had that maniacal glint. This guy simply has to be stated as dangerous. We wouldn't feel he is dangerous.

The tone of the movies never really found its groove, and they completely brushed over what could’ve been a really good flushed out relationship between Dumbledore and Grindelwald. It seems like the studio said, “people like Dumbledore in the old movies, why change him?” He was the same wise & witty, dumbledore, just younger and hotter. I’m beyond disappointed in these films as a huge potterhead.

In the scene where dumbledore and credence meet on the street and have a little fight, i thought dumbledore used legillimency on credence as the space they are in is something other than the real world and dumbledore seems to be in control of it.

They have five originally planned, which sounds crazy but I hope it gets done. I'm just really interested in the story, but I would like to see movies that deal with post Harry Potter. There's just too much going backwards with the Wizarding World:
-Hogwarts Mystery (Mobile game set just after The Potters death).
-Fantastic Beasts (set before Harry's story).
-Hogwarts Legacy (upcoming next generation console game set in 1800s Wizarding World). Just to name a few examples. Still hoping for more Fantastic Beasts. At least until they finish the story.

Pretty much sums up his way of dealing with things. He told Harry very little about how to succeed in hunting horcruxes, he left the trio to sort out problems themselves. He told Harry to force him to drink the potion in the cave. He asked Snape to support and carry out his plans even if he was unsure about them.

The blood thing is dark magic in itself. And just to help you out, strong wizards don't need to shout spell names to cast them, only newbies. In fact, Dumbledore doesn't even need to use a wand, his hands alone will do just fine.
